It seems lately almost every new DAG there are people that are getting issues with mining ETH under Windows 10. So far my 4GB are mining using PhoenixMiner under Ubuntu. Its the same with the people that are still using Claymore under WIndows 10.

Every DAG they either get some DAG error on start-up or they get some extremely slow speed. I think we got like 1.5 months left on these 4GB cards and they will only be possible under Ubuntu. So its a pain to initially set up especially coming from the easy Windows 10 but its the only temp solution right now unless you want to upgrade to >6GB GPUS.

did anyone get dual mining running on AMD RX 5700 XT, please?

I tried Claymore...then noticed on above by mentioned card only ETH mining is possible.

I have setup dual mining as described on first page of this thread but a second coin mining rate always 0 despite shares from nicehash accepted but not processed.

Regarding the DAG limit, what is the general consensus of continuing mining past epoch 380 with a 8GB card in PCI-E #0? If the DAG continues to rise past 4GB, would that make split setups with 4GB cards obsolete?

Yes you would basically have to remove those GPUs because they wouldn't be able to mine at all. Even if you got an 8GB GPU in the main slot. Basically ETC might do a fork and reduce its DAG back to 2.5 GB so you can try and mine that with your 4GB GPUs.

Smart idea since many of the obsolete ETH ASICS and obsolete >3GB would be able to mine again and it helps the ETC network because it might prevent these 51% attacks from happening.

Ah thats unfortunate, thank you for the information, as it will help me prepare my rigs into 2021

If i want to apply this

-mt <n> VRAM timings (AMD under Windows only): 0 - default VBIOS values; 1 - faster timings; 2 - fastest timings.
The default is 0. This is useful for mining with AMD cards without modding the VBIOS. If you have modded BIOS,
it is probably faster than even -mt 2

To only one GPU of the 6 that has got the rig, how i can do it?

I wonder what is point of 3090 @ ~120 with price tag 1600€ if you can get 4x RX 5700 XT @ 220 Mh/s for same price?

around 300W @ 120 (0.4Mh/W) vs. 440 @ 220 (0.5Mh/W)

Simply less space and equipment around. But thats a different story and nothing for this thread.

Please BANNING all those wich spread those "pills" and viruses.

I AGREE!!! --

The moderator is deleting "pill" posts as soon as the post is reported.  No need to quote the post, just hit the "report" link in the bottom right corner of the post.  Quoting the post is a mistake; it keeps the malicious link alive.

I believe the user-name associated with any pill post is also being banned.  Old, unused user-names are being recycled (purchased, stolen?) in order to continue the malicious link campaign.  Newbies beware, the link may drain your wallet.       --scryptr

They changed the servers, few days ago, and now even me can not mine with 8 giga , so I switch to Phoenix again, and so far its good, little less MHs but its mining and it have average 140 shares per hour

Good day all.
I'm preety new to phoenix but decided to give it a shot as previously been using Claymore.

Can someome guide me on how to setup the script for the Phoenixminer? Using Claymore for my RX580 yield averagely 32mhs with the afterburner setting but in Phoenixminer im just obtained 24-25mhs.

I paste the batch file as below so hope if someone able to guide me on jow to go about it. Thanks guys.

PhoenixMiner.exe -pool eth-asia1.nanopool.org:9999 -wal 0x2bda15110a4e91ee5b458fa5d6f668230ee29372.RX580 -epsw x -amd -acm -mi 1 -gt 126 -mode 1 -clKernel 3 -clNew 1 -clf 0 -lidag 1 -openclLocalWork 64 -openclGlobalMultiplier 4096
pause

If you are getting 24-25mhs you will have to manually strap your GPUs in the bios. I had the straps work in the past with Claymore but with Phoenix I couldn't get them to work properly. This was under Linux however, maybe its different in Windows.

Just search for PimpMyStraps or just use a bios editor and copy the straps from 1500Mhz all the way to the rest of the memory clocks and flash it. Just search this forum or Youtube and there are step by step guides on how to do this.

What GPU do you have? Some GPU's have dual BIOS. So if you make a mistake, just flip the switch over to the other bios and then flip it back once in Windows to reflash. This only works with dual BIOS cards so just keep that in mind.
