So the day has come. What is the best route to Linux? One of those builds you pay a monthly fee for? I can install a free distro but would probably need a step by step guide to get the rigs mining. Or I would need days....

Good drivers. These are versions from 18.12.1.1 to 19.7.5 (inclusive), and from 19.12.2 to 20.8.1 (inclusive). These will allow you to mine until DAG epoch 372-373 and won't need restart of PhoenixMiner on each DAG epoch change.
Not so good drivers. These are versions 18.1.1 to 18.10.1 (inclusive), and from 19.8.1 to 19.12.1 (inclusive). This will allow you to mine until DAG epoch 365-366 and will require restart of PhoenixMiner on each DAG epoch change (for these drivers this will be preformed automatically unless you have added -dagrestart 0 command-line option to explicitly disable the auto-restart).

Your 8GB RX580 should be able to mine ETC without issues though, even with Blockchain drivers.

I tried with Lubuntu but it crashed when I was installing the gpu drivers, so I tried HiveOS after that and it was very easy to set up everything.

Today some gpu´s goes to 0 mh. But i don´t understand why. 12 Rigs with driver 19.7.4 and on 3 rigs one or 2 cards mining with 0 mh. All other rigs works perfect.

There is no rule which rig will do.  Just next DAG will cut more...

Only 584 GPUs stop mining and only on Phoenix. 574 still works. Another miners also still works. It's Phoenix problem.

I confirm that. Problem is with 480 and 580 4Gb cards only.
As well as they run with smaller DAG coins on 5.1c

Any 470 and 570 4Gb I have, keep working with no problems.

Has anyone been able to get Phoenix working on Ubuntu?  I have it working however I cannot get the AMD pro driver's installed so it will not recognize any GPUs

I am using ./amdgpu-pro-install -y --opencl=legacy,rocm --headless and it locks up at 96% on  Building initial module for 5.4.0-42-generic....any ideas?

I am using Ubuntu 20.04.1 and ive tried the 20.30 and 20.40 drivers

Thanks

please miner freinds help to set up my rig. im new in phoenix miner. my cards running slow especially rx570 giving 26mhs. it was giving 30mhs on claymore. here is bat file, what can i add and remove.
Thank you everybody.

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
PhoenixMiner.exe -pool stratum+tcp://daggerhashimoto.eu.nicehash.com:3353 -wal 3KPDtEhehBkrgKbXhTx4pZ86n8hgbNyy4E -pass x -proto 4 -stales 0 -cclock 1170 -cvddc 920 -mclock 2070,2070,2010,2070,2070,2070,2070 -mvddc 920 -mt 1 -mi 11
1) You should download the soft amdmemtweak(cli version). Put soft to the same miner folder and right-click at the application->properties->compatibility->click run as administrator.
2) put the command: "amdmemtweak.exe  -i 0,1,2,3,4,5,6 -ref 30"  under the command "setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100"
3) Otherwise you should lower cclock to 1140/1150 (for 570.8gb) or 1100 (for 4gb cards); cvddc lower to 830-875; mclock to 2025; mvddc to 810-830.

Hope you have desirable hashrate with low power.

Thanks for help
All cards are 8g. REF 30 only giving 480 30.5Mhs and 570 giving 26.5Mhs, it is too low compared to claymore. if i go below 920volts my cards crashes or i get alot incorrect shares. 2060-2070 memory i best i can get till now. How people get 800mv and run these cards? there must be something i missed, Claymore not working anymore and no updates from him. Phoenix how i can get good results? How? AMD mem tweak does the job if you play with timings but im not expert in timings, how to set timing on AMD mem tweak? i tried get straps from claymore and i got them. but as soon as i apply it rig crashes restart. Sad

...
Mr Phoenix please improve miner like adding strap option.

How about reading the documentation? It is all there.

yes, but a Vega 64 with the strap option in Claymore can go up to 44 Mh/s, while using the Phoenixminer -mt option it can hardly reach 40 Mh/s

Hmm, my vegas 64 doing 49Mh/s just fine with phoenix...

yes. this is the correct number.

Uh. If all your cards are 8gb, you can use Claymore with newer or newest or even blockchain beta amd driver. Put the command -strap 1 and -rxboost 1 to your config file. Claymore will auto-finding the best suitable timing strap for each card on-the-fly. And this time you can try lower cclock, cvddc, mvddc to achieve lowest power.

I am using Ubuntu Desktop booting from a USB, maybe that is my issue...
