1001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers understood the game on: May 22, 2023, 01:35:37 PM
The thing is, they are small time winners and big time losers, I mean they lose more than winning, it's been two weeks and two of them tell me about their loss and gains, but they make it feel normal, to them it really is, not like the crypto investors today, always in hurry to double their money, some are even scared of investing in Bitcoin, which is the safest of them all.

How do you feel that you invited four (4) people in crypto gambling? Do you feel this sense of accomplishment that you influenced them in this kind of activity? Personally, I would feel somehow bad for letting them into this kind of addicting activity.

Though that may be the case, I do agree on the last point you mentioned. The essence of investment means that you invest for future profit. If one is in a hurry to gain a quick profit, chances are that they would probably lose on their investment.
1002  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why so many mixers all of a sudden? on: May 21, 2023, 11:56:43 PM
Fast forward to this day, there are so many mixers you can now choose from! Which begs the question for me, why is that? I get it, Chipmixer is down so some people saw an opportunity. But is this the real answer or is there some kind of service creating mixers out of thin air like those services we used to have which allowed you to create a new Altcoin in literally minutes?

To be fair and honest with you, I’m scared of using these unknown mixers especially now that new ones pop up so often.

Maybe this is the influence on of ChipMixer being down on the market. Ever since it shutdown, lots of mixers have been surfacing as ChipMixer controlled majority of the mixer services in the market. This is an opportunity for most mixers given the amount of profit that they earn in a given day.

If you are unfamiliar with a certain mixer, better ask first in this forum for feedback from other persons who have used it as well. If no feedback or information is given in a certain mixer, better avoid it for your safety and security. Only use mixers that are advertised in this forum or has ample feedback from the community so you can have an overview of their experience in using such service.

1004  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CHESS] FIDE Candidates Chess Tournament 2022 on: May 21, 2023, 11:24:57 PM
In my opinion, too many tournaments are played nowadays, in the past you had a tournament a few times a year in which all the stars came together and then you had the world championship. Players now play against each other almost weekly, and it is always the same players with the pieces on the chessboard. I think you need to change the setup and think about a different concept. It is no longer fun for the players or for the spectators. A lot is also played online, you can watch things on various broadcasting sites, but Carlsen can also often be admired in matches against the speed chess beast Nakamura.

It is not true. Classical chess is now played with about the same frequency as before, or even less (but certainly not more). Previously, rapid chess or blitz was considered a marginal niche and no one took it seriously, but now times have changed and no one is interested in watching a game that lasts several hours. Plus, the development of the Internet allows players to play almost around the clock (if they have the strength) and this is in demand both by spectators and sponsors.

I do agree that Classical Chess is now played more in this day and age.

The problem with watching Classical Chess is the time that each players take a move. Since it takes around more than 3+ hours for the game to finish, it is relatively hard to captivate an audience in finishing a given match. This is the reason on why more rapid and blitz time formats are played regularly in these hosted and prestigious tournaments.

I strongly believe that Chess is in a good position now. Lots of streamers (e.g. Naroditsky, Nakamura, Botez sisters, Levi, etc.) are now hosting more and more videos that increase viewership in this sport.
1005  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: increased Youtube Gambling ads? on: May 21, 2023, 11:07:52 PM
The increase in the Ads sponsored by gambling sites is a result of a surge in the cryptocurrency gambling industry and this could be seen in the way the new casinos are being launched and introduced into the market, casino business has witnessed a wide range increase in adoption since the covid luck down, and a lot of them are spending good money in advertisements.

So, youtube is one of the popular social media where casinos promote their companies in the form of Ads which interrupt streamers' videos just to promote their own business.

Just to add, even random YouTube content creators advertise their own local casino and integrate it at the end of their videos.

I remember I was watching this creator on YouTube where he regularly posts prank videos which are funny as hell. But at the end of his every video, he was advertising this online gambling casino in which I believe is that he is a part of the admins on such website. It really destroys the whole image on how he created himself as this "funny guy" then suddenly he is now sharing ads of gambling platforms.

The funny thing is, after seeing his advertisements, the YouTube video ends with an ad which advertises another online gambling mobile application. It is just ridiculous at this point to see everything related to gambling.
1006  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker coming to stake.com in the near future ! on: May 21, 2023, 10:43:21 PM
It would be great if that happened. To be honest, finding a place to play poker using crypto is very difficult right now.

Really? I didn't realize that was a thing. I mean Poker is one of the most famous games in the gambling industry, how come they missed it till now? Maybe it is because I am not really into Poker that's why it surprised me that much. Anyway If that's the case then stake.com nailed it right in the head once again. We already know stake.com has a top quality reputation and I am sure they are not going to mess this one up. Poker players will be happy with these news without a doubt.

Maybe it has something to do with KYC which renders it difficult to implement? I am not sure on why poker was such a challenge to be implemented given that other card games such as black jack, etc. are accessible in most online gambling platforms that I have played.

With this fact, this is definitely great news as this allows at least some interaction with other players. Knowing that you see a live game with real people participating makes the gambling game more interactive and alive at the same time. I hope that they add more features that cater towards interaction among players.
1007  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Think Casinos Should Do Survey From Time To Time To Assess You. on: May 20, 2023, 11:56:03 PM
Do you think casinos should implement a survey assessment from time to time to assess gamblers if they are comfortable spending more and if they are using VPN all the time even if they allow the use of VPN.

With regard to the usage of VPNs, I think every online casino has their respective terms and services which stipulate all the necessary prohibitions. For example, if the terms stipulate that they exclusively prohibit the usage of VPNs, then this should be constructive notice to all players in creating their accounts.

With regard to the survey if they are comfortably spending more time, I do think that it may help but gambling is a discretionary act. It is very easy to circumvent this and as a player I would get annoyed if surveys would be asked in a consistent basis.

Quote
This is for the casinos to avoid issues in the future when players look for loopholes to regain their losses by charging them in court.

I read this in a separate thread- did these person win the case? As far as I know, they have a lack of cause of action against these gambling establishments as their case should fail from the very start.
1008  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Budget For Halving on: May 20, 2023, 11:37:27 PM
I will not advice anyone to take a loan because of bitcoin halving. You may think it will not be more than three months before the significant bull run, but it may take longer before it begins or finally happens.

But if you save money and able to hold bitcoin, that is fine. Bitcoin has not disappointed yet. It is a good idea.

I definitely agree with you.

It actually applies to almost everything in cryptocurrencies- taking out a loan for investment or gambling is a very risky move that has more chances of you failing at the end. Even with the success of BTC investors during halving, one should never take a loan against an activity or investment with no absolute outcome.

My recommendation would be to invest your savings and the amount that you can lose at the same time. Treat any investment as money that can potentially be lost in the process.
1009  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some Oldest Casinos in the World on: May 20, 2023, 10:57:56 PM
Nice list but I think they are out of date right now in the era of Internet and online gambling and most likely they are only there for nostalgic old generation who have played in any of these casinos and I think the only casino standing the time are those from Las Vegas the capital of gambling,a city who never sleeps. The things these casinos can do to "compete" with online giants is to offer free meals and free drinks for anyone playing there which most likely they do now,as there are no other entices in order for people to be teased and to go there nowadays in our time.

Anyway they must be nice attraction to tourists visiting these cities and I would assume that they are now more of historical value rather than a lot of people to follow them and play there but anything can happen.

I do think that what separates an online vs a physical casino are the amenities and complementaries that you receive upon entering the establishment. You also get to feel the ambience and environment of a physical casino since you get to interact with everyone and experience the whole venue. Not to mention, they offer free foods and hotel suits once you get to spend an xxx amount of money during your stay.

Though this may be the case, I do agree that the era of entering physical casinos are slowly going obsolete due to the presence of thousands of online gambling website nowadays. Though there may be some people who still prefer visiting a physical casino, I still think that the dominance of online gambling websites would prevail in the near future.
1010  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling is a choice. on: May 20, 2023, 10:32:43 PM
Petty people are found both online and offline, one should stay away from them. It was woman's fault to bother with these people in first place, just like if you get scammed online, gullibility is to be blamed.
well blaming someone will never change the reality that we are loser in some time.
there are others that succeed while many are losing but still gambling continue to grow and that is because of the nature as we are excited and looking for higher chances  of winning.
I agree that we must blame gullibility and change this in future to not become addicted .

If there is one thing I learned over the years of gambling, it is that the house always win. Sure, there were times where I won huge amounts of money but at the same time, I lost more than I gained in the process of gambling.

At the end of the day, gambling is a choice that is made by the person. He/she embraces the risks that may follow in the course of their actions given the nature of the game itself. The odds and results are what define your subsequent actions as this would either make or break your whole situation.
1011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Gambling Operator Court Case on: May 20, 2023, 04:15:59 PM
A gambler made 163 bets in a day and the the casino said it acceptable. Because for some high-rolling gamblers, losing around one-third of a bankroll is considered acceptable.  This gambler is in court. He accuses the operator of failing to stop him,

ding! I stopped reading right there since I can already picture the rest of this story

"He accuses the operator of failing to stop him"

Lol wut? The operator don't have a responsibility like that. If he did that, then the player would have told him to stfu. That loser needs to grow up and learn to face the consequences of his own actions. If he somehow wins that trial (which he is not gonna), then all the casinos would go bankrupt. Every other loser like him will sue the casino to get back their fairly and squarely lost money.

Indeed, this is a case of a gambler trying his luck once again into filing a case for blaming his loss on the operator. Again, any gambling activity is NOT mandatory- it is upon the discretion of the person if he/she wants to gamble in the first place. Before you also delve into this kind of activity, there is that expected win/loss due to the nature of the activity itself.

I doubt that the case will proceed and the gambler would win this. Blaming others for "failing to stop you" upon a discretionary act is just plainly a last attempt which is obviously futile in the end. I just find it hilarious that people would go into lengths and blame others for their losses.
1012  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 1xbit exit from the forum, leason for newbies on: May 19, 2023, 11:53:49 PM
Yeah the party is truly over indeed and I really do feel bad for all those who weren't  patient  enough and I hope this also serves as a warning to we all.
Right from the very first time I steeled in here, I've always known 1xbit to be a scam platform and there is also a local casino with almost same name 1xbet and most times I even  feel and have to stay more conscious while using the casino and that is just to show you how careful I can be.
People should learn how to be patient and follow due courses rather than trying to cut corners.

This is the reason on why forum accounts who participated in joining the 1xbit campaign signature are automatically negative-tagged by majority of the trusted users given the history of this scam company.

I hope this serves as a reminder to everyone that 1xbit is absolutely a fraud casino. No matter how much they try to conceal and to advertise their services, the fact still remains that they will only scam and take an exit every time there is a profit on their side.

Users should be aware and alerted about them. If people still fall on their fraudulent scheme, then the only person to blame is yourself.
1013  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is this considered a safe practice on: May 19, 2023, 11:43:23 PM
Is it safe or dumb to use your Credit card for online gambling because of free bonus rewards on signup and initial 3 months purchase? Will you take such risks with your card for such rewards? A friend informed me that some casinos gives better reward if you have a credit card with high credit score at around 800, he mentioned how he make 200$ from Freedom Flex after using over 600$. He also mentioned other like capital one

What are the disadvantages of using a credit card on online casinos? Any? Would you dare do such to earn more money?

This depends on several factors but what must first be addressed is on the casino you added your credit card into.

Is the casino well-established and reputable enough for you to give your additional information? Relatively new gambling websites may offer large bonuses compared to other casinos but you sacrifice upon the security they offer given that they can run-away with your money.

If the gambling company is well-reputable, then spending that kind of amount to reach the bonuses may be a good idea to save money in the future. But this depends on your discipline in which it could result to a double-edged sword. It can either make or break your savings depending on how you would approach your gambling habits.
1014  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 19, 2023, 11:27:11 PM
I think the Lakers did really well or more than enough to steal one game in Denver but it's really tough to win when your opponent suddenly catches fire at the crucial moment of the game. It's just one of those moments.

The results of the two games give the impression that the Lakers players can't find their rhythm. Another problem is that the Lakers rely a lot on Davis, but he is unstable, and his performances are unpredictable every time. As an example, he scored 40 points in game one, then he had problems offensively in game two, and his field goal percentage was only 26.7%.
However, I still hope the Lakers can do better on their home court in the upcoming games.

I think we have to give Davis some credit even if he played poorly last game. Denver is just too stacked at the moment as they are really playing for the title for this year's playoffs. With Lebron aging and other players in Lakers being young and inexperienced, they have to rely on the veteran mentality of Lebron. Even if he is dominating the field, he cannot do it alone and this is the role that Davis entered.

The Denver team had executed a plan in order to at least reduce the score of Davis in the paint given on how dominant he is in the past games vs the Warriors. With his monstrous height and reach, he was guarded and focused in game two which resulted to his poor performance.
1015  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't gamble if you don't have patience on: May 19, 2023, 11:12:46 PM
I deposit my funds in a casino using a low-priority fee. I managed to triple my bankroll by playing a quick game of Blackjack with huge bets. But since my deposit is so frickin slow to confirm while I don't want to bump my fee since it will create a different transaction on my account. Due to my winning streak while still waiting for many hours, I decided to just play slowly using a 1$ bet. This 1$ bet grows to all-in because I just keep losing for an insane lose streak just because I can't withdraw my funds.

DON'T GAMBLE IF THE INSTANT WITHDRAWAL IS NOT AVAILABLE!

I wholeheartedly agree with you- gambling without patience can actually lead to devastating results which may let you gamble and gamble again.

Majority of the players here gamble with a limited budget. What you guys earn in a given game are recycled and the funds are to be used for the following bets. If instant withdrawal is not available, you are somehow forced to keep on depositing and depositing your money to satisfy your urges to at least recover your losses.

OP, unfortunately, you became an example in which people should be aware of. Without your sacrifice, then people would suffer with this kind of problem.
1016  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin retirement benefits on: May 19, 2023, 02:10:42 PM
Bitcoin is the best choice as a retirement fund because it can give us the opportunity to get high profits in the future, therefore saving Bitcoin from an early age is very good. But some say that "don't put all your investments in one basket" and you definitely know what that is, when you put all your investments in one basket the risk of you losing your investment is quite high, therefore we also need to diversify our investments and not put everything in one basket.

If we are going to base the trend of the price of BTC in its price history index, we will see that the price does increase annually. Though there are some instances where its price skyrockets and falls at the same time, the trend is that every time a fork happens, the price increases.

Rather than saving it as a retirement savings, use it as an investment where you maximize its potential by cashing-out when your investments mature. In other words, if your initial investment already profited, then at least 50% of it should be withdrawn and the remaining 50% for re-investment purposes.

Personally, I would maximize the potential of BTC by using it both as an investment and a retirement fund for HODLing purposes.
1017  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best and worse slots on: May 18, 2023, 11:58:19 PM
....
I also tried Gates of Olympus, Sugar Rush, and Sweet Bonanza Xmas, but I didn't like any of them. I don't know if I just got used to Sweet Bonanza or if there are other better slots out there. Could you please recommend a good slot with bonus buys and low cost, if possible?

Personally for now I would put Sweet Bonanza as the best slot and Gates of Olympus as the worst one as i never had any winning session with more than 10 bonus buys.

Slots are just one of those games where it actually depends on your luck. It has no skill involved and no tactics that could either increase the chances of you winning or losing at the same time. You get what you pay for- you just roll the dice and pray that the odds land on your favor. No matter how many slot games you try, the result will stay the same.

Personally, however, the worse slot games that I have encountered are the ones that are consistently being advertised on my social media platform made by locals in our country. The game and the rates are rigged to the point that many streamers take advantage of it by seemingly showing that the rates are high when in fact they are not.
1018  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Things that still make feel awkward with some online casinos on: May 18, 2023, 11:41:55 PM
I honestly observe this with many different crypto websites not even casinos. Some companies try to gain extra money through transactions. I also think its very close to robbery. Online casinos can generate huge amount of money through players/gamblers anyways. I think low fees promote usage anyways. I find it very awkward and disruptive. I think casinos should not treat their customers as cows that they will milk money away.
Only casinos with bad management and practice will do this. Casino's with good management and practice will always want to make sure that they keep things normal for their customers and not extort them with any opportunity they have. Any casino that is identified as doing this cannot be trusted and I will advice anybody gambling on these casinos should immediately withdraw and seek a better and more customer considering casino.

I agree with you on this- I think this is more of a management issue than of the high tx issues of cryptocurrencies that everyone is currently experiencing.

With high transaction fees, gambling companies can at least gain some sort of monetary advantage in this kind of scheme. Generally, bad management of casinos have a constant tx fee posted on their website. Most likely, they did not even bother to update their tx fee and just made it at a constant price (which is around $5+) for their convenience and advantage.

To avoid this kind of issue, it is highly recommended that you play on a reputable gambling website. New gambling websites that are less than a year are prone to his kind of management scheme.
1019  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there play and pay later casinos? on: May 18, 2023, 11:25:26 PM
This is an interesting concept- play and pay later casinos? I really doubt that casinos would implement this kind of idea unless they have your card details where they could charge you with payment if you failed to pay them at a certain date.

If this kind of option would be implemented, lots of gamblers would try to circumvent this option by creating multiple accounts with fake IDs  and bank information. This can also lead to nightmares of potential conflicts and problems in both sides.

Though this kind of idea may seem interesting, I really doubt that gambling companies would implement this unless you are an avid spender and this was a privileged granted to a loyal gambler.
1020  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you blame someone for your gambling losses? on: May 15, 2023, 04:19:29 PM
I agree with you. Even a reputable casino will have wins and losses but there is no chance of scamming. Anyone can gambling with any hesitation. A few days ago one of my a friend got into trouble on a scam site. After winning a big reward he requested a withdrawal but suddenly he find his account is blocked. He was very disappointed because he also had various plans to spend his gambling money but his situation left him devastated. Then I just gave him a suggestion that even if your reward amount is low you should stay on a reliable platform.

As a rule of thumb, if you are risking a relatively huge amount of money in gambling, always aim for reputable casinos in order to have some security for your payments. With hundreds of new online casinos nowadays, it is very easy to create an online casino that seemingly looks genuine but is actually a scam.

Have you asked your friend about the name of such gambling website that refused to accept his withdrawals? If yes, kindly share it in this forum for everyone's awareness so that they can avoid it at all costs.

The gambling had both win and loss, because it’s the game.As like other real games, the gambling had win and loss. The main difference for us to understand is gambling based on real money. But the rest of the game was played to entertain us.Gambling also considered to be game with fun, once you not bother about the invested money to the game. When the gambling site is scam one, they will block your account from their site. The second way to find gambling sites are scam, the site will ask to verify the kyc after your big rewards.By this two,are done to find the scam website and stay away from the scam.

Generally, gambling websites are created in order to simulate the real face-to-face casinos at the convenience of your home. With the pandemic happening, almost every business model had to shift and create an online atmosphere in order to cater to their clients.

Unfortunately, creating an online casino and offering dubious bonuses are easy to do. That is why, lots of people are getting scammed from this kind of scheme. In conclusion, if you are planning to gamble, always aim for reputable casinos for your security.
