At the risk of derailing an otherwise good topic:
  • Bitcoin Gold is not a Bitcoin fork
  • Bitcoin Gold is a Bitcoin Core fork and a new premined coin
  • Replay protection implementation still is not implemented, so do not use a wallet for mining that you have BTC on
  • Bitcoin Gold still doesn't build properly in most instances
  • Bitcoin Gold is not a Bitcoin fork
  • Bitcoin Gold is a Bitcoin Core fork and a new premined coin

The above may seem harsh, but facts are what facts are.
While many of us are going to mine it (myself included) for purely speculative reasons (mostly in hopes to turn a good profit), always be sure to protect yourself (and your prior investments) and don't get sucked in by buzzwords that say one thing and mean another. Don't just blindly trust; do due diligence.  Wink

If you have to ask "why?", you wouldn`t understand my answer.

Can I somehow modify ssh port?
[clip]
Thanks.
[clip]
You must redirect from external wan address to local IPs and Ports like 45022 or 345622 for example. Otherwise you risk attacks.

Well, not 345622. That would be an illegal number...

Port number only goes up to 65535.

ICANN allows registration of ports from 1024-49151 if  company wants to claim it for their protocol (like a particular game or application), but you're usually safe using one of these. If you have a game that suddenly doesn't work well, check if you've grabbed the port range it wants to use, but most games will try to find another port to connect on.

Ports below 1024 should be avoided as "well-known" ports that lots of people use, such as 22 being SSH and 80 being http.

yes, you're right. i add too much numbers for example

I had intended to fully respond to all the posts on this thread today; but responding to pm's took much longer than I had expected and I have a few other things I need to do today.

I have read through most of the new posts here and will respond to them tomorrow.

if its not a Bitcoin fork then what is forking from Bitcoin in a few days ?
Long story short:
You can't premine a Bitcoin fork; because, Bitcoin.

There's a bajillion reasons why it's not a Bitcoin fork. However, the most important is the fact that no Bitcoin fork can just dismiss consensus rules, do whatever they want, and then pick up wherever they feel like it; that's, literally, not how Bitcoin works (in Bitcoin, the consensus rules must be changed 1st and then any new "payments to devs" would have to be created in accordance with the new consensus accepted rules).

It's a new premined equihash coin, with "airdrops" to match Bitcoin holdings.

I could get into more specific details, but I'd rather not derail into a digression.

If you have to ask "why?", you wouldn`t understand my answer.

Sorry, dont know how to insert picture. please see it in my shared link.
seems the password command is not right. appreciate your help! Thanks.

Ok, from the result I can clearly see that you are not using the suprnova settings properly.

To use suprnova you don't need to add wallet address and set worker password as 'x' on suprnova dashboard

Assuming 'dcrminer' is your suprnova worker name and 'zbfountain' is your suprnova login name please use the below settings in your 1bash

Code:
DCR_WORKER="dcrminer"
DCR_ADDRESS="zbfountain"
DCR_POOL="stratum+tcp://dcr.suprnova.cc:3252"

Remove all the additional details you have added in 1bash for DCR.

Now replace 'DUAL_ETH_DCR' & 'DUAL_ETC_DCR' settings in 3main with your

Open 3main file, search for 'DUAL_ETH_DCR' and replace the below lines as is in the right place.

Code:
if [ $COIN == "DUAL_ETH_DCR" ]
then

HCD=/home/m1/eth/$CLAYMORE_VERSION/ethdcrminer64

ETHADDR="$ETH_ADDRESS/$ETH_WORKER"

if [ $DOT_POOL_FORMAT_or_FORWARD_SLASH_POOL_FORMAT == "DOT" ]
then
ETHADDR="$ETH_ADDRESS.$ETH_WORKER"
fi

DADDR="$DCR_ADDRESS.$DCR_WORKER"

screen -dmS miner $HCD -epool $ETH_POOL -ewal $ETHADDR -epsw x -dpool $DCR_POOL -dwal $DADDR -dpsw x -dcoin dcr -allcoins 1 -allpools 1 -dbg -1 $ETH_EXTENSION_ARGUMENTS

if [ $LOCALorREMOTE == "LOCAL" ]
then
screen -r miner
fi

BITCOIN="theGROUND"

while [ $BITCOIN == "theGROUND" ]
do
sleep 60
done
fi

Open 3main file, search for 'DUAL_ETC_DCR' and replace the below lines as is in the right place.

Code:
if [ $COIN == "DUAL_ETC_DCR" ]
then

HCD=/home/m1/eth/$CLAYMORE_VERSION/ethdcrminer64

ETCADDR="$ETC_ADDRESS/$ETC_WORKER"

if [ $DOT_POOL_FORMAT_or_FORWARD_SLASH_POOL_FORMAT == "DOT" ]
then
ETCADDR="$ETC_ADDRESS.$ETC_WORKER"
fi

DADDR="$DCR_ADDRESS.$DCR_WORKER"

screen -dmS miner $HCD -epool $ETC_POOL -ewal $ETCADDR -epsw x -dpool $DCR_POOL -dwal $DADDR -dpsw x -dcoin dcr -allcoins 1 -allpools 1 -dbg -1 $ETC_EXTENSION_ARGUMENTS

if [ $LOCALorREMOTE == "LOCAL" ]
then
screen -r miner
fi

BITCOIN="theGROUND"

while [ $BITCOIN == "theGROUND" ]
do
sleep 60
done
fi

Let me know if it worked for you.

Thank you so much.
I just changed the settings as you suggested.
dont know where is 3main file. haven't replace the code you provided. But it is working now.

Do I still need to replace the code you mentioned?

There is 2 miners available for Equihash on 19-1.3
dstm and ewbf

Code:
ZM_or_EWBF="ZM"  # choose  ZM  or  EWBF

I wanted to point out to you and to @fullzero an issue with the 19-1.3 image that I have noticed others reference here but has not been stated explicitly. The image is actually missing the 0.5.1 DSTM miner that is launched in 19-1.3 3main:

   HCD='/home/m1/zec/zm/5_1/zm_miner'

If you use 4update to get to 19-1.3 there is no issue but if you start with the image provided, the zec miner updates are missing. I noticed this in the version that I downloaded about a week ago so if the image has been updated since then, please disregard.

Hi all, I just want to know if possible can we mine ZEC using another miner? Currently I using NVOC v19.

Another thing, BTG will coming in another two days after BTC hard fork. They will using equihash algorithm which definitely provide us another coin to mine. So what you all thinking about this new coin?

Thanks Papampi, I just need to download a new image then to use ZM.  Grin

Hi!
I have 2 questions about WTM:
  • Do I nned to set COIN="ZEN" or any other initial coin or comment this line when using PAPAMPI_WTM_AUTO_SWITCH?
  • How actually can I check if PAPAMPI_WTM_AUTO_SWITCH works? I have 3 coins in array to choose between and at the moment I see HUSH is more profitable than ZEN, but no switching ... dont understand how to check

Thank you in advance!

Currency Revenue and some more info for both web and script output are already added and will be available in 19-1.4
WhatToMine has no btc payment option because it mines based on your 1bash settings, although you can set your pools in 1bash to auto exchange pools like MPH or zpool.
I my self now use MPH pools in my WTM (curently mining ZEC, ZCL, ETH), not MPH auto switch because of high 30 minute api update time of MPH

You dont need to set COIN="ZEN" in 1bash, WTM will change it when sync
just set your coins
Code:
WTM_AUTO_SWITCH_COINS="[ 'ZEC', 'HUSH, 'ZEN' ]"

Check if wtm is running or not :

Code:
ps ax | grep WTM

There is a problem that if whattomine dont give answer script dont exit clean and it is fixed for next version,
if the output has WTM_AUTO_SWITCH too then kill it by :
Code:
pkill -f WTM_AUTO_SWITCH

So.. I am still having trouble with one random card crashing on my rig. I am not sure which card though. All heat sinks are cold because of my environment and I am a complete newb so I am not sure how to tell which card keeps crashing. It was crashing every couple days, then every day and now its down to minutes.

Errors:

CUDA error in func 'search' at line 361 : unknown error.
CUDA10    Error CUDA mining: unknownerror.

Says this for multiple CUDA numbers

And in guake under GPU 5 (not sure which is GPU 5)

/home/m1/Maximus007_AUTO_TEMPERATURE_CONTROL: line 160: [: Unable: integer expression expected
/home/m1/Maximus007_AUTO_TEMPERATURE_CONTROL: line 193: [: the: integer expression expected
/home/m1/Maximus007_AUTO_TEMPERATURE_CONTROL: line 206: [: to: integer expression expected

The rig ran perfect for several months. I have the asrock BTC+ pro with 12 p106-100's

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I just need to find out which card is failing so I can send it out for repair.

Thank you in advance for any advice.

Someone has been able to extract mining information from Genoil's output.?
The only thing useful I found is the hashing power:
