It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Latest layout: Wind tunnel design helps a LOT, conveys all the heat up and away. Everything much cooler and with lower fan speeds.

Couldn't agree more.! That wind tunnel really helps. My mounting case is also designed keeping that in mind.! Side view : Here you can see blades and 2 fans at the bottom. The fans on the heat sinks are fixed to the frame using the corner brackets and the blade is fixed to the fan using the cable ties. It is pretty rock solid and firm. No vibration or noise of any kind. Close up of Side ViewView of the complete setup. Apart from the 6 X 120 mm fans, i have a Honeywell HT-900 table fan blowing from the side to keep the entire system cool.

What can I do about following problem: I have two blades running on high clock with enough(!) air cooling which menas 2x 120mm fans on the sinks and 1x 120mm fan on the back to get air circulation on the back. And this fans does cool each of the blades.
Now I´m running a stratum proxy on a RSPi which also runns fine. But from time to time the blades seem to restart and at the time of my notice they have run for about 4-10 hours on low clock speed.
What can be the problem here? What about some ideas to prevent this?

The blade restarts when it is not getting any work. One problem would be pool servers. I have faced this problem when using a less stable pool. Also friedcat confirmed that when a blade restarts, it picks low or high clock based on the voltage that it has at its disposal or something on those lines.

Expecting a blade in today and about to butcher two molex to sata adapters. What am I supposed to do with the red wires ? Just leave them plugged into their ports and only clip the black and yellow wires ?

Hi guys, i got somewhat of an emergency here. This morning i noticed the power plug on my asic miner was burned through (melted?) and the yellow wires turned into black i am assuming from the heat. i followed the instructions in the thread to wire it correctly i think and the asic miner is running fine except this. I am using silencer mk3 bronze certified 600w power supply (high reviews on amazon) if it matters. Can anyone please let me know what i am doing wrong? i have shut off the whole thing until i can find out what happened, dont want to start an electric fire and burn my whole building down Also is there a safer way to do this, i dont mind spending a bit more cash. thanks!

Use a PCI-E 8 pin or 12V ATX. You had a cheap brand of molex extender unfortunately.

Thanks guys i found the 8 pin pci-e cable and just as stated it has 3 yellow and 5 black. Have 1 last question, cant find the answer in the earlier posts. I understand they all need to be plugged in, but how do you distribute the 3 yellow into the two + holes? Do you just put 2 yellow wire into one hole, then 1 yellow wire into another? and the black ground wires, same? 3 into the - hole, and 2 into the second - hole? thanks!

I have put no less than *seven* +12V @5A (yellow lines), and the same 7x 5A lines for the ground (black). Just to be on the safe side and avoid overheating of the wires as much as my PSU allowed me. I'm only using pins 1 and 3 of the power connector, but 1/2 and 3/4 are the same. I like to have them as spaced as possible to avoid short-circuits.
