1001  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Manufacturer Trustworthiness Guide [12th Sept] on: September 16, 2014, 11:02:59 AM
You are sack shit pure and simple.

There is no one in this community, bar the people you pay to lie in these forums, who would believe anything you say.

Walk away loser it is over for you and BFL. If anything the rating you get here is overly generous.

Going to come beg to get on the dais again like in HK? That was simply you at your most desperate and that is all you are doing here now cowboy... begging for attention. You do know people laugh when they hear BFL? Right you get that right? You are the joke.
1002  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Manufacturer Trustworthiness Guide [12th Sept] on: September 16, 2014, 10:55:22 AM
What a f-ing thief you are Inaba.

Give back the millions you stole.

BFL's rating is way too high considering what you have consistently failed to deliver time and time again.

Let us be clear no one should ever buy a BFL chip, BFL miner or use your mining pool / cloud hashing services. It is time the community put an end to BFL by simply not buying your brand of bullshit ever again. How long before the next bullshit product? 2 Weeks?
1003  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: if you will build a mining farm, which hardware will you use? on: September 16, 2014, 10:33:49 AM
The best is buying proven chip and developing a board for it. You can have anything (literally) you want. Any setup, any cooling design.

There is Habanero project - huge success, based on HF chip. Mr. Teal done awesome job putting it all together.

There is bitfury chip, very stable and very easy to build miner for. There are open source projects like NF1.

Marto74 has open sourced his design for avalon3 chip.

Just google it. It is all there.

Wrong on many levels unless you are the one MAKING the stuff and selling it. As for buying from Marto vs Bitmain. That is insanity or stupidity either way you don't buy shit from people like that who have ripped off others in the past and you'd be on a SUPER LONG wait list before you saw anything he promised today vs Bitmaintech. Wrong just wrong. Mr. Teal yes that guys has it together and ships on time most of the time. Too bad he is using BFL shite no one should support BFL after the millions that they have stolen so on ethics steer clear of Avalon based chips or BFL both have destroyed so many people that you need to stop supporting those companies indirectly.
1004  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: if you will build a mining farm, which hardware will you use? on: September 16, 2014, 10:32:07 AM
Ok, so If you will build a farm, let's say in a room in your house (assuming all resources available, power, cooling...etc.), which hardware will you pick?

I wouldn't.

Buy BTC and hold.

____

Anyone else still keen on trying to compete with a small home mining op should buy:

SP3x's or Antminer 3s as cheap as you can and as soon as you can.

Whichever is cheapest and delivers sooner is always the best model for any chance of getting a return. At this stage home mining not really the right move.

Unfortunately you would need a warehouse and something in the Petahash range I suspect to make it work as an investment. Others again just buy BTC.

Nice advice, but BTC is dropping right now. Wouldn't know if it is still a good choice to buy..

+1 yes... you  have to watch and get in when low is low... no one could tell you when that is. Seems to be bumping back up again today but who knows? 300? 400? 500? Your guess good as mine.
1005  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: AMT fucks us over again on: September 16, 2014, 04:45:17 AM
You know the hilarity of it all? Is that in 1/3rd the time it took AMT to ship an order of 2 miners (just over 6 months) I had placed 5 orders with Bitmain for nearly 20 miners. And I have them all. The orders went out shortly after the orders were put in. Days...usually no more than a difficulty change away from the order time.....In most of that I have made most of my money back on nearly ALL of those miners (as some are very recent orders). It just shows how shitty AMT is as a company. Altho even calling them a company is a stretch. Maybe in the legal sense. For any newbies reading go with bitmaintech if you are going to mine at all.

+1

Biggest lesson from this thread. Only deal with companies that really have a clean record. There are some that are definitely able to deliver on time and to specification. Bitmaintech are really one of the best in that regard.
1006  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [GUIDE] Bicknellski's Biased & Opinionated Miner Sellers Trustworthiness Guide on: September 15, 2014, 05:23:39 AM
Because it's a major discussion in the S3 Thread:

Is Spondoolies-Tech using the latest version of cgminer (v4.6.0) in all their products?

We pull latest cgminer from github every time we build.
Spondoolies is the ONLY company remaining that is in sync with the mainline cgminer code and always push upstream any driver changes.
Quote above is from the primary developer of cgminer.

That says a lot for SPTech...

How would that affect say the ratings for others who do not? Thoughts?

Story remains the same. The Nightmare Lies, extortion, blackmail and slander by bbxx and curiousminer

BBXX and his faux bro are bad players in the bitcoin world. Can't be trusted and proven liars.

Bbxx made a series of posts claiming false dates regarding curiousminers order. Although these brothers knew the truth of when the order was placed bbxx lied in these posts. This again demonstrates the dishonest nature of these individuals and the danger for anyone dealing with them in the future. Of course I was able to provide proof that curiousminer’s order was made on 5th and sent for processing on the 7/2/2014.
1008  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [GUIDE] Bicknellski's Biased & Opinionated Miner Sellers Trustworthiness Guide on: September 14, 2014, 01:32:15 PM
There is a growing backlash against  a number of fabricators. It is important that is reported to everyone so I will be updating here any significant posts that call out manufacturers who are failing to support their customers. Unfortunately there seems to be elements that want to suppress or ignore these facts and give our community a false impression about many of these fabricators.

======

More complaints towards Minersource.

I totally agree. Avoid this company at all costs! Minersource has been avoiding direct emails and posts on the Facebook page regarding the pre-orders for the X1's and X3's  - The last update as of today was from 08/06/2014 which is the same rehashed useless information on when and what kind of compensation if any, we will get from BA.  They have also started deleting posts on their Facebook page that not only ask relevant questions about our orders but also criticizing them.  I have paid for my order in April and all I got was one email when I initially inquired almost two months ago - the same tired excuse that we will be shipping soon crap!  I never even got another response when I recently contacted them a few days ago and others on the Facebook page have the same zero results to our questions.  I am going to file a complaint and I have suggested others do so with the Denver, CO BBB.  For those interested, here is the direct link:

https://www.bbb.org/consumer-complaints/file-a-complaint/find-business/name/Miner+Hosting+LLC/80207/

I also requested a refund numerous times in the past and was denied.  They are NOT a professionally run business and I consider them an illegitimate operation.

Hey Gezellig4Geld,

I've given Minersource a deadline and I will be filling a complaint to the FTC and the BBB next week if they don't send a refund. Let us know if you ever got your money back.

Edit update: Marto74 and Minersource not communicating very well at all.

Marto are you behind in shipping (you said last week you would ship me Friday or last Monday) or in updating our technobit accounts to "shipped" status?
We ship as soon we have ready boards.
your order ref ?
Please quit dodging the question, do you have a list for minersource ready or not?

Others are organizing to act against KnC.

Have you ordered a KnCMiner Titan or Neptune?
Are you fed up with them and are interested in legal action and possibly a class action?

I'm trying to judge whether a class action suit would be a possible. Can you please state what you had ordered and why you would sue them?

Do you know a good lawyer or are a resident in Sweden? It would be helpful to have a contact there.

For example, I ordered a KnCMiner Titan. I am a consumer and would like to get a refund, because their products are unsafe (fire hazard, no CE marking), they have made false representations (Q2/Q3 delivery, 800Watt), and because they act in direct conflict with their customers (Batch 1 vs Batch 2).

My other thread collects information on replies from authorities and lawyers. Please contribute if you can!
1009  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: September 14, 2014, 06:24:14 AM
It was also possible for BTC to collapse.  So what?

In which case they would provide BTC refunds. Simon promised BTC refunds, when he really meant "We'll give you the smallest refund possible. If bitcoin goes down, we'll provide BTC refunds, if bitcoin goes up, we'll provide USD refunds."

I agree with you Syke however HF is now in Chapter 11.  As I understand it is a recovery operation now.  They are not attempting to save the company and the same boards that many paid $5k for are worth 350 bucks or less.

I had hoped the creditors counsel would have pushed a motion for immediate liquidation few months back but we are here now and it is what it is and from some of the vendors not fulfilling not mining ETC was/is a cluster F*** to work with.

My only request from all this now is I want all this to be finished this year so I can take it as a tax deduction.  If I happen to get a check in the mail it will go to my next round of Spondoolies.

The guy who keeps brining up windfall can keep talking to all the law students you want. The only wind going on now is the kind coming out of my ass as I ate a lot of beans today.

I and others should have filed a debt memo for recovery as soon as HF missed shipped dates. This may or may not have been able to get full BTC back as they converted some via Bitpay but a judge would have decided that. Lesson learned however what United States ASIC company is left? All have ended up trash scammer liars.

This reminds me of MARVAL telling SONY that the Spiderman that grossed 1 billion dollars worldwide lost money.

How do you sleep at night knowing you fuck people over for a living iCEBREAKER ?

You're a dumb piece of shit and a terrible businesman marto, what say you to that?

Guessing you wouldn't recommend his services then Operatr given your review of him here.

and the complaints of 0 information keep occurying will multiple accounts try to post positive reviews of Technobit. What a joke. Pretty transparent who is posting that eh Marto?

Amazingly Martin has time to post here but no time to answer his customers questions. Sad. Cry

Marto - Can you please give us an update on sending the customer list to Minersource for batch 1 customers?  I asked this same question almost 24 hours ago and it went unanswered.  Please let us know where you are at with this list because these delays are really hurting our ROI on these boards.
1011  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [GUIDE] Bicknellski's Biased & Opinionated Miner Sellers Trustworthiness Guide on: September 14, 2014, 05:46:07 AM
Still unhappy customers in Minersource / Technobit Group Buy...

@Marto: I paid over €4000 at the €-BTC rate of 07-17-2014. If I opt for a refund, will I get the equivalent of the € price in BTC at the €-BTC rate on the date of the refund, or at the date of paying (as in: the same BTC number as paid on 07-17)?

@Bobsag3, since the 07-22-2014 message I would be sent a check, no word has reached me through your broken Zen system, I had a reply by pm from Thomas my tickets and even your emails (minersource's) never came in or went out, and a fair number of checks did not reach their destinations. I asked to be updated on what is next for my case, but nothing since. What should I do next to get this moving?
Bump
We started to ship and problem solved even with hand replacement of MCU's
Your order is for EU so will be out tomorrow or in Monday.
As far all the boards are produced for the assembly service batch1 no refunds will be available for now.
second sending for minersource is out today/tomorrow too

Marto.. Please go back to page 2 as I was one of the first to request your service and paid you in full conversion (no chip exchange) for 200 chips. I am seeing people with orders WAY after mine posting pics of machines in hand. Something is not right. Now you talk of MS second shipment. I do not get it at all man. Why have you not shipped my order?

Only person fucking himself over is Marto74. As soon as everyone gets a taste of his brand of biz you might see fewer and fewer examples like above. Simply use more reputable companies and you won't have a problem with delivery, RMA etc. Just start with the companies on the Thumbs Up list and be free of the BS. Funny how a lot of these companies seem to work together or have side deals? It is boggles the mind why anyone would buy from these companies given the alternatives.

How hard would it be to actually get things delivered without excuses? Simple as avoiding those companies on the Thumbs Down list.

Problems in the past continue today... nothing much has changed.

Might as well jump in here too.

Marto, through a botched Group Buy scammed me out of 1.43BTC

If you look at the details in his trust you will see many people have lost money to this guy.

In my case, he ran a group buy then 6 months later, decided to cancel it due to avalon not delivering,
and instead of PMing everyone in the group buy he leaves a message in a 6 month old thread telling everyone if they don't send him a message to him by a certain time and date with a special signature that you were out of luck.

In that very same thread month or more earlier I asked for a refund and he did not provide it.

Then when I finally saw his little message he said I was too late and all he was willing to do was ship me chips, which he claimed to do in October of 2013. You know what Avalon Gen 1 chips were worth in Oct 2013? NOTHING!

But even then he said he shipped them, they never arrived and he tried to get ANOTHER 0.10 BTC from me to pay for special shipping.

be an informed buyer, read the threads where he does business you have about a 90% chance, in my opinion of getting screwed in some way, late shipment (usually 3 months), No shipment,  lost shipment.

This is someone you NEVER want to do business with. EVER.

Who is high on your list? The russian self taught asic designer? One of the several scammy american companies? Or the superior in every way israeli manufacturer who still needs to take preorders on way overpriced hardware?

1. Did you miss the announcement of avalons 28nm? (The 3rd chinese company to successfully make a 28nm chip)
2. Are you sure absolutely nobody in china can get electricity below $0.03/kwh? Is there a reason the farms need to be built in china?

What kind of NDA let's you spread rumors/speculation but doesn't let you disclose the source? Maybe it's because these sources don't want to be held accountable for spreading lies?

I wouldn't be betting against what Guy is putting out here. There is certainly a deepening divide in the quality and if you are required to go develop or find a

Who has that team or access to that team?

BFL? Pfft
Bitmain?
Bitfury?
KnC?
AM?
Avalon? Really you'd trust them given their last few offerings chip wise. Nope.

Who is left that is actually not struggling with current tech?

Seriously who else out there is building anything that is can be air cooled like SPTech has put out? That is some quality gear. Even Bitmaintech will attest to that fact and so will FC.

You seem to ignore the actual product that SPTech has shipped is exceptionally well engineered. Go ask the competition about it. Some of the people I have talked with WISH they had the team SPTech has.

These competition points raised by Sptech could be valid, but i think he forgot about a major factor that may undermine the whole industrials at this point: btc price..
Whatever cheap electricity or manufacturing costs you could get, profitability will be driven by btc price obviously. And with it stabilisîng or tanking even more, some rushers might get squeezed and go bankrupt.
Interesting times ahead.

Exactly. The whole economy this is based on could collapse.
1013  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [GUIDE] Bicknellski's Biased & Opinionated Miner Sellers Trustworthiness Guide on: September 13, 2014, 09:55:13 AM
Some interesting posturing by SPTech. Will the Chinese competition in 2015 get crushed? Leaving us only one superpower in miner production?

I have respect to AM and Bitmain past achievements, but they're not high on my list. I don't believe China will be able to compete in 2015

Can you elaborate as to why?
I'm under NDA with various parties, so I can't give concrete information.

In general, to win in 2015 you'll need in descending order of importance:
1) Team or access to team with years of circuit design experience in advance nodes.
2) Access to cheap electricity - sub 0.03 $/KWh or less
3) Cheap production

From what I was able to learn, the Chinese teams (including some publically unknown) has only (3) above.
Some of them are rushing to bleeding edge nodes (TSMC 16 or Samsung/GF 14) but it's not enough.

Under current BTC value, the bounty is $1.2BN until the next block incentive halve.
For sake of argument (only Smiley ), let's assume you're able to develop 0.2 $/GHs or 0.1 $/GHs (or below Smiley ) hardware.
How does the math look like ?

Just don't bother buying broken down over priced crap is the lesson for today. Especially from people that have failed to adequately deliver on time to spec consistently. Avoiding this offering might save you more coin in the longer term given the realities of the marketplace.

Avalon's math doesn't add up nor will Marto's. Look elsewhere people.

1016  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: September 12, 2014, 10:57:00 AM
Bankruptcy is one course of action, recapitalization is another.  The latter is preferable, unless you want to ensure the lawyers get everything.
Recapitalization would require people to trust HF. Nobody trusts them, thus creditors take matters into their own hands.
HF was in negotiation for recap funds with several sources.  It's in the court docs, which you could listen to if you'd like to get a clue.
Not many people in the adult world subscribe to such a childish Bad Guy Scammer caricature of HF.
You apparently believe that
1) HF owes you a fivefold windfall, even if that's not a legal cause for action nor within their financial capacity
and
2) we have a decent chance of recovering some of our windfalls/MPP/backorders after spending HF's few remaining resources on lawyers

Bro, if you believe those two things while sober, we've got to get together and party sometime.  I can't wait to hear what other crazy crap you'll say after a few shots!   Cool

To be fair, iCEBREAKER, if you want to post here you should let everyone know that your name is ralph and you used to work for Hashfast.    You got laid off as you were not adding any value to the estate and were taking its resources at a time it was severely undercapitalized taking money that could have been returned to creditors.    In fact, if everything was sold off and EVERYONE was fired when you were, the creditors likely would have recovered all their money.   The math is not that complicated.

Just be fair to the others would do not know your full history.

And the "offers" that hashfast was "so diligently" working on were with companies that never paid for the products they agreed to by when it came time to settle.    Yes, the deals are in the docs.   So is the failure to pay.    Read them all.   Not just the first act and the cole's notes.

+1

Bing bing bing bing....

And this would be the correct version of events. Thanks for playing what is the truth. You win.
1017  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: up to 800GH/s on: September 11, 2014, 04:31:23 PM
they are obligated to give full btc refunds because it was specifically stated in the ToS and also confirmed in an email to support staff.

in nearly every US state, the remedy for a violation of a contractual duty to deliver a fungible good is the market value of that good at breach, and unless the parties agree and execute otherwise, that remedy is in legal tender.

If HF_CL fails at calming down the community newly created accounts of people knowing the law better than our lawyers arrive to the rescue.

Hi cedivad!

It turns out that Clobered09 and I did know better than your crummy, impotent, and now long-gone lawyer.  Don't try to argue with me about legal stuff, because you will lose no matter how much money you waste on attorney fees.   Smiley

I'd like to thank you, gmaxwell, Phinneaus, and everyone else who loudly and publicly eschewed the opportunity to cash 105% refund checks in the lulzy, but futile, hope a judge would order HF to give you all 600% windfalls (plus court costs).

You guys really set a great example and provided some stellar advice!

Every remaining penny of those refused refund checks is now eligible to help pay for my order's unfulfilled MPP.  Isn't that super?   Grin

Aren't you too busy satisfying your fiduciary duties to the creditors to troll?

What a fricking donkey.

The hits keep rolling in on Technobit. Thumbs Down... and down and further down.

And again 5 days have gone by and NO RESPONSE from technobit...
How can we solve this issue.... Do you want me to send the miner back or is that useless???

Please respond i'm getting rather fedd up by you and your company...

Little reminder:
2 miners went for rma you send me two back after 2 months. One miner is working the other one is not working.
When i connect it to the power supply it will not start no fan spinning nothing. The other miner on the same power supply is working.

1019  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: September 11, 2014, 10:03:09 AM
Nothing is really priced anymore for the bitcoin starter, only the guy who already has hashing power and wants to add some more to what he has.

Huh ? Why would an experienced miner overpay when a newbie wouldn't ?

Cause experienced miners usually have a small hoard of bitcoin they made from mining and if they have paid for all their hardware already they'll essentially be purchasing gear for free.

I already cashed out the money I spent on bitcoin hardware. Everything I have left (minus small costs) is basically "free" money in my eyes. More or less an opinion really.

Newbie bitcoiner's most likely won't have bitcoins. I hope I explained that correctly.

how is profit "free"? profit = BTC = value

If i made +20% ROI on my previous generation of mining equipment, it doesnt mean that I am more than willing to overpay 20% on my next hardware purchase. thats just silly. I buy hardware only if my calculations indicate it stands a good chance of making a positive return (as a result I have not purchased any hardware in over a month now, despite a growing stash of BTC that I would like to be re-investing by now)

prices need to be <1BTC/TH/0.8kW without a PSU to be worthwhile purchase, +/- 10% based on the ease and stability of operation. (my SP10 and bitmain gear has almost zero downtime, unlike all the sh*t running on RPis that constantly wreck SD cards or have issues when there is a power blip)

That is a great read on the market right now. Unless you are buying in BULK  the sub 1 BTC/TH/0.8kW would be possible right? Be interesting to see what sort of volume you would need get that... shipping and PSUs included.

Delivery provided on time per terms agreed on.

Where is the problem now?

Buyer's remorse.  Wink

Guess so.

Oh well.

Fine print be a beatch. Is there any fine print?

All I can find is shipping after or possibly before September 20th.
