1041  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which of this is plagiarism ? on: May 12, 2023, 11:41:07 PM
Including all sources in text or images is fine, it can be proof that you got the information from the internet.
what's not really allowed is creating posts with AI or responding to questions with AI. it is strictly prohibited at this time. although it is not detected as plagiarism, but it is the result of AI bots. This forum is not made for bots but for humans to interact with each other.

Imagine if this forum was taken over by AI-generated replies. This will definitely remove the interaction between persons as AIs would be the one discussing among themselves about a certain topic.

As regards with plagiarism, I do recommend that if you are going to post any picture that is taken online, add the reference below for safety and security. In addition, if you are also going to use words taken from the internet, I suggest putting the text in a
Code:
code -format for easier reference and visual impact on the reader.

1042  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the fate of BTC payment now on: May 12, 2023, 11:20:22 PM
For the first time since 2022 I have officially put an end to Bitcoin payments on my business until further notice, I have gave few people some discount advantages to spread news about Bitcoin and now I am not so sure anymore, I can't even afford $5 per Bitcoin transaction, and also my customers that are surety when it comes to Bitcoin payment have all halt.

Ordinals looks like it's here to stay, I don't believe that Ordinals is like ICO because they are different. And Ordinals came in a bear market, imagine what this will do to Bitcoin in a bull market.

Is there any business owners accepting Bitcoin still? How are you doing it? Is there any way to go around this? I will appreciate, because I don't want to stop accepting Bitcoin, I have my long term plan and accepting Bitcoin as payment have helped so far.

Op the transaction fee of bitcoin has come down so your business customers can continue the payment method of bitcoin. The fee price as for now is 0.00002963. the only bad news right now the price of bitcoin. Bitcoin price right now is $26,400.
You giving discount for bitcoin payment can't spread the news of bitcoin but can only give the news of your business. With the transaction fees in bitcoin, you can't give discount on bitcoin payment but you can give a bonus. Your bitcoin acceptance business is not clear to me. The thread is looking for another thing here.

There are other ways in order to combat high transaction fees. I agree- it is heavily congested which resulted to high fees nowadays but one way in order to combat this kind of problem is by switching your payments from weekly to bi-weekly. With this, you can save at least some money in the process if you send/use BTCs regularly. In this way, you can mitigate the costs as this would impact your business.

While this may be the current state, I do think that this is only temporary- it will not last that long that TX fees are high on the market. Everyone is currently facing this world-wide problem and everyone is also thinking of solutions to at least reduce the cost.
1043  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is something big happening behind the scenes that no one is talking about? on: May 12, 2023, 11:03:56 PM
What's going on behind all these cuts and cuts ... is it something bigger? is Binance in trouble? just preparing for rainy days? or is it simply about profits?

Is anyone else feeling like something is wrong here?
There’s a threat of recession and USA is not doing good when it comes to their financial and economic policies, probably those big companies are just trying to survive and cutting their cost is one way to help they stay in operation. With regards to stake cutting the bonuses, they can’t just do this for a long time when the numbers of players are declining or the result is not on their side, crypto companies also need to balance everything. There’s a something going on that we may not know, only those developers knows what is coming.

I agree with your statement. I guess Stake has observed that they cannot maintain their operations if they continually provide bonuses before due to the recession happening. With this in mind, they cannot sustain what they have previously offered even if they wanted to keep such bonuses and other games available.

At this point, they are really trying to survive and offer their website as much as possible. The problem with this change is that people would take this as a disadvantage and assume different conclusions.

Personally if this were to happen to me, I would definitely consider looking for another gambling website that offers superior bonuses compared to Stake, though their security is still unparalleled compared to others.
1044  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another betting fraud in Brazil - part 2 on: May 12, 2023, 04:27:55 PM

It will be very difficult to fight the "cartels" involved in match fixing. Unfortunately, this is not just a Brazilian problem, it is a global problem from Asia to Europe to South America it is rampant. There may even be international rings involved in this. For example despite gambling being illegal in India, there are still reported cases of match fixing that occurs in cricket. A great solution to this is that sports budget should be increased so that players in smaller leagues would get better renumeration.

I agree every country has its own gambling lords and organized mafias to control gambling betting through game fixing, these mafias have contacts and money to lure top players and even officials to connive and fix the matches, this betting fraud in Brazil game fixing has their version in many countries, they are not yet exposed but it really is happening, many sports commissions are aware of game fixing but the mafias have control on some media for it not to leak.
Every country has its own watchdog but sometimes the watchdogs are on the payroll of these mafias.

These are the kinds of problems that the government must deal with. This is outside the scope of any normal person to overcome as these cartels are definitely powerful and dangerous. Since they control majority of these platforms, they can manipulate the outcome to their liking, thereby making gambling a business venture on their end.

Unfortunately for us normal individuals, we really cannot do anything about it but to avoid engaging into their controlled casino. The more a person fights or attempts to show restraint, the more risk you put on your own life with it.
1045  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can a beginner in the forum significantly grow? on: May 11, 2023, 11:35:06 PM
As a beginner that wants to significantly grow his knowledge about BTC in particular and cryptocurrency in general so as to be able to make meaningful contributions to the forum, which of the boards and threads am I expected to regularly visit and read about them in the forum please

If there is a certain topic that you want to understand fully, what steps must you do to achieve such purpose?

Since understanding the fundamentals of cryptocurrency can be technically challenging, there are tons of materials available across the web for your reference. In addition, I also suggest watching videos online (especially in Ted Talk) as there are tons of videos who simplify the explanation and understanding of BTC.

When you understand the basics of it, then you are now able to at least create meaningful discussions with people in this forum depending on the forum topic posted.
1046  Economy / Gambling / Re: This guy gave a whole prototype of "how live roulette scam us" on: May 10, 2023, 11:57:26 PM
I find this interesting as there a way in order to manipulate roulettes. With the technology used and the materials placed on the board, I find it very intriguing that certain factors can help manipulate the outcome in order to gain a big advantage for the casino to play.

Is there some verified information about this? I am very interested to read more as it can lead to serious manipulation that may hold the casino accountable, if proven guilty. Though this may be the case, I still find roulettes intimidating in nature due to the luck that is involved in this type of game.
1047  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul Vs Nate Diaz boxing Aug 5th on Dazn PPV on: May 10, 2023, 11:22:07 PM
That “press conference” was embarrassing. Even Nate was dissing it and left to use the bathroom during it. Probably to get high and make sitting there bearable. I think that people are getting tired of Jake Paul. I think he was exposed during his last fight and his Cinderella story has ended. He might beat Nate only because Nate probably won’t take it seriously. I’m not sure I care anymore.

Not to mention, that face-off was awkward as hell. I guess this is the way it goes when they talk about the fight being a business scheme where both of them would profit at the end of the day.

I agree with the point you raised- Jake Paul is not that relevant to the point that it would become a massive event unlike before. I guess his era of Cinderella story is over and people are somehow expecting him to just watch an average fight take place against a veteran in this field.

Will you guys watch this match and put your bets on either of the players? If yes, who would you put/bet your money on?
1048  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Questions of the day for gamblers on: May 10, 2023, 11:00:13 PM
There's no way that you can leverage your skills or luck because you'll not know that you'll be able to maximize your luck when you gamble and you'll have no idea when it shall go.

Maybe with skills, you can maximize that but particular only to those games that needs some skills. But you can't just do it with those luck based games as that's not going to change anything.

And for the games to play you should be what you're good at, we're all the same with luck based games that's why if you know something within an specific sports then that's probably how you leverage your skills there through sports betting.

This is the reason on why I really recommend playing games that have skill and luck as the certain factors in winning a particular match.

For example, slots rely purely on luck as you cannot apply the aspect of skill in it. On the other hand, if you play card games such as poker, etc. there is at least a certain amount of skill involved that can alter the match to your favour.

Of course if skill is involved, then you have no choice but to really practice and master its craft. But at the end of the day, everything boils down to one's purpose on why they want to gamble in the first place. If you are hoping to make a quick profit/loss, then slots may be the game for you.
1049  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What kind of rewards/bonuses do you prefer? on: May 08, 2023, 11:46:14 AM
Thank you very much for asking the community about the suggestions for the bonuses.

Personally, I would prefer the following bonuses to be implemented:

  • Free spins;
  • Loyalty bonuses;
  • Welcoming bonuses; and
  • Top-up bonuses

The reason on why I chose the above-mentioned bonuses is for additional traction on the gambling website. These kinds of bonuses would be able to create your loyal player-base in order to sustain and keep the players on choosing your platform. With thousands of gambling websites available, these bonuses would give them enough and sufficient reason for them to keep choosing your website among others that are currently available.
1050  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What a shame on: May 07, 2023, 11:52:08 PM
This is actually the influence of social media and on how it impacts the perspective of all people. Unfortunately, majority are lazy to check their respective resources when it comes to verifying facts and checking the truth. They blindly follow leaders as they have no will of their own. Regardless whether a certain leader speaks the truth or not, the followers commend and follow their actions without determining the veracity of such actions.

They are students, somehow they are limited to what was being told to them. We are being told to obey all the time from parents, school teachers down to the churches. It must takes more than just a discussion of what government approved and what they don't before students understand their freedom to chose.

I think the discussion should start from the kinds of money that tribes have in different part of the world. The communities just agree which is money like seashells or the  Pacific island people who agreed stone money known as “Rai” as their currency.

With this in mind, I think they will also see that anything can be a money as long as people agrees its valuable.

I do think that it is the role of students to understand and make a determination whether they should follow or not. Students are already at age where they now what is good and bad. They can decide for themselves and they can also follow others without giving much thought.
1051  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: More exchanges shutting down, Hold your Asset with You on: May 07, 2023, 11:27:37 PM
These might be for non forum users or those who aren't routed into cryptocurrency entirely because I as believe almost the reputable users here are already aware of the implications of what centralized exchange could capable of doing if your assets are being stored over there without moving them to a self custodian wallet.
It's a pity for one not to know read to the problems associated with centralized exchange even upon the recent happening.

The problem with a self custodian wallet, well at least for me personally, is its access, use, and accessibility. The use of exchanges are far more superior in terms of convenience and use of the application due to its simple nature. You can also easily convert your BTCs to your designated currency in the event that you need cash.

Though this may be the case, the question still remains if such convenience is far more essential than security. Like what OP has mentioned, more exchanges are starting to shut-down and some have been scammed over the past years.

Personally, if you only have a handful amount of BTCs to dispose with and for use, then putting them into exchanges MAY be better. But if you plan on HODLing for long-term usage, then putting them into hardware wallets is the obvious and superior choice.
1052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling or gaming sites on: May 07, 2023, 11:07:52 PM
-snip-
I'm still a stranger and have never heard of or seen the site you mentioned, friend.
What is clear is that I will never be interested and willing to try a gambling site that is not on a forum with a good reputation because it can put me at great risk.
During this time, I first encountered crypto casino sites in forums because previously I only played at street casinos and local casinos with fiat currency.
If you are curious and want to try a site that your friend told you, it's better to do some research first and get all the information, then use as little money as possible to do a trial there.

I have to agree with you on this one. Gambling sites that are not at least advertised nor mentioned in the forum is considered as a red flag for me due to its nature being risky in itself.

Imagine, gambling is already risky and if you are going to put money on an unknown gambling website, you are putting more risk on your returns and profits as a whole. That is why if you are looking for a gambling website to play, then look no further beyond this forum and the casinos that most have consistently advertised.

To answer your question OP, no- I do not have any personal experiences with the gambling sites you have mentioned. Maybe they are being promoted by third-parties around the globe for traction and advertisement but I would not trust them completely.
1053  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take Part in Gambling Lotteries ? on: May 07, 2023, 10:34:04 PM
What if, I get a chance to participate in a lottery without any investment?
If any gambling site offers, free of cost entry in the lottery, i would definitely not miss that one. Smiley

I mean, if a gambling casino offers something free in exchange for an opportunity to hit the jackpot, what is there to deny?

Participating in the lottery is somehow embedded in the culture of many. You purchase a ticket and you pay a relatively small amount of fee in exchange of potentially winning hundreds to millions worth of money that can indeed change your life. That is the dream that everyone thinks about but I do think that the chances of me winning the lottery is zero to none.

In conclusion, winning the lottery is considered one of the most hardest way of winning but in the event that you win, then it could alter your whole life.
1054  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you had a time traveling machine, then? on: May 07, 2023, 09:31:10 PM
Well, it's obvious that all of us want to go back during the time that bitcoin is priced in as centavos and, we'd buy for sure a lot of it and will just have to wait until the right time comes to sell and we'd all be millionaires or even billionaires. But, I don't want to dwell in the past anymore and I know that this is just a situation discussion but then we should be moving on and it's hard to get stuck in the past and have all of those regrets get us reminded on where are we during those great times.

I do think that if I could turn back time, the obvious answer would be to HODL BTCs as much as possible and save it for the next 10-15 years where it would make me an instant millionaire or billionaire in this current day and age.

I do agree with your statement- the past is what defines the present and the future. The price history of BTC is what defined and pivoted its trajectory towards the success it is facing. Bearing that in mind, everyone may dream of achieving such scenario.

Though this may be the case, I do think that the current price of BTC now may be much higher 10-15 years from now. I always remind myself to HODL my BTCs and save it. Who knows that maybe in the future, its price may even skyrocket further.
1055  Economy / Economics / Re: less risk or big profit? on: May 06, 2023, 11:51:57 PM
In some conversations that I have had with some rich people who are old, they most times always say that they invested in real estate and that was how they made some fortune. Young people understand that investing is key and paramount to securing a better future like these Old rich men did then, But the question now is what exactly to invest in for young people. Is it wise to follow in the steps of the old rich men who had investments in Real Estate, or do they completely now invest in cryptocurrency? The answer is sometimes traced to the one that offers the lowest risk and loss of capital.

The less riskier from Real Estate and cryptocurrency is Real Estate, but less risk,, less reward. The risk that come with the higher volatility of cryptocurrency makes the profit that can be gotten bigger. Will you go for less risk, or big profit?

In the grand scheme of things, investing in real estate does provide you a fortune especially if you aim for long-term investments. But remember that the situation of these boomers are different from the current situation we have now. Before, real-estate was one of the primary ways of investing your money due to the price of lands being relatively low in the market.

As time progresses, new innovations start to be introduced. Yearly, new products and investments are being made which can become an opportunity to the younger and new generations. The best example here is cryptocurrencies and I consider it as the new-age of investing or the "real-estate" of investing, metaphorically speaking.

The best indication is always be the price history index of BTC. Lots of people (including me) had the opportunity of earning additional income just by HODLing BTCs. Though this may sound easy as it is, the entire system still depends on your decision making.
1056  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are there boards or threads that a newbie is not supposed to post in? on: May 06, 2023, 11:24:08 PM
There are two boards I know of which is the Archival and the serious discussion board that newbies are restricted from posting on. Regardless, I don’t see any contribution that a newbie can offer that is beyond the remaining boards. Infact the beginner and help board covers almost everything for newbie, so you can post all your contributions there

Among the two (2) boards that you have mentioned, newbies are freely to comment on whatever thread they find interesting at. Just make sure that before you comment, you at least provide some insight and contribute a meaningful discussion which is relevant to the topic of the board.

Most of the newbies that I observed comment on whatever board they desire without even understanding the main topic at all. While this is not prohibited perse, but this contributes to the overall spam that degrades the quality of the threads.

My greatest advice would be that if you were to comment on a certain thread, research about the topic to avoid any potential conflicts in the future.
1057  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin doesn't give you instant 100 percent profits on: May 06, 2023, 10:50:21 PM
I just draw out this post due to some post I have been reading across here and it annoys me seeing people or newbies always asking after a platform to give them $100 daily, $50 daily and so on without them even coming to think about how it works or not.
It's because these people are looking for hyip and ponzi schemes where they can deposit their cryptocurrencies for fast gains. Probably they have seen such propagandas on social medias or friends' groups, so they look for this kind of information on the forum as well. Since they are newbies, they aren't aware about the fact such schemes are scams where they lose money. What we can do is to educate them on this matter, telling them to not invest in opportunities which aren't realistic.

On the other hand, it will never stop, so get used to be annoyed, because there will be always newbies in crypto universe, and newbies always commit mistakes, believing in false promises of profit.

Ahh, classic ponzi schemes where they offer ridiculous amount of interest rates promised to be returned in a relatively short amount of time.

The only thing that is guaranteed and absolute in a ponzi-scheme is that they will almost and always pull out their money and leave all of the investors behind once they reach a certain amount of quota on their system. Yup, you may see your money increasing per day but 99.99% of the time these ponzi-schemes are scams designed to attract investors and steal all of the money away.

People who believe that BTC gives you 100% profits are either ignorant on the system or newbies who does not have any clue on how it works in the first place.
1058  Economy / Gambling / Re: Land base slot vs Online slot RTP on: May 06, 2023, 10:07:59 PM
It's nothing new if most gamblers playing in land based casino is for fun, while most gamblers playing in online casino is for making money.

Although in online casino is better than land based casino regarding it's odds or RTP, but the house is still has higher chance to win. Due to private, active 24/7 and easier to access, many gamblers are more addicted in online casino rather than land based casino.

I agree with your statement.

According to my experience, when a person plays slots physically, they are there in the casino to experience the whole package (e.g. amenities, food, entertainment, environment, etc.) and all the complementaries being offered. When I tried doing slots in a physical casino, I enjoyed my time even if I was not able to win since the whole experience and ambience of the casino were great.

Compared to online slots, this kind of game involves you pressing and mashing your phone, hoping for a win. I remembered I watched my uncle playing online slots and he was playing for a win. He kept on borrowing money almost every week just to satisfy his thirst in winning in online slots.
1059  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto casino sports betting for gamblers at local bookmakers. on: May 06, 2023, 04:59:21 PM

For someone who has been responsible enough all throughout his life and has managed to find a job and build a family, he definitely can find his way back and be whole again if he will just avoid gambling for good. He may have been tempted for a while but soon he will look back to compare his life before and after.

Unless he lacks the motivation and doesn't care about the lives of his children anymore then that would be a different story.

Just like any kind of addiction, what they need is constant support and guidance from their family and friends so that they would avoid this kind of activity ever again. In dealing with gambling addiction, the person must exhaust all of their gambling activities into different recreational ones to channel their temptations out.

Once they have acknowledged that they are indeed suffering from addiction, the next step would be relatively easy. They must also understood their priorities especially if they have their respective families that they have to support.

Overall, recovering from gambling addiction needs the support of everyone. This is not a simple task that only one person could do- it takes a whole lot of will, determination, and patience but the reward of getting through it is worth everything.
1060  Economy / Gambling / Re: How does AI gambling sound? on: May 05, 2023, 11:55:46 PM
It has a two dimensional effect to gamblers, some think about AI as a smart way to win against the house when gambling because they presumed it offers them a unique opportunity lime the bots could offer in making them have a better experience in gambling since everything works being automated, the second aspect is the approach the casino operators give to it as a means to cheat on their system, they think it will work less beneficial for them than how it will pay them.

I definitely agree with your statement.

The approach is somehow questionable given on how the gambling platform views AI betting either as legal or illegal. Regardless, however, betting on AI can provide numerous advantage, such as collecting data from previous races, etc. If permitted by the gambling platform, the gambling, however, should not completely rely on the findings of the AI alone. He/she must decide, given all the information the person has, on which horse to bet on.

Given this approach, betting using AI can be advantageous and convenient but one should not completely rely on it. If you mix it with your intuition and data, then the chances of a person winning is higher compared to your average gambler.
