1961  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Whirlwind.money | ⚡No Fee⚡ | Ultimate Privacy | Anonymity Mining 12% APR🔥 on: July 06, 2023, 07:22:05 PM
2.Enable Monero and Ethereum deposits and withdrawals. When you enter your private key you will see your Note balance in BTC, XMR and ETH.
Using Monero should be fine since it is privacy coin by default, and it has nice volume on Bisq exchange, but I see no reason at all in using ethereum and similar shitcoins.

Enable internal 'bridging' between BTC, XMR and ETH for a fee. You will be able to deposit ETH on your Whirlwind Note, change it internally to BTC and withdraw it to your on-chain address.
Wouldn't this be categorized as centralized exchange?
We already have options or that, and you could get in (bigger) trouble with authorities for doing that.

There will be no 3rd party involved in the bridging process, we will provide the liquidity on all 3 chains and rebalance it when needed.
That can open whole new can of worms and you should expect much more complications, support questions and complains, if you decide to implement this change.
I would be careful with this, since attack vector is getting bigger also, as well as chance for more bugs is code.l
1962  Other / Archival / Re: Sinbad.io Mixer - secure, fast and easy to use on: July 06, 2023, 07:00:03 PM
It might be a bit redundant given the warning of the list of impersonating sites is already made on the opening post, but I think it's better be safe redundant than sorry, I noticed that the impersonating site also have their own tor page.
I never saw anyone cloning onion links to almost identical, and most people usually just confirm starting and ending parts of address.
However, I went ahead and entered that onion address in Tor browser and it didn't work, after trying all possible combination I always received Invalid Onionsite Address message in browser.
Scammers are probably hoping for users to switch back to fake clearnet address and send them coins.
1963  Economy / Reputation / Re: Judgment Thread For PytagoraZ by JollyGood on: July 06, 2023, 06:24:08 PM
I got a neutral tag from jollygood. Is it important? yes it is important for me. He accuses me of being an alt and accuses me of being a merit finder for signature campaign
Be happy he didn't gave you negative feedback, because it took a long time for him to stop being easy on trigger like that, and there is nothing wrong with neutral feedback.

Just to make things clear, I don't trust what you say also, there are so many liars in this forum that I am suspecting everyone can be a cheater.
1964  Other / Meta / Re: TalkImg.com - Image hosting for BitcoinTalk on: July 06, 2023, 06:13:51 PM
After two months of operations, I want to once again take advantage of all the support that the community has given to this project.
The numbers prove it, thank you very much.
Don't forget to add report for all the Bitcoin donations you received so far, you don't have to add exact addresses and names, just add total amounts.
I know you could use more funding, and this can be a good reminder for anon donators to help you when they can, every sats count.
My suggestion is to post small report updated like this every month, or at least every few months.

- Donations: Anyone wishing to support this project can make their bitcoin donations to the address: bc1qhwnncpdd8gfzqwjkk9n052wf7g9mvks3xaa7qa
1965  Other / Meta / Re: A concise 2FA/TOTP implementation (SMF patch) on: July 06, 2023, 06:07:27 PM
Don't worry, the QR code is just there as a convenience, you can ignore it, if you like, and manually copy the displayed secret into whatever application you're using to generate OTPs. (You can also hover over "Shared secret (Base32)" to see a tooltip with the other details you might need while importing it.)
Good to hear that, because I am not a big fan of QR codes at all.
Yes, they can be useful sometimes, but not as much like some people are trying to present, and there are some hidden dangerous with using them.
Recently I tried scanning QR code from one bike and it was impossible to do it, it gave me error all the time and I tried using many different programs.
On top of that some hardware wallets like safepal are using stupid closed source encryption with QR codes, and that is no go for me.
Let me just say that everything in China is full of QR codes, and they plan to use them with their CBDC slave wallets, that should be red flag for everyone, and I don't mean red PRC country flag.
1966  Other / Meta / Re: Know who ignores who on: July 06, 2023, 05:59:08 PM
I also never ignore anyone. I usually do the reading filter, just looking.
But, maybe because I don't navigate in areas of the forum where these users usually post.
Ignoring something is not a bad idea at all, it's like using adblocker on youtube or on any other website that is full of ads and other crap.

Using ignore option in bitcointalk forum will save you precious time, and it can help you avoid potential further conflicts with other members, so if you can't get along with someone better just ignore him.

I would even go step further to improve it and add super-ignore option to totally remove (from sight) some members and/or parts of the forum, but this is hard core for some people   Cool
1967  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which will be best non-KYC exchanger after Ku-coin? on: July 06, 2023, 05:47:50 PM
I want to trade pair Ripple\BTC, or LTC\BTC, and maybe also with cross leverage. Tell me, is there such an opportunity on Bisq? Or maybe on other decentralized exchanges?
No, you can't trade shitcoins like ripple on Bisq exchange, and there is Litecoin but there is no volume for that tradin pair right now (I guess you can always create your own offer).
Bisq is mostly used for trading fiat currency with Bitcoin or Moneor, and you can check all Bisq markets here:
https://bisq.markets/

For BTC-LTC maybe there are few more alternatives like BlockDX, AtomicDEX (not sure about volume), Atomic Swaps or some centralized swap exchanges like exch.cx.
1968  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: LNP2PBOT Non KYC btc lightning exchange on: July 06, 2023, 03:40:27 PM
The little bot here accessible on telegram is pretty easy and fun. It works with BTC lightning, so you'll need to have what I call a hybrid wallet (on-chain and lihtning) like breez for example. Then the bot will act as an escrow between you and a seller/buyer.
You can place an ad or spot one and make a proposal.
FIAT offers a wide range of transaction methods, including Revolut, Bizum, Wise, Paypal etc...
Having more options to exchange Bitcoin is cool, but I am a bit suspicious with telegram and I am sure they are recording everything with do including phone numbers and IP addresses.
I never used LNP2PBOT bot, and I don't like that you have to use third party app telegram for with this, and that has to be downloaded and installed  Wink
Better alternative for Lightning Network exchange in my opinion is called RoboSats, this works as webpage and it can be used with Tor onion for better privacy.
The source code for RoboSats is public, there is no account creating, there is really no installation, and it's very easy to use.
1969  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which will be best non-KYC exchanger after Ku-coin? on: July 06, 2023, 03:32:47 PM
So I need some suggestions Which can be a reliable non kyc exchanger like kucoin?
Just use Bisq decentralized exchange, and forget about other centralized exchanges that will end up like Kucoin sooner or later, they are all time ticking ''bombs''.
One issue I have with Bisq is that it can only be used for computers, not for mobile devices, so I discovered one good option called Peach Bitcoin app.
Note that Peach Bitcoin can only work in Europe and there are some daily and monthly limitations for amount of money/coins you can exchange.

In cases when you need alternatives for Bisq you can visit kycnot.me website that has really nice suggestions, and it's updated on regular basis.
1970  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Unconfirmed Balance on: July 06, 2023, 03:27:00 PM
At my zeus wallet i can bump the second transaction, wich has 147 sats.
Its not clear to me what is goin on.
Non of this two transaction i made my self.
I really don't understand who could make transactions using your wallet... but  fee used for transaction you posted used very low fee of 2.81 sat/vB.
You could wait for it to be confirmed itself or you could bump up fees  since RBF was used for this transaction, but than again, if you didn't send this transaction than you can't bump the fees., only sender can do that.
Checking Mempool website you can see estimated fees with different priority levels and I always recommend checking that out before sending any coins.
You can also use browser extension my team made a while ago with my suggestions, called BTC Mempool Fees Extension/add-on for Firefox/Chrome browser.

The most important thing is that your participation is validated and that you have completed the survey (or vice versa).  Wink
Five more days left for selecting winners for Bitbox hardware wallet, so better get ready Smiley
Do you know how many people applied and filled the survey this time?

Are you fucking kidding me? $50 for used panties? And you are telling me I still have to wash them myself before using them? That's just... wow.
You would be surprised to find out what people are spending their money on these days.

1974  Other / Meta / Re: A concise 2FA/TOTP implementation (SMF patch) on: July 04, 2023, 09:47:56 PM
To turn 2FA on, you go into your account settings and use the new section between the "Password" block and the "Secret Question" block
Well done PowerGlove!
You should receive special developer title in your profile if this gets approved.
I hope QR code will be only optional and not mandatory like on some websites, but this preview looks great.

Is there any chance of something getting messed up with code in future that could permanently disable login to bitcointalk forum?
To prevent this potential problem there must be some fallback option for that, without reducing security.
We also don't want hacker abusing this to somehow attack bitcointalk.

Besides his activity, his account also holds huge historical value in older posts, which will give an immediate boost in visibility to anyone featured in his sig. With that said, he's definitely worth the money, and if you're looking for a top performer, definitely go with his sig.
Thank you for your kind words SirJohnVonSlotty.

It was a real pleasure working with you in last few months, and I hope to see you back with some new interesting project soon.
1977  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Another crap Amazon wallet find: Material Bitcoin on: July 03, 2023, 10:42:29 PM
HW wallets have kind of fascinated me since I first learned of them, and I often check Amazon to see what new products are coming to market--for lack of a better place to browse such information; if anyone has a better idea, I'm all ears.  Anyway, I stumbled across this piece of garbage today (hopefully the image shows up, as it's my first time using talkimg.com):
This looks like Ballet wallet to me  and without checking I bet this product is coming from China (even if they are based in Spain).
Anyone can create a wallet-like product today and post it on Amazon and Ebay, but they won't have much customers.
I saw many weird hardware wallets and we are following all of them in our local board, it's a wild wild west space and I am going to add this one also Wink

What is even more weird - How come that with just ~40.000€ - they were able to build a production line (I suppose that there is one) that engraves the plates and packs them in a security bag with no Human intervention when 70% of the funding went into developing the product[1]?
Magic? Many kickstarter projects never deliver even if they have good idea, but I don't think Material Bitcoin was ever any good  Tongue

1978  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: [LIST] Wallets supporting Taproot on: July 03, 2023, 10:32:47 PM
the custody service provider BitGo announced on june 30 the integration of musig2, a protocol for multisig wallets enabled by the taproot update, for their Bitcoin hot wallets. this means that a protocol standard that has been actively developed by the theoretical side for some time is finally becoming a reality and can henceforth be used productively. customers of BitGo can thus benefit from several advantages in the future, such as better privacy and lower transaction fees.
I am not going to add any custodial wallets in my list, and in general I don't support anything BitGo is doing.
If I remember correctly there was some big hack and vulnerability discovered recently with BitGo... but I stand by saying not my keys = not my coins.

and by the way, while surfing through the internet, i came across this interesting website. maybe you could also add it to the op Grin
https://whentaproot.org/#support
This looks interesting, I bookmarked it and I will check it out and investigate more in next few days.
1979  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Whirlwind.money | ⚡No Fee⚡ | Ultimate Privacy | Anonymity Mining 12% APR🔥 on: July 03, 2023, 10:24:59 PM
This is what I mean when I say all of you signature campaign participants are (obviously) biased and replying in bad faith
Not  true, and I didn't notice anyone doing that here.
I had no affiliation with Whirlwind whatsoever and I criticized your behavior, but I also stated that whirlwind email support could act better in situations like this.
However, you can't expect from small team to reply to your every message, and by writing a bunch of posts in forum you are just digging your hole deeper, people just won't take you seriously enough.
You can continue doing what you want, but you won't help your situation at all by doing this.
1980  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] [banned mixer] - Bitcoin Mixer | BTC Tumbler | Anonymous | NO LOGS | NO JS on: July 03, 2023, 10:15:05 PM
During challenging periods such as these, where even the tiniest online stores or digital currency platforms monitor each of your transactions, it's crucial to prioritize privacy.
What does background check for incoming coins mean exactly?
Are you going to reject coins from some sources and return them to sender or not?
Trusting private investors and worldwide centralized exchanges is not good, and based on your website you are doing that and working with them.

I don't believe in complete anonymity with Bitcoin, and I wouldn't pay extra high fees using new websites that promises to provide service like this.
After performing some testing I could say more, but I don't see anything special that stands out from all other Bitcoin mixers available now.
