2481  Local / Pilipinas / Re: $2.5B in stolen BTC from Bitfinex hack awakens on: February 14, 2022, 05:32:21 PM
~snip~
I think this website explained it Aljazeera/Bloomberg

It's Simple: Fun and Fair. on: February 14, 2022, 04:55:13 PM
When the community do really make out some suggestions speaking off marketing then its up to a company whether they would really be doing it directly or wouldnt really be putting much more interest in regards to this
action but we know that this community does have the experience on how those popular sites at the moment which they should really be listening out on whats been recommended because we are much aware on things.
Listening on suggestions must be the priority and just like what i said earlier that their site isnt that bad either which you could actually see the potential behind.
This is an important point because indeed when they ask about something that is aimed at the progress of the site of course they need very good advice there and this may also apply to signatures. They will definitely consider this because it is indeed a pretty good suggestion. Moreover, if we look at some of the leading sites here their promotions are also using it.
As for them following in the footsteps of others or not, I agree with what you say it depends on them because indeed they will definitely consider all aspects that arise including the income given to them.
As a company then marketing is a must and trying out to cope up everything on what others been suggesting because they do know on whats good or bad or something like that.
Promotions is common or lets just say that it is already standard thats why they shouldnt really taking it out some consideration on having one.
Just stick into the plans and apply some several things which could really be helpful.
It's true they have their own planning and marketing and of course things like this are planned long before they make a project. Therefore, just doing this advice is also quite important, what they do, is not necessarily good for them, and indeed when they want to add this is not planned beforehand and only becomes their promotion plan I think why not do it as long as it is profitable for the site them I think this is still good enough for them

If you guys would observe the ongoing signature campaigns in the forum, most of them are gambling websites (with the exception of the almighty ChipMixer). I think from that fact alone, it speaks and implies the effect of having a continuous signature campaign running in the forum. Remember that the traffic also comes from visitors in the forum who do not have any account- so seeing signatures and custom avatars do help in promoting and advertising such project.

In the case of SandboxCasino, as they are a relatively new gambling website, they would of course exert all of the possible remedies in order to maximize exposure in the forum.
2483  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Signature campaign earnings and monthly income. on: February 14, 2022, 04:48:42 PM
-Will you quit your job if in a month, you earn more from signature campaign than you do get from working 8am - 4pm?

-Is it okay to hinge your life on the earnings you get weekly from your signature campaigns?

-Has the existence of signature campaigns on this forum eliminated the need to work offline for other people?

For the first question, the beauty behind signature campaigns that it is flexible enough for you to do them without compromising much of your time. For example, if you are required to do 25 posts/week, you can divide and allocate these posts (e.g. you can do 4-5 posts/day).

For the second question, it has not. Again, the beauty of these signature campaigns is that it is relatively easy compared to most works. You can freely finish and create quality posts as long as you meet the requirements. That is why, most people viewed signature campaigns as an "alternative way" of earning money due to its simplicity and convenience.
2484  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Giving Bitcoin to Employees on: February 14, 2022, 04:43:11 PM
You have to check with your current laws if it is legal to pay your employees with BTC. As far as I remember, there are countries in which their law expressly provides that their payments should only be made with legal tender. Assuming that your country does not support BTC or view it as legal tender, you might face potential issues/consequences in the event that the employees sue you.

Personally, I would prefer this kind of setup. As someone who is an advocate of using BTC into our transactions, this would greatly improve and showcase the use of BTCs to my fellow colleagues as well.
2485  Economy / Gambling / Re: Vikingbet.io launched this week. on: February 14, 2022, 04:39:15 PM
Hello All,

We have a policy in our company to collect KYC documents before any withdrawals, small or big.

And yes, we are talking with someone from this forum to help us.

Regards

Vikingbet

This is one of those policies that could either make or break your gambling website. What are the reasons on why you decided to adopt a KYC policy in your withdrawals? Is this being regulated by the country you are setting up? To be honest, lots of potential customers are lost with this implementation alone; I do hope that you at least create a compromise where customers would be able to recover or at least receive a compensation for this.

Though every customer has the free will to decide which gambling website to pursue, with tons of online gambling websites also available in the internet, you are severely limiting your customers; thus reducing your potential profit.
2486  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not a safe haven for criminals on: February 14, 2022, 03:12:30 PM
It is how we use bitcoin. If we have a large amount of bitcoin, we need to know how to spend our bitcoin and not spend a large amount to make a transaction. That can get attention from the local banks, investigators or some regulators to check your account.

As long as we can use bitcoin as it should be, we can stay safe and won't attract their attention. But if there are people who use bitcoin in large quantities, surely they have considered what they should do.

I think this is considered one of the collateral effects of transacting into the blockchain- absolute anonymity especially if you use mixers along the way. Though there have been cases where criminals where able to purchase contraband items under the dark web, it is still without a doubt financial freedom on our end.

Similarly to fiat, anyone can purchase guns or any contraband stuff using it. In fact, fiat is the main currency where every country uses, so stating that transacting BTC is associated with criminal activities is just a speck of its total potential in the market.
2487  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Is A Better Option Than Fiat Money? on: February 13, 2022, 11:58:17 PM
bitcoin has many advantages

fiat has many advantages

That's why I don't see any reason to make comparisons.

for example:

fiat is recognized by governments which allows it to be used in countries, everything you buy uses fiat, people receive a salary using fiat, but there are maximum values for walking on the street with fiat, something that does not happen with bitcoin where the person can be their own bank

Many seemed to compare these two since both can be associated and used as payment for services. There is this comparison which is also similar to gold, where people would debate on which is better. The difference is, BTC is relatively easier to earn compared to owning gold.
Personally, fiat will always be the better option compared to BTC. Like what you have mentioned, the recognition and utilization of BTC is yet to be globally accepted, given that most countries still prohibit the transaction of such due to the risks involved on their part (e.g. anonymity on transactions, etc.).

Since fiat can easily be regulated and controlled by the government institutions, BTC on the other hand, cannot be regulated without losing its function and essence.
2488  Economy / Gambling / Re: [Warning] luckyfish.io is CLOSING on: February 13, 2022, 11:52:35 PM
I just checked their website http://luckyfish.io/ and I saw the statement that they are going to stop deposits after 30th November. It doesn't mean they necessarily closing the business permanently though. Maybe they are going through some kind of maintenance. Why are they closing? Do you have any further information about their issues? Maybe it is a legal problem which they don't want to disclose.
Yes it is noticed that it is a website and there are many complaints against this website
There are so many types it's hard to say.  From which payment is not given.  And I think these will be fixed very soon.  I think it will pay off very soon.  From here everyone will get their payment.  That's what I think.

Normally, these gambling websites will not disclose the reason behind their closing. The problem is, there is this fear associated when it comes to claiming payments since there are lots of gamblers who have big deposits on their accounts. Though advance notice was given by the company, there is certainly that risk of losing all of your resources from this transition.

To all gamblers who still have deposits under their accounts in luckyfish, it is superbly advisable that you should move your funds ASAP. Please do not wait until the last day before you move your money- you might encounter issues and problems regarding with your payments.
2489  Other / Meta / Re: Satoshi Status What Is Your Thought? on: February 13, 2022, 06:43:18 PM
Satoshi Nakamoto is a person who has succeeded in disrupting the global transaction system and making it more secure and efficient through cryptocurrency.

Having the Satoshi Nakamotor statue made by the local government is a form of respect for Satoshi and I think this is positive news for the crypto community.
Indeed its a person but being a single entity isnt sure yet. Some speculation is that Satoshi is a group but of course its still a mystery.

Yes we all are indebted with Satoshi introducing the peer to peer blockchain idea. Theres no problem building somethimg like this, as it shows that they value what he/they did on crypto community.

The idea behind the statue being an anonymous person is genius as no one really knows the identity/ies of Satoshi. Another thing, the statue also depicts the anonymity of transactions, in which BTC adheres and advocates. While its widespread recognition among certain countries is questionable, its effects are definitely useful as it totally changed on how people view their transactions.

While I do not wish to know the real identity/ies behind the pseudonym of "Satoshi", knowing his real face could probably make thank him for creating this revolutionary cryptocurrency and movement.
2490  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Crypto online sabong? on: February 13, 2022, 06:35:13 PM

Haha mukhang malupit magtago iyong link nyan sa GCASH application a. Cheesy

- Open GCASH
- View All GCASH Services
- GLIFE
- SEARCH "Pitmasters Live"

Dati nandoon agad e.

This is very informative! Last time na nakapag try ako ng crypto-online sabong, nandoon ako sa Facebook tapos directly nababawasan yung resources ko sa GCash pero mukhang mas convenient itong nilagay mo.

To be honest, mas maganda kung gumastos na lang tayo ng cash sa online sabong. I see cryptocurrencies as something that is too valuable para lang i-bet ko siya dito.
2491  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake Wagered $1.3 million in super bowl bet using bitcoin on: February 13, 2022, 06:22:41 PM
This is a good strategy to push crypto gambling to mainstream channels. Thanks to a famous celebrity betting with bitcoin publicly, many popular sites had to promote crypto gambling and Stake even if indirectly.

I don't know where the original idea of Drake sharing his bet on social media came from, but it must be said it was a smart one and the results are evident for anyone who check it on google.

Imagine, these celebrities have the power to bet such amounts of money as if they were buying candy from a store.

Anyway, this is definitely a good exposure for cryptocurrencies as a whole. Since celebrities are sometimes viewed as 'idols' by some, this creates positive feedback from the public if they see their respective idols utilizing cryptocurrencies in different platforms (e.g. gambling, investing, etc.). I just really hope that other celebrities would also push this kind of initiative by using cryptocurrencies in their transactions (though this may be ironic).
2492  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: TIME TO LOOK FOR A NEW MERIT SOURCE! on: February 13, 2022, 04:00:23 PM
This really calls for a new merit source para mas madame din siguro mag cocontribute and gagawa ng useful threads dito.

Kahit sino basta qualified, susuportahan natin since tayo din makikinabang dito!
2493  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My Advices On How to Handle Failures on: February 13, 2022, 01:13:42 PM
When it comes to failures related to the forum specifically, I agree. This is a forum, and human communication is important here. In my history of being on the forum, there were failures when there was a desire to quit everything. But only thanks to some people on the forum who constantly supported me, did I realize the beauty of this place. I am immensely grateful for this.
A note of yours is also essential: once you've received an error, you need to understand what to do so that it won't happen again. This applies to all life in general. Falling, we must be able to rise and become stronger.

There are two (2) approaches to failure: either you quit or you continue and learn from your mistake.

While this is easier said than done, most people have chosen to quit especially if they are unexperienced in this kind of field. Unfortunately, quitting is somehow the easier option based on them. But if you truly understand the kind of investment you entered into, no matter how many times you fail, you will strive to at least recover your losses. This is a normal occurrence in the cryptocurrency sphere especially that we deal with volatile investments.
2494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 13, 2022, 06:43:54 AM
I do not know where to start, but the game between the Warriors vs Lakers was something that is a must watch! We got to see a glimpse of the past especially in the last quarter where Lakers was able get their first lead of the game. Fortunately, Westbrook showed on why he was a previous MVP and LBJ was still the same dominant player in the league.

Fortunately, Klay exploded in the last quarter where he was able to drill 16 points on that quarter alone. Kuminga will be the next franchise player of the Warriors especially he played exceptionally well. To be honest, this was a perfect game where both teams showed their strengths.
2495  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rapper wins 1,3M$ on: February 12, 2022, 05:58:40 PM
One of the most famous rappers posts pictures showing his three bets worth 1.5 million dollars, all of which were correct, and he scored a huge win of 1.3 million dollars.
I think he crashed the gambling site STAKE. If you really had a lot of money, would you risk placing a $500,000 bet?

https://cryptoukraina.com/2022/02/10/drake-bets-over-1-5-million-in-bitcoin-on-super-bowl/
Ij

Hmm, this actually depends on how rich I would be. If we are talking about Jeff Bezos level of richness, then I would not mind betting $500,000 three times in a single night. But, if I were rich but not as rich as Bezos, then I would never risk that much amount of money to begin with. Even if $500,000 does not mean a lot to these people, it says a lot on their expenditures and financial planning.

As someone also who had negative experiences with gambling, I doubt that I would also win if I risk even a small amount of money. I just really think that there are people who are born unlucky- and that is me!
2496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Is A Better Option Than Fiat Money? on: February 12, 2022, 04:52:43 PM
Bitcoin is always a better option because to be honest there's no rewards when it comes holding fiats and even you make investment you cannot get good return from it., unlike bitcoin wherein despite of being so volatile you can assure that at the end of the day you can make massive profits in it especially if you hold it for long term as it keeps improving and getting matured because of adoption..

I somehow disagree with your statement. While BTC may be considered as a valuable instrument as a means of transacting from one person to another without any third-party intervention, there are certain instances where fiat may be considered more convenient. For example, BTC is considered both as an asset and as an instrument of exchange but it requires a certain wallet that can only be accessed with the power of the internet. While in fiat, there is no need for any such technicality as you can purchase anything as long as you have it.
2497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CHESS] World Championship 2021: Carlsen Vs. Nepomniachtchi on: February 12, 2022, 02:01:35 PM

Someone who's really fond of Chess professional scene is the ideal one to make that general thread for everyone to keep the discussion going. Whether it's the World Championship, there will be a continuous discussion about it. I've started to play Chess again online and that's why that general thread would be helpful for me to dive in to see those grandmasters and professionals that have been in the competition. I have a source to look out time after time but I think it's still good to have a conversation from those who know more.

Not only for Chess for every sports there must a general thread where every event about that sports is discussed. For instance, there is general thread about cricket T20 format. Now everything related to T20 whether its World Cup or some  other tournament it's discussed there.
This Chess match between Carlsen and Nepomniachtchi was played back 2 months ago. Still we have an active thread about that match.

I do agree with everything you guys mentioned. With the increasing popularity of Chess compared before, it is starting to evolve from a niche sports to something that is widely recognized. I think this is due to the fact that after the release of Queen's Gambit on Netflix, it sparked the curiosity of many to actually try chess for the first time. While not everyone can be good at chess, it certainly is enjoyable especially when you beat your opponent.

But to be honest, I do think that creating a separate board for Chess would be beneficial in the long-run.
2498  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin has become a lifeline for sex workers on: February 12, 2022, 09:43:52 AM
I think this is one of the consequences of transacting using cryptocurrencies. It provided an alternative for sex workers to receive funds without being tracked and regulated. Since banks have been closing their accounts due to such practice, these workers are compelled to look for an alternative; in which BTC was the perfect platform for them.

To be honest, this is not that surprising considering that lots of altcoins have been focused on creating porn/sex coins on the market. If you were to visit the ANN threads under the altcoin section, you would find like at least 1-3 threads containing new porn altcoins specifically catering to this kind of market.
2499  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Q] How does this scam work? on: February 12, 2022, 08:59:51 AM
It could be any method, tbh. They could end up asking for some collateral, they could ask for special authorization access to your admin panel, they could end up giving you a fake loan requiring you to create an account on a scam exchange then asking for a "withdrawal fee" to access the "loan", etc.

This pretty much sums up the entire thing- it could potentially be anything under the sun that will involve the user signing up to a website and provide any details that would compromise your security/identity.

Anything that offers loans without even explaining what the nature of their financial structure should definitely be considered as a red flag. If you are truly curious, then ask for their details and their loan structure on how such would work. Anything that will involve you in providing credit card details, etc. should be a sign that you must avoid.

Have you tried contacting their customer support in the website? As far as I know also, they have an ongoing signature campaign in the forum so they have an active player-base and support throughout. Normally, there are concerns that have to be addressed but you also have to contact first their support before making any threads about it.

Assuming that you already messaged them and they seemed to ignore it, you can open a scam accusation under the forum by providing sufficient proof of your transaction. I wish you good luck and continue updating this thread for more information and help.
