I just started decred mining on at the same time as Ethereum on my 1070 and I get 25-26MH/s for Ethereum which is around normal for base clocked but for decred I get 250MH/s which according to other people online with 1070s is 1/10th of what I should be getting. How can I fix this for decred? I'm mining decred on the Supernova pool.

USE A HIGH "-dcri" VALUE--

Start with a value of "-dcri 75" and adjust.  It will at least double your secondary coin hashrate, with little effect on your ETH hashrate.   CUDA cards are wired that way.

I just answered this same question a page or so  back.       --scryptr

New version with Vega support is close, currently I see 35-36 MH/s ETH at stock clocks and huge speed for second coins. But it's too hot even at 1.0v for core and 0.9v for memory.

Is there a secondary coin that Vega is best at?  I might start dual mining with your next release.  Up until now I've only been mining ETH.

Hey Claymore, have you lowered core clock massively ?  Should be as or more efficient than an 580, it is possible.

have question..

I have a 2*  r9 290x GPU rig on a old Windows AM2 4GB of RAM rig mining eth

I have a weird behavior which starter few days ago....

1st GPU mines at full speed but the second takes longer to load DAG and mines only at 3 MH/s

and if I mine with only 1 GPU it goes full speed for some time and then it goes down to 8MH/s....

anyone seen a similar behavior and what can cause that ?

Thx in advance

I'm not a noob..Just got my acc. hacked and stolen here's the proof:

Not yet, also I did not change anything in bios, but I'm sure it's possible to make it much more efficient with bios/voltage/clocks changes.

BTW, at "-dcri 500" I get 4600MH/s DCR (at stock clocks) after some Vega-related improvements in assembler code (i.e. these improvements are not available for Polaris cards), now I'm working on SIA and PASC...
At "-dcri 100" I see 35MH/s ETH and 3500MH/s DCR.
If I set 1050MHz for memory (default is 945MHz), I get 40MH/s ETH.

Please read Readme and FAQ in the first post of this thread before asking any questions, probably the answer is already there.

Hello Claymore,

First thanks for the great work!

I'm coming to you in order to ask for some help since one of my miners is crashing and I'm not understanding the reason why since it's quite random. Everything runs smoothly with the following command

Quote
export GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE=100
export GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1
export GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100
export GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT=100
./ethdcrminer64 -epool eth-eu1.nanopool.org:9999 -ewal 0xc9525040bc3f5E0B********/rig04 -epsw x-mode 1 -tstop 85 -tt -50 -fanmin 60 -fanmax 90 -r 1

... but then, out of nothing, one GPU starts to hash 0 and disconnects. The miner then attempts to reboot showing some kind of memory leak (or at least I'm supposing it's...).

Quote
AMD Cards available: 5
GPU #0: Ellesmere, 4068 MB available, 14 compute units
GPU #0 recognized as Radeon RX 480/580
GPU #1: Ellesmere, 4068 MB available, 14 compute units
GPU #1 recognized as Radeon RX 480/580
GPU #2: Ellesmere, 4068 MB available, 14 compute units
GPU #2 recognized as Radeon RX 480/580
GPU #3: Ellesmere, 1932 MB available, 14 compute units
GPU #3 recognized as Radeon RX 480/580

GPU #4: Ellesmere, 4068 MB available, 14 compute units
GPU #4 recognized as Radeon RX 480/580

Any reason why GPU #3 has suddently stopped hashing? Noticed that's not releasing the memory.

Ubuntu 16.04 | Drivers 17.10

PS: If anyone knows what's happening please let me know.

Cheers.

Questioning the person that providing the tools for you to participate in mining here - on the viability of his information or knowledge???   Huh Huh Huh  and then requesting him to prove it???     Shocked Shocked Shocked

(alternative method)....

Claymore, Thanks for all the tiresome work, sure hope the information that you generously shared with us on AMD driver updates comes to fruition soon!

I never said anything was free ---  regardless of free or not...  that has nothing to do with calling someone out or stating his information is just a rumor unless he proves it is just plain ignorance...

now I could see if a newbie or  someone like you who just signed up here the last month came on here and posted a statement like about having personal information from AMD updates, people would inquire and ask for proof... and rightly so....

but you're getting the info basically from the "horses mouth" or at least as close as we are privy to getting it from the "horses mouth" and is in no way inclined to even share it with anyone  --- and why would one share it if they end up being accused of making rumors ....  seems counterproductive and just ignorant.....  a little etiquette goes a long way sometimes!

Hey guys.  I'm new to this and was hoping to get some help.
I am using ethOS mining ETH with claymore and nanopool.

I'm trying to change the payout to nanopool but its asking for the email password.
I'm not sure how to put the email on either the local.conf or claymore stub file so I can finally change the payout.
Please can someone show me what to do?  Thanks in advance.

Anyone pls?  Thanks.
