Is 5.2d available for Linux as well? I'll have to use zombie mode for my 4GB cards as well to be able to mine ETChash. Is it possible yet?

I am really puzzled by this: On SMOS and HiveOS half of my 8 gb R9 390 hawaii cards are not woking. The same is with lolminer. BUT Claymore works well with 30 Mh/s (moded voltage but not vram timings). May be this is related to the kernel of linux - I know that after Ubuntu 16.04 and kernel 4.10 hawaii is not always working well. My current kernels are - 5.021 amd opencl 18.20 or 19.20. I can't find these os with older kernels.

I am using Windows 8.1, AMD 16.9.2. The R9 390 can work now, all 6 GPU are recognized.

I benchmark it to DAG 378. It can work. But if I use 379, it will show
GPU1: AMD driver 16.9.2
GPU2: AMD driver 16.9.2
GPU3: AMD driver 16.9.2

hawaii cards are recognized as 8GB, it cannot allocate around 4GB memory.

Is that because of the old AMD driver?

Either way, because of driver issues (no matter the version), on Windows, your hash will always be way below 30, may be around 18. That's why I switched to linux OS. With Claymore everything is fine, they hash with 30 Mh without mem timings, but with all other miners, including phoenix, for some reason on half of my 390's (they are all 8Gb),  it can't generate the dag. May be with older kernels and drivers it will work, but I can't test it now.

What are the cards in the system?
Assume you are mining ETC?

Hi everyone

I am having issue with 5.2d

When I turn Phoenix Miner on, it says "Press any key to continue".

Once I press any key with my keyboard, the miner closes

Any idea?

Think is some error in config or bat file..

Any idea what?

Would you mind sharing your config and bat file infos? (delete you wallet number and name if you want)

Same version 5.2C and 5.2.D, cause concern with my RX580 8GB cards, I lose MH/S even with daglimit XXXX

I reverted to 5.1C is no longer a problem.
Can you tell us the driver version and what are you mining (ETH or ETC)? We can't detect any loss of hashrate on 8GB cards in our internal testing.

- Driver AMD 19.5.2
- Mining ETH on ethermine.org
- Cards rx580 nitro+ and rx580 nitro+ SE - vram 8Go

Code:
-amd

-hstats 1
-cclock 1250
-mclock 2250
-cvddc 890
-mvddc 890
-log 0
-tstop 85
-tstart 55

-cdm 0
-fcm 2
-gpus 1
-clKernel 1
-gser 5
-altinit
-rvram -1
-wdog 0
-rmode 0

What do you advice me ?

Try my config !

I should copy and paste this on my miner note pad? (bat file)

Right under "pause"?

So I tried to use the new PhoenixMiner (5.2d) on HiveOS and included the -rxboost command and it's saying, "unable to set straps You have to run PhoenixMiner as administrator to set straps."

I'm embarrassed to ask this... but how do we run the software as administrator?
I stopped the miner, then entered "su" then ran the "miner start" command but it's still saying that I need to run as administrator.

Or maybe this is a PhoenixMiner (Linux) bug?

Thanks!

I know, new card and driver but I got many invalid shares in connection with Nicehash on my new RX 6800.
At the moment no OC and anyone else optimizings active. Seems to be a problem with the many new DAG generation within the mining process.

add -config config.txt:

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

PhoenixMiner.exe -pool eth-us-east1.nanopool.org:9999 -wal WALLETNUMBER.RIGNAME -pass x -config config.txt
pause

and move following part to config.txt:

Code:
-amd
-acm
-mode 1
-hstats 1
-cclock 1250
-mclock 2250
-cvddc 890
-mvddc 890
-log 0
-tstop 85
-tstart 55
-tt 65
#-fanmin 45
-fanmin 35,40,35,35,35,35,35
-fanmax 100
-cdm 0
-fcm 2
-gpus 1,2,3,4,5,6,7
-clKernel 1
-gser 5
-altinit
-rvram -1
-wdog 0
-rmode 0

You can also move -wallet -pass and -pool options to config.txt

Edit: You should still customize this config for your GPUs (number and model)

I would first update driver to a version that supports the 6000 series. 20.11 seems to be old isnt it?

i would like share this problem. it is driver and poenix version dont match. i was using 5.1c with 20.4.2 with no problems. then 5.2d was good but after couple days i god invalid shares. i updated to 20.11.1 now it is good again.
5.1c wotks great with 20.4.2
and 5.2d works great with 20.11.1

I found the solution for my 390's under smos and hiveos: -clKernel 0 -clNew 0. Now all cards are working with 30+ Mh/s!!!

Will Phoenix 5.2 work on ETC when they reach block 11700000 and reduce the dag size ?

Also interesting

same here

179MH become 167MH
try set -daglim 4076, i have 474/574 cards, PM 5.2d, win10 1703, drivers 19.6.2, if -daglim 1 (auto, 4023) hashrate about 167MH/s, if set -daglim 4031-4076 hashrate is normal 180Mh, as before

yeah. not really sure what's up, but all my 4gb polarises (except last devices at 10+) now hashing as they were

so if it wasn't clear, phoenix 5.2d is able to allocate full dag(376) now on windows on 4GB. from what I see it's likely be good for the next epoch as well.
4058MB is the actual allocated size in hwinfo.

Hello, they look good, what overclock do you have on those rx570s, I couldn't get more than 30mh from them
the range depends on the gpus, sapphire are the best for amd.
I have all my gpus with individual ODNT profiles(and/or PPT for vegas) and also custom timings with amdmemtweak. for best core2mem you need to clock core at least 1166 and mem over 2066. because I run 12gpu rigs...remotely.. it's very hard to squeeze out all it may give, need to sacrifice some for the sake of stability. but these GPUs are perfectly capable of doing over 32 with rare exceptions (my average across 100+ was about 31.3 or so. also you can go back and see some numbers in the screens I posted. ohh... and better not run your polarises on anything above 880mv. at or just below 850 is the best

I made some tests:
Phoenix 5.2d consumes 3w per card as 5.1c out of the wall at same hashrate. software reported it´s also 3-4 watts.
TeamRedMiner needs 3 watts less out of the wall (software reported 5w) but still has lower hashrate....so we get the worst out of these 2 szenarios Sad

It's problem in your system. For me Windows 10 x64 Pro 1909. No such problems.

I know, new card and driver but I got many invalid shares in connection with Nicehash on my new RX 6800.
At the moment no OC and anyone else optimizings active. Seems to be a problem with the many new DAG generation within the mining process.
