1421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is heartbreaking on: May 20, 2021, 08:54:07 AM
Why is it heartbreaking?
People can create as many coins as they want, the question is whether they can find enough people to make such a project a sustainable success. Over the years, there have been hundreds if not thousands of different meme coins or tokens, and in principle only two have prevailed: Doge and Shiba Inu. All the others have disappeared from the scene. The same will happen with these coins. So nothing you should waste your time with.

1422  Economy / Gambling / Re: Positive Expected Value Bet Alerts - Get an edge on the crypto sportsbooks on: May 20, 2021, 08:49:34 AM
Interesting site. Since I am registered with all betting providers anyway, I will follow the bets for a while and look if the alerts work.

But I still have a question: I myself have tried to develop a similar service in the past, but only for private use. Unfortunately none of the sports sites offered an API. Do you have access to an API or do you just scrape the data from the respective site?
1423  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 20, 2021, 08:45:04 AM
Okay. So there is a new coach for Werder Bremen, Thomas Schaaf. For the last straw. At least one game but maybe three games will decided if Bremen will stay in the upper house or if they will relegate.

A very tough work is waiting for him right now. If he manages to motivate the players and Bremen gets a win against Gladbach, he will do a great job right from the start. But of course, he won't be guilty if the team still relegate from the Bundesliga.

The club's decision to change the coach comes too late. The club is playing for its existence. Bremen has racked up debts of over 50 million euros in the last two years. The equity capital of 10 million is shrinking like ice in the sun. If Bremen were to be relegated, they probably wouldn't get a license in the second league. The only hope is a 30 million fan bond at an interest rate of 7%. In principle, however, the interest rate means that it is unlikely that the bond can be repaid.

1425  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / Re: [Diskussion] - [WAVES]. Ultimative Crypto-Token Blockchain Plattform. on: May 19, 2021, 09:47:28 AM

1426  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling becomes popular on: May 18, 2021, 10:52:28 AM
Lot of gambling sites appeared, even casinos opened their own online gambling platforms after knowing the importance of having online customers ...

One should not be deceived there. Behind many casino sites is one and the same operator. Thus, the impression that more and more offline/land-based casinos offer an online variant is deceptive.
1427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 18, 2021, 10:50:17 AM
The pandemic and financial crisis in football clubs will help Dortmund to have Erling Haaland one or two more seasons. I think Dortmund will let him go in the next summer season. It will help them to avoid risk if Haaland rejects to sign a new contract when his current contract has only 2 seasons left.

One more season in Dortmund might help Haaland grows up more as a key striker. It will help Dortmund to have better deal on the transfer deal. One more year can help nations and football clubs recover financially. It is a win win situation for all.

Yes, winning the cup and qualifying for the Champions League will probably mean they can keep Haaland for at least another year. In addition, no top club will be able or willing to pay 100+ million for Haaland at the moment. However, it looks different with Sancho. I think he will leave Dortmund for England this year. Since his performance this season was not as good as last season, his market value has also dropped. Therefore, Dortmund could sell him at offers of 70-80 Mio +.
1428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: May 17, 2021, 03:10:40 PM
There is a chance that all 3 of them make it. Leicester beats or even gets a draw against Chelsea to qualify, Liverpool win both their matches and put Chelsea on 5th spot. However, Chelsea also has to play in the Champions league final. Where, if they win, they will be automatically qualified into the next years Champions League.

Isn't it the case that Liverpool also qualifies for the CL as fifth, since CL finalists ManCity and Chelsea are already qualified for the CL via the league, so another team from England will automatically be qualified?
1429  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Oh, market manipulation is finally bad now? on: May 17, 2021, 03:07:02 PM
How come almost on-one didn't bat an eye when Elon was pumping BTC by tweeting about it? In fact people were encouraging him to tweet about BTC or doge, and now it's suddenly market manipulation and potentially illegal when he is tweeting shit about it and it's going down?

That's too easy. No matter which market you choose, everything is "manipulated" by certain factors. Just look at stock markets. They are not so high because the economy is doing so well, but because the central banks are throwing extremely cheap money onto the market and thus driving up prices. In the crypto sector, one such factor is Elon currently. Back in 2015 and 2016, it was partly China. I still remember phases where crypto prices had plummeted massively just because China allegedly wanted to ban crypto. Every time has its manipulators.

That's part of the business! Deal with it or stay away!
1430  Other / Beginners & Help / Difference between sat/byte, sat/WU and sat/vByte? on: May 17, 2021, 03:01:56 PM
I recently sent a Bitcoin Segwit transcation and I noticed there are three different kinds of information regarding the fee high in terms of data size.

  • sat/byte
  • sat/WU
  • sat/vByte

See image below:

Can someone explain what this is all about?
1431  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Bitcoin & die Steuer - FAQ on: May 16, 2021, 11:30:36 AM
-snip-
Steuerberater 1 sagt:

Steuerberater 2 sagt:

1432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin Jumps 22% as Elon Musk Hints at Improving Network’s Transaction Efficie on: May 16, 2021, 11:25:21 AM
Elon Musk again! What will Elon Musk do next? I think if you follow him closely, you will make some money anyway. hahaha

https://www.coindesk.com/dogecoin-elon-musk-tesla-transaction-efficiency

I wonder if Elon Musk knows he can't just change the project. Of course, he can have a hand in improving it, but I doubt he will undergo this democratic process of a cryptocurrency like Doge. More likely he will fork Doge to let the changes take effect. Then there would be a "Doge Classic" and a "Doge Elon".

1434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the collapse of the media mean the collapse of cryptocurrency? on: May 16, 2021, 11:19:07 AM
Do you think the collapse of the media (Say a media blackout) can trigger the collapse of the value of cryptocurrencies?
What media do you mean?
In my understanding, the collapse of the media seems difficult to happen. There are too many media that we can use, how can all the media collapse? As long as we have the internet, media will survive and the crypto world to exist in our life. We don't need to be afraid of the media, all parties support the media because it has a big role in our life nowadays.

The question of the thread is so hypothetical that most probably have trouble understanding it at all. In principle, one could also ask: Would the fall of a bag of rice in China cause a collapse of the crypto markets? This question would be just as plausible Cheesy
1435  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 15, 2021, 06:34:29 PM
What the hell why is Schalke now winning against Frankfurt with 4 Scored goals , damn !

I Was Really Unexpected It Too, I Looked At The Game Stats And Was More Shocked To See That Schalke Only Controls 36% Of The Match.

I think this is because Schalke is making full use of all opportunities. Of his 6 shots in the direction of the goal, his 4 goals are scored. It seems that Frakfurt has no hope of entering the UCL zone  Cheesy

It's not a complete surprise! Already in the last match against Hoffenheim Schalke showed that they can play very good football. If they had slumped badly in the second half against Hoffenheim, they probably would have won that clearly as well. Schalke doesn't have a bad team overall but they just didn't function together as a team.
1436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the collapse of the media mean the collapse of cryptocurrency? on: May 15, 2021, 11:15:29 AM
Do you think the collapse of the media (Say a media blackout) can trigger the collapse of the value of cryptocurrencies?

Certainly not. You're painting a scenario on the wall that won't happen without it having a huge effect on the entire world, not just the crypto markets. There was a discussion years ago that is very similar to your topic: what would happen if the power went out worldwide, a mega-blackout so to speak, then crypto would become worthless and unusable, and fiat would be the big winner. All such discussions are highly hypothetical.
1437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto-Casinos and KYC on: May 15, 2021, 11:11:54 AM
1- Would you gamble at a crypto-casino knowing it would ask you for KYC documents before withdrawal?

I have written this here many times before. I would not do this. I play at crypto casinos because it usually doesn't require KYC, unlike most fiat casinos. KYC at crypto casinos are mostly applied just to cheat users out of their winnings. Most casinos are located on some Caribbean islands and are not fully legal themselves but require their users to do a KYC?

In addition, the safekeeping of a KYC's documents is not secured at all by such casinos, so that they can then suddenly be offered for sale somewhere on the darknet and your identity can be used for criminal business.
1438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: May 15, 2021, 11:07:33 AM
Tuche is a very good coach, no doubt about it. But Guardiola is in charge of Manchester City. Is he less experienced than Tuchel?

Tuchel is a good coach, no doubt, but at the level of experience in the Champions League, Guardiola has more experience.
Although they are practically the same generation of coaches, Guardiola is much more experienced.

If always the coach with the most experience would win, then many teams should not have won the CL the last years. I think the final is completely open. I personally see Chelsea as the favorite. Tuchel has shown in the league game that he can beat Guardiola, and it was not the first time he did. But of course, the CL final will be a completely different game.
1439  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto is increasingly being used for criminal activities on: May 14, 2021, 01:22:09 PM
One of the most widespread but false notions about crypto is that it is mostly used by bad actors for illicit financing: https://blog.coinbase.com/fact-check-crypto-is-increasingly-being-used-for-criminal-activity-and-is-a-haven-for-illicit-856a71dfb399

The lie still persists because it has been constantly repeated for a long time and has burned itself into the minds of many.

Nowadays, even high-ranking CIA employees* say that Bitcoin is used only little (compared to the total Bitcoin transactions) for criminal activities and that its use is even decreasing.

1440  Economy / Gambling / Re: NEW: Casinos Withdrawal Fees Rise (!?)|| April 2021 on: May 14, 2021, 01:17:21 PM
-snip-

Do you actually make the effort to create the reports yourself or do you get the graphics and information prepared somewhere?

In general, I have to say that the gambling withdrawal fees have increased, which is no wonder. Even Binance has raised the fees in Bitcoin. What I do to get around this is to make withdrawals in BCH or Doge, for example. These are much faster and cheaper, even though I am not a big fan of Bitcoin Cash and Doge, but there are a good utility to get around this fee madness.
