1461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A question on value on: May 07, 2021, 09:51:18 AM
I’m new to this so might be a silly question but why are some coins expensive from launch? Like from $1 an counting where as others launch at 0.000+. And some coins backed by so called “low rent rip off” companies (pancakeswap) have currencies that reflect  the former coin and “respectable” companies (Cripto.com) have coins that reflect the latter.

Hope that makes sense apologies if it doesn’t

Simply answer! Demand, scarcity and great promises. This is the mix that causes many people to pay horrendous prices for new projects.

Demand:
Especially in times like these, many new investors come into the crypto space. Many are looking for the next Bitcoin where they can multiply their stake 100x or 1000x. Therefore, everything is bought that seems somehow exciting and "cheap".

Scarcity:
The quantity is often very scarce in new projects, which artificially increases the market capitalization and the coin price. For example, if there are max 100 million coins, then only 20 million are sold in the crowdsale, the rest then flows into any development, marketing funds, etc.

Promise:
It initially promised so much. With possible market shares in 10 years advertised etc.pp. which blinds many, although these are often simply fantasy figures or refers to unprofessional studies.

Thanks a lot, I also got some offers of help via PN. I will take a closer look at them. @seoincoperation, I will contact you via PN as soon as I need help.

I close the thread here for now.
1463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: May 06, 2021, 07:45:54 PM
Me either. I do not believe in my eye and it is painful seeing Real fail the match. I thought they would perform better for this title. Zidane must be upset and irritated. 68% in possession and yet they can find a goal.

Congrats England fans. 2 of the 3 latest champion league finals belong to England. I will bet Chealsea for achieving this title even though MC is quite stronger. I love to support underdog team whenever my team is not qualified

It was a bit predictable. Real has had problems all season and has not been convincing in the league or the CL so far. Chelsea was in the same situation until Tuchel took over the team. Since then they have shown a continuous increase in their performance in the league as well as in the CL, which now deservedly results in the CL final. I am not a fan of clubs financed by billionaires, but in this case I would begrudge Chelsea the victory, for the reason that I would begrudge ManCity even less.

By the way, Bayern Munich will win the CL for the next two years. Next year with the top scorer Lewandowski and the year after with the top scorer Haaland :-P
1464  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Bitcoin & die Steuer - FAQ on: May 06, 2021, 07:39:08 PM

Steuerberater 1 sagt:

Steuerberater 1 sagt:

Also wenn total Unwissende an solche Berater kommen....dann gute Nacht.

1465  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What questions should I answer before I buy a new currency on: May 05, 2021, 07:50:04 PM
Hello friends, I'm new to the world of altcoins
I see lately a lot of coins exploding by thousands of percent
What I need to know before having the explosion
What questions need to be asked to know that this is going to be the next explosion
Thank you so much everyone

My best tip at the moment: Wait with the entry until the market has corrected a little. Prices are way too high at the moment and it is only a matter of time until prices correct a little or even more.

Then I would invest in a project and ask myself the question when choosing, which project has a specific purpose which is needed by companies and will this platform also be used by those companies?
1466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: May 05, 2021, 07:35:02 PM
The goal for Chelsea canceled for offside.
Fast match.

I can see Real Madrid dominating the game so far and Chelsea playing by a counterattack.
This can be the right move for the English club with the result of 1-1 they will go to the final.

Well, now Werner got his goal. 1-0 for Chelsea. Beautiful counterattack and nice finish! Funnily enough, Real has 70% ball possession and has taken more and more control of the game in the last few minutes and then this one play and Chelsea takes the lead. Fast and entertaining game!
1467  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: May 05, 2021, 07:26:04 PM
So far an even game. Kroos and Modric had good chances for Real but the shots were not placed enough. Werner scored for Chelsea but it was cancelled. I'm not sure if that was the correct decision. In any case, very close.
1468  Economy / Economics / Re: US economy is booming, but people are not seeing it. on: May 04, 2021, 03:47:58 PM
US economy is finally booming and it is a big relief for all of us, but in a worrying sign people are yet not seeing that boom, and this makes me wonder what happens if the general masses can’t feel the boom, will the US economy once again slip downwards?.

Furthermore what do you’ll feel is the key reason why people are missing seeing this boom in the economy, and I have read several reasons in the media but if someone has some personal perspective then please do share it.

Source:

https://edition.cnn.com/2021/05/03/economy/jobs-economy-covid-biden/index.html

I recently read a report on MarketWatch. During Trump's administration, the stock market has increased by $9.96 trillion over those four years. Since the election of Biden (just over half a year ago), the stock market has increased by approx 8 trillion dollars. I mean the increase in value during Trump's time was already exaggerated, but the increase in value since Biden's election is just extreme. This is not reflective of the real economy and hence why there are different views on the state of the economy. Those who own stocks believe the economy is booming. Those who don't own stocks really see that the economy is not booming.
1469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Neo has the ability to exceed $ 300 on: May 04, 2021, 03:41:36 PM
Neo is a very powerful project. This project has been in the market for a long time. The project has been repeatedly failing to achieve the desired goal for a long time. At the present time, many are expressing hope that the rules will now be able to create a much better position in the market. The reason is that his marketing policy is so strong that many are hoping he will be able to surpass his maximum high. Many people think that Neo will go above $ 300 in a few days. Do you think so?

No, I don't think so. Simply because NEO is far too centralized. Currently, six out of eight consensus nodes are controlled by NEO.
Another issue is the set goals that have been postponed and not met several times, you mentioned it yourself. And there is hardly any further development in the Github repository, which does not indicate that much is being done there.
I have sold all my NEO. There are much more interesting projects. For example, Waves. Technologically 100 times better than NEO.
1470  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Bitcoin & die Steuer - FAQ on: May 04, 2021, 03:24:06 PM

So weit, so gut!

Steuerberater 1 sagt:

Steuerberater 2 sagt:

Was sagt die Foren-Fachkompetenz hierzu? Cheesy Die NEM/Symbol-Geschichte betrifft ja enige mehr hier.
1471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Being unpredictable on: May 03, 2021, 06:00:05 PM
Is there a way that you can ensure being difficult to predict at Poker? For example, if you never bluff, people will eventually get to known that and it will reduce your ability to profit from good  cards? Anyone there knows techniques or trick to avoid being easy to read?

No, because there is a reason why hardly any casinos use computerized poker opponents. Simply because they do not play according to feelings but only according to probabilities. A bluff of yours is immediately exposed when the computer calls. Then you have to go out.

there is no personal matter but it's just a business~
Kill someone and say it was just a business. I believe he clearly knew what consequences this move was gonna lead to, he is not a college team player, he should have a personal lawyer who is in charge of such situations.

Pretty inappropriate comparison, don't you think? I don't think it was that clear to him though he should have sought professional counseling help. I mean almost every football club is sponsored by a betting company, so in principle there is the same conflict of interest as with an individual player.

1474  Economy / Services / Looking for Bash/sed/awk specialist - offering crypto for help on: May 03, 2021, 05:43:46 PM
I use Bash, sed and awk heavily in my daily work. Since I am advanced user but not a professional in this field, I struggle to get some tasks done from time to time. Therefore I am looking for a professional who can help me here and there with bash commands, especially with sed and awk.

So, I am looking for someone I can contact when I need some support. I will pay in crypto (Bitcoin, ETH etc) for every request / help. The price is a matter of negotiation.
1475  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin wasn’t created to make you rich. It was created to Enslave U & Track U on: May 02, 2021, 04:35:26 PM
Who exactly tracks us and how can you identify a person is that address from the other almost similar yet different address? Are you bitter because you sold your bitcoin when it was dipping and now the prices has gone up again and you don't have a bitcoin because you sold at lower prices so you spread FUD so you are not alone in that sad place?

Well, it's no secret that Bitcoin is easier to track than fiat money. No wonder even the CIA likes Bitcoin Smiley

There are a number of ways to assign the transaction to a person. The most obvious is when you want to convert Bitcoin to fiat, but beyond that there are a few others.

Wo sitzen eigentlich die Betreiber der Waves.Exchange-Website?

1477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: May 02, 2021, 04:26:21 PM
I really wonder whether PSG will manage to outplay Manchester City this time. It will be quite hard for them to do it certainly. City play really strong in their home matches in the end. And City would like to have the most ball possession too. Hence, PSG need to play really smart to be able to eliminate City. They did it to Bayern and can do against City as well.

I really don’t think PSG will try to outplay Man City, neither do I expect them to be successful even if they do, PSG best weapon against Man City will be to press very high and afford Man City no space to dictate the play, If that should happen then PSG might stand a good chance.

In my opinion, the only way PSG can still make it to the next round is by outplaying ManCity. ManCity has a pretty solid defense. They showed that not only in the first leg against PSG, but throughout the season. It's not easy to score goals against this team. Therefore, the entire tactic must be aimed at that. Against Bayern, PSG's tactics just worked, but against ManCity, it didn't.
1478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 01, 2021, 06:49:12 PM
Actually, this should be a clear thing for Dortmund. But that's what I also thought in the Bayern versus Kiel match Cheesy Kiel plays a very good second division season but has not played quite so well in recent games. Dortmund, on the other hand, has regained its balance in recent weeks. That's why I think Dortmund will clearly advance today.
1479  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Gegenwind für Bitcoin on: May 01, 2021, 06:39:22 PM

1480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for good projects on: May 01, 2021, 06:26:53 PM
Usually taking an investment advice from others is not the best idea. Everyone also pursues their own interests with advice, which do not always have to correspond to your interests. That's why I would always do my own research. And there is no way to get rich quickly, but only over time. Most here didn't get rich overnight with crypto either, but by holding their Bitcoins and other crypto for years, even when times were bad for crypto. That's the core of success, not which coin do I need to invest in to achieve financial freedom tomorrow.

And yet people in this space just seem to love doing it (same as forex and other regular trading though so maybe not fair to just say it's cryptoheads doing it).

And then also, people think doing research makes them immune to losses (it doesn't).

The real lesson is that you have to do things on your own to OWN your profits AS WELL AS losses. Then you really gain the experience from it.

Yes, this is a typical pattern, unfortunately. I've read so many insider tips in threads like this over the years, most of these projects don't even exist anymore. I do not even want to know, how many millions of investment money from people who create such threads have already been lost, because they invest in such projects instead of known good ones like Bitcoin. I remember people saying when Bitcoin valued 2k, I want to have a project where I could get a 5 or 10x return and Bitcoin can't do this because it has so much value already. Well, as we know today they were wrong.
