Magkakaroon din ako ng malaking transaction by the end of this year kaya I really have to at least fix my account this year.

Thank you for this tip and I am just really happy na na-accept na documents ko for their enhanced KYC.
2502  Economy / Economics / Re: Your opinion on side jobs on: February 11, 2022, 05:31:53 PM
General opinion is that a side job is one that supports the main income of an individual, often times perceived as something that brings little money to add to what you make from your day job. If Mr X earns better from a side job when compared to the income from his career option, does the side job still qualify to be called a side job?

Given the definition of a side-job, the latter is understood as something that is being practiced by an individual other than his main job. The main job may consist of anything that he/she devotes majority of their time into. If, in the event, that the side-job performs financially better than the main job, then this is a sign that the person must focus on the former to at least be efficient in managing his time and resources.

Like what most people have experienced, investing into cryptocurrencies and HODLing may be considered as a side-job but you generally HODL it for the time being. The only problem with this is that there is no absolute and stable flow of income as everything revolves around risks.
2503  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: February 10, 2022, 05:15:04 PM
For me it is also very difficult to reach the minimum requirements

10 invites are just easy. You can ask few friends to join through your links or gave around few dollars to crypto promoter to promote your links in exchange for giveaway. Another way is to simply invite random people from another server then hope that they will join through your links but honestly this is the worst way to get invites as most of them will be leaving the channel on a later date

I'd rather choose to invite my crypto friends to join on their discord channel than inviting random people everywhere since we cannot assure that our random invites will not spread toxicity on the channel so best to invite our friends since we might wake up their interest to join us on minting their NFT. Anyways good to see the slot almost filled up and I will notbe surprise if this one will be full in next couple of days knowing rollbit is a reputable casino.

At this stage of the competition, getting the invites seem essential- like you may call me selfish but I would exercise all the means just to invite others for the whitelist links. Though the potential problem that I see would most probably be beginners who would somehow fall and start their gambling sprees.

If we invite our friends, we do not know how they can have good responsibility to themselves and if something happens to them, we can be in trouble because we invite them to join through our links. We do not even know how much money they will use to gamble, although we can get something from them, we are still putting them in danger. If we think it is hard to do, we can skip that and not participate in any events instead of gambling for fun.

Well this is somehow true but remember that our actions involve responsibility. While we may have started or introduced them to the gambling scene, the responsibility falls on them on how they would approach this kind of scenario.

2504  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Making valentine's day memorable with bitcoins. on: February 10, 2022, 04:38:15 PM
February 14th is very much celebrated worldwide as valentine's day, a day to show love, not just to our loved ones but to everyone. I'm thinking of doing something memorable for my loved ones and maybe any other person, something bitcoin related. Suggestions please, how can I and us all make valentine's day a memorable day with bitcoins?

The beauty behind BTC is its commutative value- it can be either treated as an asset or as a form of currency. Its uses are very flexible depending on the things that you need but generally, you may want to withdraw and convert some of your BTCs to be able to purchase something nice this Valentine's Day.

If you are looking for something that can be associated with BTC this Valentine's, I guess you can create a post under the services thread and ask for something that can be traded with BTCs. In that way, gifted and talented users may be able to think of an idea that can immortalized BTC this February 14.
2505  Economy / Gambling / Re: Paddleboat Mississippi, new poker site with low fees and good privacy on: February 10, 2022, 12:51:58 PM
After a year in development I've launched my Bitcoin poker site, Paddleboat Mississippi. If you like no-limit Texas hold'em, please consider checking it out at https://paddleboat.ms/.

I am not a big company, just someone who likes Bitcoin and poker. I wrote the kind of site that I would like to play poker on myself. The game looks and works much better than other poker sites in my opinion. The design is clean and functional, putting gameplay first. It uses modern web technologies, but doesn't look like a typical modern site.

Objectively speaking, the website reminds me of those 90s computer where your dad stays at the office playing solitaire all night.

Kidding aside, though I do understand that your funds may be limited, I hope you invest on its aesthetics and overall user interface. It is essential that the moment a potential customer opens a website, it would attract him for the first 10s to navigate throughout the page. In this way, they would be more inclined to stay making them your potential target customers in the long run.
2506  Economy / Economics / Re: If you don't buy don't come here to complain on: February 05, 2022, 04:49:59 PM
It all starts with will and belief. I believe if we continue to be consistent with crypto and not have to care about what other people have to say, it will definitely pay off in the future. I look back at crypto which always provides opportunities for them, it all depends on us how to take advantage of it all.

I think more than will and belief, you have to at least back it with concrete data and evidence to fully maximize the potential of earning on your investments. The problem with cryptocurrencies is that most people believe that this would make them instantly rich without even understanding what they are investing on.

If you truly believe that investing into cryptocurrencies may be the key into unlocking the full potential of your investments, at least do your responsibility by providing proper research and data. If you go on investing without even knowing anything, you will most likely end up cashing out your investments before you even reach its full potential.
2507  Economy / Gambling / Re: Pragmatic play slots not available in my region on: February 05, 2022, 03:54:55 PM
Every casino there is has stipulated in their ToS about the countries that can and cannot be allowed to access their websites. It doesn’t really seem to be unfair because this is in compliance with the laws and regulations of those regions, and is being known publicly to the players in the first place. In the matter of VPN usage, there may have been many times that players was able to use such and didn’t encounter problems but it is better to contact the casino representatives to make sure it is safe and permitted.

I think gambling websites that disallow access from other countries are the regulated ones where their countries prohibit transactions coming outside from their country. While this is totally understandable on their part, others may circumvent this restriction by using VPNs. Unfortunately, using VPNs may be restricted depending on the TOS of such online gambling website. That is why, you run the risk of losing access to your account (and your funds) when you violate any of the TOS stated.

Again if it is possible, avoid gambling websites that are regulated as their are tons of restrictions on their end that might hamper your overall experience.

Maryland Man Drugs Father to Access His $400,000 in Bitcoin
https://decrypt.co/92072/maryland-man-drugs-father-to-access-his-400000-in-bitcoin

"After his father passed out, Ghershony used his father’s phone to move $400,000 of Bitcoin to an account he could control"

Probably this situation will not become a sensation, but I never understood people who store their bitcoins so that they can be stolen using a mobile phone.By installing any wallet program on your mobile phone, you tell many spyware about your cryptocurrency.

I am somehow guilty with this post as this hit me. Unfortunately, I store my BTCs in two (2) exchanges (one in my local exchange; other in bitpay since it accepts bech32 address). The problem associated with this is that the information is stored within my phone. In the event that it gets stolen, the thief "may" be able to access my funds and send it to another wallet.

Fortunately, those said exchanges have 2FA enabled where it requires my password before sending my BTCs. Though this may be the case, I do also think that it is a bad practice to keep my BTCs inside exchanges as they are prone to hacking, like what happened to several big exchanges in the past.
2509  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: stake.com- Does not have gambling responsibility on: February 05, 2022, 01:52:55 PM
Instead of self exclusion, you'd better looking for professional to recover your gambling addiction. It's your 100% responsibility to use the website or not, if you don't want to use the website why does you try to deposit and gamble again? Then you blamed them and want return of your last 2 deposit? It's really doesn't make sense.

I believe if you've got excluded by Stake for forever, you'll still use other casino due to your addiction.

I am a firm believer that prevention is definitely better than cure. If one acknowledges that he/she is suffering from any kind of addiction, it is recommended to be highly proactive about it (e.g. preventing any possible return from the addiction).

Whenever someone is truly committed into resolving his/her gambling addiction, it is necessary that there are steps that must be made to prevent him from going back. If by permanently excluding yourself from a gambling website, this can definitely help someone from suffering addiction ever again.

Guys just to give you an update, after 1-2 weeks of sending KYC documents and talking sa customer support ng coins.ph, they finally updated my verification level! If ever gusto niyo din tumaas yung verification level niyo guys after sending your enhanced KYC documents, talagang expect niyo ariund 7-14 days.

For Level 2 yan no? Grabe ang tagal ng period ng verification di gaya ng dati.

Pero worth naman kung talagang gamit na gamit ang coins.ph sa mga mga transaction.

Graduate ka na boss and wait mo na lang next year hehe. Congratulations.

Yup this is for level 2. Unfortunately, since unemployed din ako (staying with my dad), hindi ako makapag provide ng document na nag rereflect yung address ko and nakapangalan din sa akin. I'm still looking for ways para maging verified level 3 ako for more options and amount to cash-in/out- para in a way future-proof na ako with any transactions.

Congratulations.

Thank you bro! Feeling ko, naka depende din siguro sa documents na ipapakita mo para ma-accept ka ng mabilis. Since unemployed ako and I am staying with my dad, siguro medyo nahirapan din sila at it took them time to accept it as they continuously asked for more KYC documents.
2511  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do bitcoins have promissory notes? on: February 04, 2022, 06:20:30 PM
Isn't that necessary?

A promissory note is something that is convertible to cash (or considered good as cash) that can be circulated in the market. Since it does represent cash, you can primarily sell it to other people or endorse its value thereby making the holder of the note the owner of it. The problem with promissory notes is that it has the tendency of being faked out (i.e. fraud signatures, material alteration on the price, fake indorsements, etc.) which pose a problem to the current holder.

Unlike normal promissory notes, bitcoin has a record of its transaction through the blockchain technology. A block cannot be changed as it will constantly be checked in the blockchain which somehow defeats the purpose in the first place if it were to be considered as a PN.
2512  Economy / Gambling / Re: Information of Crypto Casinos License and KYC requirements on: February 04, 2022, 06:08:18 PM
No License, No KYC casinos are my favorites.

License means regulations, regulations means problems. Why would a casino need a license? The only thing a casino needs is a good reputation and it only takes some time to build it. freebitco.in is a very good example.

If I can't access to a casino like this, of course my second favorites are Licensed/No KYC casinos.

I somehow agree with your statement. Though what bothers me are unlicensed online gambling websites as they are unregulated. Though this may be the case, this can easily be remedied if the gambling website has proven itself to be relatively 'trustworthy' through the test of time (e.g. their overall time of service, etc.). But generally, I avoid unlicensed gambling websites especially if they are brand new and if they are still establishing their name on the market.

As for KYC, it is definitely a no-brainer for me. Why would I ever want to expose my identity to something that is unregulated/regulated which can potentially leak my information?

This is aimed at promoting Bitcoin adoption and, as a newbie member here, I wish to see your advice and suggestions.

Thank Odusko

I find it amusing to see that third-world countries are starting to adapt and integrate BTC in their mode of transactions on payments. I just do not understand on why some first world countries are missing out in this opportunity, given that cryptocurrencies are starting to take over predominantly on the market.

With your business model, how do you plan on receiving the payment on your end? Once the transaction has been confirmed, will that verify/imply that you have received the payment? My only comment with this would be the time when you receive such confirmation as this may create lines on the restaurant. Anyway, wishing you all the best on your business, OP.
2514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CHESS] World Championship 2021: Carlsen Vs. Nepomniachtchi on: February 04, 2022, 03:53:30 PM
yes, the faster the clock the more it'll happen
have you tried playing this 1 minute games on lichess?
almost impossible to predict all possible scenarios so fast.

Lichess has some good analysis tools too, quite useful for studying openings and game development
I have tried to pay games that fast, not on lichess but against computer software, and I can say that it is a nightmare, even if play at a regular speed there are positions so complex that it is very difficult to see the right movement, and when you have such a time restriction you are playing basically out of instinct, as soon as your opponent makes its movement you need to be prepared to do yours otherwise time will pass and soon enough you will find yourself with even more problems to manage the time you have left.

what helped me was reducing the time slowly over many plays...
now I can play 5 minutes games without stressing so much, still better to play slower ones but I find them enjoyable, lower than that is still hard and I find it the faster the game the more addicting it gets too

Lichess is a platform where it is a game of memorization and familiarization of opening repertoires and traps. Mostly, people who participate in lichess are skilled in knowing and recognizing patterns from the games they have played. That is why whenever I participate in lichess tournaments, I always blunder my pieces due to the time format of playing only under a minute.

Compared to players like Magnus, Alireza, and Andrew Tang where they can instantly play at any time format due to their skill, us beginners and normal human beings will most likely blunder every single time.

By the way just a recommendation, will it be possible if we could create like a "Chess Discussion Board" where we put all the relevant matches that were played instead of plaguing this board.

2516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 01, 2022, 02:19:18 PM
What a game! 76ers beat the Memphis Grizzlies in OT successfully without Embiid and stopped Ja Morant from doing his thing and I think it was the best defensive play I've ever seen in the NBA. Though he managed to pass the ball to his teammate, the shot was not successful forced a turned over and the 76ers closed the game with 3 points lead and +2 points in a buzzer-beater.

Tyrese Maxey played amazing!
It was a good match to watch for everyone. Sorry for the Grizzlies fans, it must be sad to lose the game after such a good game. Ja Morant and Desmond Bane had a combined total of over 70 points. But it wasn't enough to win.
We couldn't watch Joel Embiid in this game, but we didn't need it Cheesy Philadelphia took the court with an incredible performance. Thanks to Drummund, Maxey and Harris we watched a very good game
I think that the Sixers already find a good point guard that will be a perfect for the team Smiley.

Just develop Maxey and trade Simmons. They don't need him. They need a PG that will be a good addition to the team and that is Maxey. That last play really is the game changer. That defensive play really saved the 76ers. Well for the Grizzlies fans out there, your team is playing well and most likely will enter the playoffs with at least in the top 4 (maybe). For Drummond, TBH I thought that he isn't a good fit for the team for some reasons but now I think that he has a contribution in every game and he is given more minutes than usual now that Embiid is out in some games.

Watching Ja Morant is like watching D. Rose during his prime. He can finish and attack the basket so flawlessly that any defender would be left on skates whenever he's on the court. He can also drive and finish like any other player since he is so acrobatic and flexible on the court. Though he missed a game winning free throw shot, if he could develop his jumper and free throw shooting, he will definitely be a threat or even a candidate for the next MVP. He just makes everyone around him so consistent and efficient in the court.
2517  Economy / Reputation / Re: 1xBit.com Coming back to Bitcointalk, Solving all the issues. on: January 31, 2022, 07:30:32 PM
I saw some people had their cases solved almost immediately and me waiting so long, I really don’t understand. I believe I won’t see my money at all, but worst thing is i know nothing at all, they don’t want to explain me anything, security team is ignoring me and support team is writing me this:
it is most likely that their security team deemed your issue as closed. I've seen a lot of people complaining about 1xbit for months and don't really get a response or closure from 1xbit as to why their account was banned, their funds confiscated, or what rules they broke.

A quick question, is it possible for 1xbit to regain and recover their reputation from all the alleged (and legitimate) issues they have faced so far?

From all the complaints that I have seen, it seems like not all issues were directly solved as some were remain unheeded and neglected. I am just really baffled on why people still prefer to gamble at their platform given their track record of withholding funds whenever players try to withdraw their winnings. I mean, it is definitely easier to avoid than to cure- as the latter may be considered unrecoverable.

Let this be a reminder that if you guys were to gamble in 1xbit, at least think and reconsider several times. The fact that this thread is also full of complaints shows on how messy their system could be.
2518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Still haven't sold a bit of BTC since 2013... if I can do it you can do it too! on: January 31, 2022, 07:14:25 PM
Hi everyone, it's been awhile, just wanted to tell you that I still haven't sold a bit of BTC since 2013... if I can do it you can do it too!

Some of you may say it's a dumb decision or risky, but I'm all for BTC and positive about it. To the Moon!

Whoah, that is some serious dedication that you have OP!

Given the fact that you have not cashed out your BTCs yet, I am assuming that you are somehow financially comfortable with your situation? If I were in your shoes, I would probably cashed out my BTCs when its price reached an ATH on the last quarter of 2017 ($20,000). Since you also do not see the need of converting them to cash, them HODLing them is definitely the way to go.

Generally, I see BTCs as a form of investment and money. The only time that I see the need to cash them out is that if I am in a situation where I need the money for some emergency purpose.
2519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are your criteria to go back/sticking with one particular gambling house on: January 31, 2022, 06:58:54 PM
Each casino operates on the basis of its reputation and standards to survive at the right time, you need to analyze and focus on the market. Bonuses and prizes are also important for casinos before you start gambling online it is important to accept responsible gambling rules adhere to these shots and you will be able to prevent problematic situations. Gamblers bonus online casino offers new players a promotional incentive that can also find a specific gambling site.

Customer service responses is what makes or breaks an online casino. Given that its nature primarily existing within the sphere of the internet, issues when it comes to payment, connection, withdrawals, and other related matters are one of those things that are to be expected- that is why an active customer service is key in addressing these concerns. Their timeliness in addressing these issues would at least feel the required security and assurance that they acknowledged such and is being handled accordingly.

Like some have mentioned, reputation is also important in choosing your casino. One would always prefer to gamble in a casino that is proven to be trustworthy compared to a relatively new online casino, even if the latter offers bonuses and freebies.

sinabihan naman nila ako na it will take their team daw 8-15 days to review yung mga pinass ko na documents.

Grabe ganyan na ngayon sa coins.ph? 8-15 days? Parang sobrang tagal. Sa Enhanced Verification yan?

Yup, sobrang nagulat nga din ako na napakatagal na kailangan i-review ng team nila yung documents that I passed for enhanced KYC. I mean, naiintindihan ko din naman sila pero sobrang naging inconvenient lang ito sa akin to the point na they asked for my personal BTC account email, username, and wallet IDs.

Actually bro, sobrang nagulat din ako when they asked for my forum account. Somehow, nag vent din ako ng frustrations ko sa kanila kasi sobrang dami talaga nilang hinihingi. Member ako sa coins.ph ever since 2017 and nakakagulat lang na sobrang higpit talaga ng ginagawa nila ngayon. After sending all of my documents, screenshots, etc. nag hihintay pa rin ako na sana tumaas na verification level ko.
