Perhaps, but they will have something for sale in July (batch 3) while you only have something in September.
Having something for sale sooner counts. What would you say to this? I am happy with my September Sp-30 purchase, but wish that you would have something in July-August.

I got 2 x SP30s for August... did you miss the group buy? Awesome price as well. 12 Th/s for about $0.75 Gh

From tapeout to mass production can be done within seven weeks if everything goes OK
TO - beginning of March.

Tapeout to samples:

40nm, 28nm - 8 weeks
20nm - 4-5 months

Prove me wrong.

Quality 20nm - 4 to 5 months.

Mining is affordable if miner manufacturers lower their prices.  Everytime the difficulty rises by X percent, the manufacturer needs to lower their price by an equal percentage or risk being priced out of the market.  The hardware company that can best afford to adapt to that is the one that will survive.

The company that gets the biggest orders from the deepest pockets will survive. Has little to do with difficulty more to do with lower power and higher density now.
1324  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Technobit Fucks Us Over Again on: June 17, 2014, 03:20:35 PM
For those pissed by Bick and his lies and for Technobit customers real isues

I sense desperation and the lack of spell check. If you simply copy and paste his customers complaints in chronological order they magically become lies that people should be pissed at? And for real Technobit customers?  The few you have left that still cling to the idea that the bigger the heat sink the better the paperweight? It looks like your stuff is made at the Moskvitch factory circa 1966-67. That isn't a compliment.

All jokes aside the shell game that Technobit played for so long is coming to an end no more places to hide where you can pretend you have shipped something and then cancel the order and stop the tracking numbers. We don't do that anymore do we Marto74 as it actually leaves an electronic trail and when people called the shippers they found out you lied? Now you just say you ship it tomorrow or will ship it soon and then don't for months knowing full well you were never going to make any more of that specific unit you said was ready to go, don't worry about it. Slick buddy really slick.

This guys losing his grip. One thread so we are not spamming up the boards and then he starts in just like before dumping on plenty threads playing his games. This is where it all started and in all deference to those that do not like a proper accounting of his bullshit practices you can easily ignore this thread. There is only 1 of them unfortunately he has littered the board with his faux help thread and countless rants in more calling all his "customers" and shills to defend him from what? A single person copying and pasting all his past deeds? What does he have to hide?

Let us call it like it is, guys off his nut because he can't control this message. He can't bribe, threaten or shout here. This is a safe place for the truth to sit and be observed in quiet reflection without the noise of Marto74 and his paid entourage. Simple way this game ends? Reimburse the people you owe and stop lying to people about shipping shit and finally act like an honest broker in this community.

That is interesting video right there...

Those chips don't seem to get the Novec vapourizing much. Speaks well to the SP10 as an air cooled unit. SP30 board be keen to see that.

Quick introduction, since this will be my fist post here. I am a work colleague of antirack, and I am the one that have been doing the setups for this "lab" tests.

I have been running the SP10 for quite a while now, it works great, just not very optimal circumstances for the boards as they had to be placed horizontal and heat dissipation side down. Hence also a bit tricky to get a good recording of the action, if you so will.

Short explanation: Unlike AM Gen3, we designed the our 1st gen ASIC (Hammer) to dissipate the heat downward, which is far better for QFN package, in our opinion.

I am pretty sure same goes for the BE200 ASIC, but I leave that up to you engineer guys. My comment was of course not meant be negative in any way, just explaining the situation of this tests. I also intentionally kept the ASCI side up to make it look more interesting then a big copper plate. Hopefully soon I can show some boiling action of both sides in a better way.

You could see a lot of action (vapor bubbles) escaping through the mounting holes and out from under the edges of the board as the vapor builds up under the board it makes for an interesting show but obviously this is not the normal configuration. If it were a vertical setup you would have that rolling "boil" look I suppose. It just bet the SP10 board so well designed that in comparison to a smaller pcb of a higher density with 'older' hotter chips is comparing apples to dragonfruit with the SP10. They don't really need to be in Novec with those Hammer chips, but if you had a much smaller blade maybe that would be required. It be great to get some numbers on the SP10 especially can you overclock the snot out of the Hammer chips in the Novec even laying flat? Or do we all have to wait for Inside Bitcoin Hong Kong to learn more about the potential? I can't wait to get to Allied Control and check all these things out.

Curiosity!
1329  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Technobit.eu SCAM ALERT (Fraud, Scam, No Refund, wrong promises) on: June 17, 2014, 02:29:23 AM
If anyone else is seeking compensation still from Technobit and Marto74 please come and tell your story here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=647966.0
1330  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Technobit Fucks Us Over Again on: June 17, 2014, 01:55:29 AM
So we get it. If you complain too much then you get nothing. If you complain a little you wait 4 to 9 months for anything until you complain just a bit more or loud enough to see results. What do people get now? Nothing? At this point you know the community isn't going to simply accept that sort of behaviour. It is clear you run a huge risk of never seeing your money or your miners. And if you so much as complain you get nothing. So where have we seen this before? BFL? HashFast? AMT? KnC? BA? Bitmine.ch? Cointerra? Just one more joke to add the list of companies that seems to think it is ok to hold community coins for as long as they like with no repercussions. Just don't buy from Technobit it is clear they do not want to be professional. Look at Marto74's behavior is that what you would expect from a professional?

Those are the actions of a disturbed individual struggling to reconcile his unethical behaviour with his a false perception of what a great and noble guy he is giving the world his great gift of miners. Great you are an engineer thanks but lose the attitude. Borderline Personality Disorder? It seems the more you pinpoint the problem the more he lashes out rather than finding a compromise position and resolving disputes in a professional manner. Remember what happened to southerngentuk it didn't matter he was polite or professional Marto74 still tried to turn it around on him. Same with this instance. Trying to deflect blame rather than take responsibility. There are 6 year olds with better social and negotiating skills than Marto74.

Next story out tomorrow.

Industry standards:

"Consumer getting burnt being commonplace in mining, is it prime time to start setting the bar high and protecting the consumer?"

I am sure a short case study question to this panel on best practices will yield an interesting response. I wonder what they will think of the situation for Joe, Darkfriend77 or southerngentuk as well as the BFL 6 month refunds? Is the right response to customer complaints ignoring them and then blacklisting or shifting blame to people who are trying to get the truth out? I wonder what Technobit's direct competition would like to say about it? I dare say the hundreds in attendance will certainly be keen on hearing the answer.

I have been asking since Oct 2013

profile posts to see I have tried to handle this in a mature patient manner,
and yet marto has made accusations that it was my own fault to save face
when clearly he has some large failings in his business.

I feel it a great shame as his products are good and I would of liked to have
purchased and received a lot of them in different circumstances. However I
purchased gen 1 of his miners which seem to of been deliberately pushed
to the back of production to for-fill more technically superior products.

When Marto should of been making Apologies he was making Accusations,
this really does not help customers confidence. When you have been waiting 3 months

extremely arrogant or his website has some serious faults that is leading to all these
problems, only martin knows the answer too that." -  southergentuk

I tried to outline southerngentuk struggle with Marto. I think he really sums it up here in this reply to another Marto74 customer gcube1305.

Dear forum/thread members...

I have received a refund for my order (marto still has those now useless chips, my loss).

Four months has passed since the expected delivery date, therefore I do not in anyway feel satisfied.

This does however bring an element of closure so I can stop pestering in Marto's threads.

My apologies to all who have had to put up with my constant posts, I wish it could have been done in a different manner but when PM's are Ignored it leaves little options.

Regards to all

SoutherngentUK

I have been refunded too, but i did not use the huge red letter method...

Just got a PM from a Marto customer (I won't reveal name unless he says its ok) who said that Marto had his money for almost 9 months and refused to refund it until he removed the negative feedback.

1. He is blackmailing his customers so they can get a refund
2. He is refunding 9 month old purchases which is definitive proof that he took money and providing nothing in return and now in an effort to try and recover some credibility he is trying to refund a few people but won't do it unless they agree to remove the truth.

Just very sad.

Yes he keeps learning Joe. He deletes any records of complaints in more recent sales threads and the customer echo chamber thread where only positive comments are kept. If anyone from his [ANN] Technobit 60 Ghs HEX16B(Bitfury v.2 based) 16 chip board design - 149 EUR sales has a complaint we will hear them here but clearly he will not refund people who speak out. People have to avoid this pos company. You just can't trust him to deliver on time or refund promptly. The only way to get any reputation back at this point is to refund everyone he owes. He probably doesn't even know who he owes at this point given there is quite a large number who have already complained.

Running through the list for just two threads there are a number people we hope to contact who may still be owed refunds or miners. PM me if you see your name on the list below if you want to be added. We are trying to get a more accurate number of people who either need restitution or have been burned by Marto74 and Technobit.

Clearly there are a lot of people who have had issues with Technobit and Marto74.

This thread is for those who would like to post their complaints so that everyone in the community can see what has transpired without the needless trash and troll or deletion of other threads. This is a safe place to post your complaints and concerns.

Oh the courts are working... and Sonny V. already got notice last probation hearing when he got a 2 year extension. The next hearing he goes back to jail. Let us see where Josh Zerlan finds himself. No doubt plea bargain his way out of any jail time.

Also note that FSB4000 stopped spamming the ratings... I guess he knows that the end of BFL is coming and there is no hope in hell of ever seeing a Monarch in the wild. BFL doesn't even think so... they are moving to promising hashing power. Go figure. What a fricking nightmare.
