@claymore Please make us A decent Grin Miner for Amd!!!!
Please Mr. Claymore!!!

What's wrong with existing Grin miners?

Nvidia miners are faster,

Gtx 1060 mines almost 2x than a rx580 8gb

amd miners dont have any major speedup since launch

You can easily balance this battle with you amd master skills  Cool

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

AMD Radeon VII running at ~89 Mh/s according this post on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/gpumining/comments/ao5dk4/amd_radeon_vii_ethash_hashrate/

I'd not believe that easily; hashrate of 90 looks quite too much. Can anyone confirm that?

From what I read, it won't really matter because this GPU was produced in very small quantities and its already sold out. Even if its not sold out then its very expensive even for the ETH hash speed.

Then there is also the possibility of the ETH devs finally deciding to switch the algo over to ProgPOW and we have no idea how it will perform to the Nvidia GPUs then.

Most will just stick to the cheaper RX gpus.

if I will get some of those cards, I will not mine daggerhashimoto coins for sure
cause this monster will do some other algos better

Benchmarks have been shared on this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5107271.msg49650288#msg49650288
So far, Radeon VII is a winner for ETH & ProgPow ~30 Mh/s. For monero It doesn't perform better than Vegas right now ~1.8 Kh/s.

@claymore Please make us A decent Grin Miner for Amd!!!!
Please Mr. Claymore!!!

What's wrong with existing Grin miners?

All miners are good for Nvidia cards, we need one for AMD cards, Vega, Rx, so please have a look at Grin coin, maybe you can do a good quality miner for AMD...
As always, we appreciate your work.

just chant claymore! claymore! claymore!

might work, worked in the past, might work now  Cheesy

Even if it's sold out, it shows that in near future there will be some real monstrous cards for Ethash and other algorithms. Seems like I should get rid of my all old RX and R9 series cards before they're worth nothing.

Good day
problem on Sapphire INCA CS-14 Compute System
By default, miner trying to mining on integrated graphics card Radeon R5, of course gives an error. Not possible disable integrated graphics.
when i use setting "-di 123456789abcde" no errors, but video card indexes do not match temperatures,
if video card overheats miner reduces the temperature of the wrong video card that overheats.
if i use finminer all good, but not stable as claymore's miner
please fix this

AMD is being thrown under the bus / swept under the rug on Grin mining. An AMD Miner Dev Guru is needed... Like you Claymore!

Indeed and I'll add that the case for ProgPoW mining software there is no support for old cards. Tahiti, fiji, bonaire and more are being left behind.

Hello
Its maybe a stupid question, but can I mine anything with my RX550 2G cards? (Except cryptonight)
So far, I mine Monero, but last Months, the diff jumped up, and I cant be in plus.
My rig with 6 cards need only 250W from the wall, and the cost is only 0,05 usd/kW for me.
At Moneros 40-50B diff, that was ok, because the rig work 2500H/s on CryptonightV8 (2700 was on V7), but now, at 100B diff, I am on Zero.
Can my cards with only 2G memory mine anything else, with a profit or I must just sell them somehow?

Sorry, if its not the right thread for my question. If so, please show me the right thread. Thank You
