Troubles with eth solo in 5.1 (it's Shift, but I hope they are similar)

Piece of miner log with -dbg 1 switch

Node log isn't availiable for now, but it seems it simply works in mining mode (submits works on blocks and imports them). No messages about mining block((((

This log for about 1 sec. What "mining block" messages do you expect?

I want to point about node isn't see proper miner answer. As you can see in the log SIA part works on ETH share somehow(

Code:
09:35:23:019	15a4	ETH: 07/14/16-09:35:23 - SHARE FOUND - (GPU 0)
09:35:23:019 15a4 http send request: {"id":4,"method":"eth_submitWork","params":["0x0624243c05ada672","0x35b5d75ff1f31f33303e1b2068a211a6de7d42d5a602f1f5eb92d878d108ef8d","0xc5aa5c8eb0a2374bfaa36621962f0f343070b5534eb1b241154c50db98ae8d77"]}

09:35:23:022 15a4 SIAD http response: {"jsonrpc":"2.0","error":{"code":-32600,"message":"invalid character '\\x00' looking for beginning of value"}}

09:35:23:022 15a4 ETH: Submitted share rejected!

I can show how this works in 4.7 (shf+dcr)..

Anyone how's R9 390 performance in dual mode ETHSIA comparing to ETHDCR? I see huge performance drop on same settings

On version 4.7 set -cclock to 1100 and -mclock to 1500, hash rate around 20.5 MH/s
On version 5 same as above, hash rate become 21.5 MH/s

That is weird since OpenCL code was not changed. But see below.

Quote
There is some small trouble, on first run the hash will not increase to 21.5MH/s instead only 20.5 MH/s. Atitweak showing that the clock already set correctly.
I need to close and rerun claymore for the second time, then it will increase to 21.5MH/s
I can confirm this issue with 380X card and Windows rig. For my case I do not restart miner, but instead just change clock options using Afterburner once, and immediately set them back. And hashrate jumps up by 1MHs exactly as you tell. I remember someone already wrote here about such effect. So you may as well try to change clocks twice using atitweak with some delay in between. Maybe it helps.

@Claymore: May it be possible to implement a "-tteth", like an automatic "-li" vs. GPU maximum temperature, feature (like "-ttdcr" for eth)? This would be great for maxing out the eth rate in volatile temperature enviroments...

Sorry, let's do it with 5.1 solo Shift + pool Dcr...

Here is data in node log...

I0714 11:02:37.644902 miner/worker.go:337] pџ”Ё  Mined block (#xxx / b7561e26). Wait 5 blocks for confirmation
I0714 11:02:37.644902 miner/worker.go:555] commit new work on block xxx+1 with 0 txs & 0 uncles. Took 0

And here is appropriate miner log...

I delete logs of 4.4 after 5.1 released unfortunately.

Maybe stratum implementation for Sia will increase delays between Sia shares... 2 of 2 rejected with Sia again...

I want to point about node isn't see proper miner answer. As you can see in the log SIA part works on ETH share somehow(

Now I see. Fixed, download v5.1 Beta2.

Please read Readme and FAQ in the first post of this thread before asking any questions, probably the answer is already there.

I have been working on a live DCRI setting calculator, while also comparing SC vs DCR. I manually changed the DCRI and recorded these values. Anyone have a way to automate the testing and recording of each DCRI benchmark value?

I am using JSON to pull prices, difficulty and other values needed to calculate revenue.

Here is what I have so far:

Nice job. But if u add electricity to equation, picture comes quite different..
And fyi, u dont have to record both hashrates, because dhash=ehash*dcri/2. If u look at results at 2 or 20 or 200, its obvious.
Also different cards peak at different values so model should be noted.

With a WIN7 PC running just GETH and Claymore,
why is there several hundred megabytes of disk space consumed every day?

If you point miner on geth than logs (-dbg 0 or -dbg 1 parameter) grow quick enough (about 3-4 Mb/hour). The 2nd disk hungry monster is blockchain database (try to look in c:\users\(your user)\appdata\ethereum).

Logs can be swith off (RTFM is a right habbit)))), but blockchain db should be kept. You cannot mine solo otherwise.

Only if you mine ETH (or forks) in HTTP mode (solo mode mostly).

Thanks, so I will run Claymore with -dbg 1  parameter to stop logs

If I don't want to mine solo I can delete c:\users\(your user)\appdata\ethereum?

it should be -dbg -1 NOT "-dbg 1"
i have a question will that effect production "effective hashrate" when change it to -dbg -1

Anyone how's R9 390 performance in dual mode ETHSIA comparing to ETHDCR? I see huge performance drop on same settings

yeah same! Im running 5 R9 390s in a rig, and running 1055 core 1500 mem I was getting 150MH/s ETH and 4000MH/s DCR. Now with SIA Mining, I'g getting 134MH/s ETH 3370MH/s SIA. Didnt change any settings in the config file. :/

Of course i am. Do you mean ETH solo only or dual mode ETH solo\Siacoin pool also?

@Claymore
I cant get dual mining to work it mines fine with solo ETH, but when I try and mine sia or decred it hangs on DAG Epoch and restarts my system. I have this running on 10 other rigs fine and set these up the same way.

Guess I was looking at the password x after -ethi 4 instead of: epsw x -ethi 4

ok, that's the way mine is set  Smiley

Setting up mine, I had to tweak various miner rigs and suddenly they wouldn't run right... and go back and see a missed - or a space lol

Where exactly in the command line is the best place to add a command? ( -dcri, -ttdcr, etc.)I am trying to decrease the over all intensity as a means to cool the cards. No matter where I place them it seems to make no difference.... temps go right back to the same.

I should mention its been a 105+ heat index here last 2 weeks!  Shocked

Feel free to post your "cool" command line.... I don't care if I mine a few less coins, just don't want to burn up my gear dual mining  Wink
