new release working great on nicehash so far.. I couldnt get it to work by using the config file at all. ended up just making a new shortcut with the command line you provided in the example.. If you use the config file it will say incorrect btc address and it never fully connects to nicehash.

For failover, use "epools.txt" as described in "FAILOVER" section of Readme. Do not put failover pools to "config.dat" or to command line.

Thanks for clearing me up on that.. I have been doing it wrong this whole time id guess.. thanks again

Best Regards

Hey claymore. First i want to say that ur miner is great  Grin . I'm sorry in advance in case this was asked a million times but i couldnt read the whole post.
First; Its there a chance that the dual miner can work with other coins that are more profitable than decred?. Example; Expanse or shift or can u add that option in the future?
Second question, maybe in the future can we buy ur miner for a a period of time (lets says 30 days) instead of a devfee? I dont like that the miner switch very often and that creates a drop in the hashrate.
Third question, what is the bat config example to dual mine in nicehash?
Thanks.  Cool

1. You can mine expanse, read Readme ("Ethereum forks mining" string). For dual mode as a second coin you can mine Decred only.
2. No, I don't sell miners. Also I think switching one time per an hour is not very often.
3. You can mine ETH on nicehash, but not DCR because they have own stratum for DCR that I not implemented yet.

Hello Claymore. Thank for your great work on this miner what help`s us a lot.
But i would like to ask some very important features as from my view.

1) Summer heat come and we have almost not any options to lover gpu usage, with new drivers we have almost no any options to lover gpu frequency- and some of my cards get to 85+ at the middle of the day heat( i set lover voltage, lover freq, max fans, set additional power funs, bios mods). It would be very good if you could add option to make lower gpu usage - something similar -insensitivity as we have in old cgminer. And it will be perfect to lover -insensitivity on any card from our choice as often we have 1-2 GPU overheat from 4.

2) On some of my rigs as i look at msi afterburner i see gpu usage drop to 0% periodically(on some to 50%), think it is not good for GPU, and as i remember on your past miners you make what gpu was full load without drops. If it is possible to make it will be good.

As old miner if i will see this 2 point in your miner you could be patient what without no doubt i chose your miner.

Best regards from russian miners community.

1. Ok I will add an option for that, but note that less GPU load will reduce mining speed.
2. I don't see such things (except if you specify low -ethi, for example, "-ethi 1"), but sometimes it can be for primary GPU because it is also used by Windows. Or may be you have some hardware problems. You can ask here if someone has similar problems.

Please read Readme and FAQ in the first post of this thread before asking any questions, probably the answer is already there.

Wow this software just made Claymore 10x more awesome!!   I love this.  Is there a way you can have the status show all GPU temperature rather than just the hottest and you have to click to see it?  Also maybe add a feature so we can change the nickname of each Miner vs remembering IP address.  Last but not least why does it constantly show disconnected and reconnected?  In short, this software is super EASY to use and so awesome!!  Now I can see all my miners on 1 screen!

For dual mining, is is possible to add an option to specify the amount of hashpower devoted to each coin?  For example what if I wanted to devote 70% to ETH and the remaining 30% to DCR?

Didn't know Claymore's dual miner had an API Access? How would we access that? Didn't read anything regarding that on the first post. Wanted to create something where if hashrate is below XX then restart miner.

Thanks for the feedback. Right now you need to click the GPU tab to see the individual temperatures for each miner. I can make some improvements to make it possible to show all temperatures in the list of miners.

All miners have a "Description" that can be set to anything - as you can see in the screenshot. You simply right click on a miner and select Properties to change this.

Could you please send me the log file (Options -> Advanced) in a PM (or mail) so I can see what the disconnected problem is about. If you have more questions, please use the forum thread for Awesome Miner - so we don't take up too much space here in Claymore's thread. Thanks!

In the first post you see a comment about the mport-parameter, but I will let Claymore answer on the details for this one.

Claymore - Can we have a feature to show Temp for the GPU in the Statistics for the workers?  I think that would be very useful.  The App for Android is nice, it is too much effort to put each IP address.  Who created that APP?  Would be nice to have a subnet scan.

Miner shows GPU temperature. EthMan.exe shows it too. So what's the question? If you mean showing temperature in some other software - contact its developers.

Sorry brain wasn't thinking earlier.  I was looking at Ethermine.org status and somehow correlates to Claymore, two completely separate operations.

1. It is ok.
2. I noticed what only on my 380(tonga) rigs no matter what -ethi  i set .

Maybe your CPU is overloaded?
Miner needs small amount of CPU, but just yesterday I saw a situation, when on 4-core intel cpu I had a 3-thread cpu miner and Claymore's miner on 2 GPUs and chrome with 8 tabs
Cpu miner was consuming 3 cores (fixed cores with affinity) and Chrome was using 100% of 4th core
Result: GPU0 (the one connected to display) was mining with 50% of possible speed. The page which was using cpu was Poloniex btc-exp page...

So check for rogue cpu processes.
Or, if AB period for monitoring activity is too small -like less than 1sec

Check sample "epools.txt", there is no "EWAL" parameter, there is "WALLET" instead.

No CPU was not overloaded(about 3-6% load) - but you are right man - pointing me to what direction - i set high priority to ethdcrminer64.exe process and load was steady 100%.
This need to be add to help file.

Thanks for help! )

Often see this on Windows rig of 2 GPUs with 4.5. As I suspect, the issue is linked to PCI-e risers. Without them all works with no issues, but any card on riser reports that with some probability. If error started to occur, maybe 10 to 50 restarts may be needed to finally create the DAG. -gser 1 does not help. Riser changes do not help. Interestingly, when DAG changes itself by block number, this system never has any problem. But again the probability matters.

I have no idea what to do, currently trying to replace the motherboard by another model since both cards were worked in another system.

I would like use monitor, but is not possible. Btw ver 4.1 give me 167MHs and other newest just 165MHs Smiley
I have 5x Sapphire R9 390.

Here is my config from 4.1 and from latest 4.6.

4.1 config:
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

cd C:\Users\ETHRig1\Desktop\CDM 4.1

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eu1.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal (ethaddress) -eworker ETHRig1 -epsw x -esm 1 -mode 1 -tt -100,-100,-100,-100 -cclock 1170,1170,1170,1170 -mclock 1500,1500,1500,1500 -etha 0 -ethi 16

4.6 config:

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

C:\Users\ETHRig1\Desktop\CDM 4.6

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eu1.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal 0x(eth address) -eworker ETHRig1 -epsw x -esm 1 -mode 1 -gser 2 -r 20 -tt 65,65,65,65,65 -fanmax 100,100,100,100,100 -cclock 1170,1170,1170,1170,1170 -mclock 1500,1500,1500,1500,1500 -etha 0 -ethi 8 -eres 2 -erate 1 -estale 1 -tstop 80,80,80,80,80 -mport 3333

At exactly 2200 EST both of my Claymore rigs just stopped hashing for some reason.

They both locked up at exactly the same second, and they are plugged into differerent breakers and such.

Here is the log. The timezone is off in one rig.

I would like use monitor, but is not possible.

If you are on Windows search for "Mouse without borders". With it I run rigs off of one monitor.......my main PC monitor. Of course another option is to SSH into each rig from a PC/laptop using something like "putty".
