hi

is there any news for hashrate drop for R9 390 8g, is not yet set as RX 580, DAG file eat my hashrate  Cry

from 33 Mh/s to 25 !!!

There give no news, DAG problem, mine a coin with lower DAG. This problem will never fix and it is very old shit. I write this 1 or 2 times a week and every day the same question.

Read this from phönixminer:

Hi

have there real problems, when mines with R9 390 u. R9 390X GPU's .....
For some months, the hashrate is decreasing continuously from formerly about 33 Mhs / s to about 25.9 Mhs / s even though the R9 390 (X) of the DAG Epoch problem should not be affected at all ...
have any idea to get back 33 Mh/s
Resiste the DAG Epoch
This is caused by the size of the TLB, which is too small for the current DAG sizes and causes constant eviction from the TLB cache. AMD released the "compute mode" fix for RX4x0 and RX5x0 cards, which simply increased the memory page size. However there is no such fix for 290/390 cards. Probably there is no way to increase the page size on these cards because of hardware limitations but only AMD knows for sure. You can either mine coins with lower DAG (basically everything except ETH and ETC), or accept the hashrate drop (but it will get gradually worse over time).

What is the forecast for 4GB cards to stop working? At least another 12 months?

Hi all I am new here trying to set up for solo mining on a ubuntu machine Eth only. I have the blockchain downloaded and geth running I have set the address in start.bash to 127.0.0.1:8545 I have tried 192.168.1.13:8545 , localhost:8545 but I keep gettimng "ETH: Failed to connect to pool (127.0.0.1:8545), retry in 20 sec...

What am I doing wrong I have read the read me 100 times.

Here is my ./start.bash  ./ethdcrminer64 -epool http://127.0.0.1:8545 -ewal 1c0b92f3aef254a2c122713a8e8a34eb2a760c77 -mode 1

It works ok with the default pool but I would like to solo. It reads the graphics catds OK and I have the right drivers.

OK it is working now the problem was how I was running geth. all good now
Congratulate on your success,But I am still in the similiar issues.I am solo on the WIN10 with GPU.

I might have misunderstood something, but if you're talking about the miner's settings then it's put after the pool's address like this: -epool eu1.ethermine.org:4444
Is this really what you were asking?!

Hi guys, please my apologies in advance if my question does not fit here, but if that's the case i please ask the mods to move this message to where it belongs.

Up to 2 weeks ago (more or less) i could mine without any problem with version 11.9 of claymore. At a certain moment the mining just stopped and from that time till now i get the same error:

Then I tried to upgrade the claymore version to 12.0 thinking that maybe there was something that had changed but in fact nothing did.
I have only one MSI RX 580 with original updated (from MSI official webpage) bios, and the virtual memory is at 70 gb (I put that at a high value to test if paging was bothering but still no good) and Windows x64.

The drivers of amd are version 19.1.1 but earlier versions work the same (not working I mean).

Anybody could have a reason why suddenly it stopped working?

Thanks.

Try this:

DDU, restart
Install the Blockchain driver
Patch it
Add this at the beginning of your start.bat file->
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

or

Use any 18.x.x driver version + Compute mode on

If you don't believe it or don't get it, I don't have the time to try to convince you, sorry.

Seems like DAG is again become too big.
in few days  with new epoch 1063 will stop mining at all

It can be an issue in W10, by installing the last driver version probably you got the automatic update switched on, by the amd installer
Try to disable that first, than DDU and try again

Yes I will update my miner to support ProgPow when ETH will be ready to switch to it.

Will you still support ProgPoW for your miner if Ethereum Foundation doesn't accept switching to ProgPoW and therefore some new Ethereum Hardfork coin launch with ProgPoW switch?

Hi, do you use one of the GPU card to display your monitor?
If yes you should use internal video output on mainboard to your monitor.
Also do you use your computer only for mining?
Did you setup extra virtual memory? Eg you should have atleast 16GB virtual memory
If you have free mainboard slots you can try to move the GPU that mine at a low rate to another slot.
Maybe also upgrade you OS a new Win10 install may run better, it is best if you have another HD that you can swap with a new OS
