Hey, Next time before you buy something better think twice before jumping into china miners What about the original software is it working? I was playing with grind seed units just once grind seed chip I can tell you that I was mining happily for hours and cgminer fork of greendsed was showing me hashes flowing when USB was not working at all These guys are funny So chose what you buy wisely for the feature Never buy something with close source that is all

The original software works, and works great after I fixed it (their web gui was all screwed up pointing to the wrong files and such. Fixed the pointers, translated it all to english, and it's been mining 24x7 since I did that.). I get a steady 1.2Th/s from it. However I was contemplating putting it on leaserigs and all works except for the ability to change pools via API. And for what it's worth, *I* didn't buy it but did agree to it. And as far as I know, most of the hardware is "made in china".

After all these efforts and time spent to make a Chinese web translated and so on A friendly advise do always check your pool stats against forks hash rate. It might turn out that 1.2t cgminer stats are 1t or less paid shares and it is not luck trust me. Con mentioned once that he can make any miner to show ANY hash rate with zero hw errors if we wish. But that is not the point. The point is that china forks do it on occasions now and then In my opinion for 1K+ we deserve at least shiny web translated in English But who cares..... If their cgminer was open source you can always merge it with cgminer official code right?

I wanted stock cgminer to see if I can get it to work with leaserigs. The original webinterface had both chinese and english in it, I simply removed the chinese as it made things look MUCH cleaner. Also, according to ghash.io, my poolside hashrate ranges anywhere from 1.05Th/s to 1.1Th/s. And I may be "just a customer"...but I'm a highly technical one I just can't code in C

BXM is however bitfury so assuming you don't have any other bitfury devices... restricting it as BF1 is the key there. (--usb BF1:0).
That did the trick. Thanks.

Can happen while devices are failing intermittently where they will reconnect as a new device, or failing more substantially, requiring them to be unplugged and plugged back in if they do not re-initialise.

I got lot's of those when my usb hubs failled. Bad power and fried hubs. They would read a pen drive but wouldn't power the BXM. Invested in a pair of 10 ports Ankers and that problem has gone since.

ok, I went back 15 pages, but didn't see this answered, so I hope I'm safe in asking:
Antminer S3 support yet? I see S1 & S2 folders, but no S3 folder yet.. Hoping Kano has a binary soon..
Trying to compile my own, but getting the build env right is... painful.
I too am looking forward to this. Maybe Kano will fire one off soon-ish.

Wait 2 weeks from this Monday. bitmain is supposed to be updating to a newer version of cgminer other than 3.12. I have no clue if ckolivias or kano have any involvement but I'd hope they pick it to pieces when its released to the public.

I don't care of Bitmain posts the update or if Kano has to do it. Con + Kano still get donations, as they're the ones that wrote the software. I'd much rather be running 4.5 rather than 3.12.

Don't shoot the messenger. Whats to say it will do anything that you will notice. If your having a problem with your antminer and cgminer email support@bitmaintech.com and tell them as well. It might just be their software and not ckolivias or whatever fork they follows problem. Do they even use ckolivias fork for building? When I was trying to first use U2s I was going to use jimJags since it had it in there before it got on here but I had compile issues that I have not gone back to try again since then.

Lol, sorry if I came across as hostile; that was not my intent. I just meant that to me, it doesn't matter whether Bitmain or Kano put up a new version of cgminer; Con and Kano are the ones that deserve the donation. Bitmain already has my money from when I bought their products, and Con/Kano deserve some of that as well.

When they get donations they are obliged to lick your ass and reverse engender Chinese shit? Donation means that you give something and you do expect NOTHING IN RETURN so to make long story short bitmain took your money not like donation go and ask him to update cgminer will you? Besides both you as customer and bitmain are violating the law. You know that right? But you just do not care correct? You will eventually donate and that makes you in position to order people what to do? Funny

I ordered my S3s before it became a very public ordeal that Bitmain had not released the drivers for the S3s. I understand that Bitmain is making mad money, using software that Con writes for free. That seems wrong to me. You can call it a donation or a voluntary payment or whatever else you can think of to make you happy, but a small transaction for every S3 I own seems fair to me.
