Does support litecoin mining via cgminer 4.8?

After seeing possible options, I see no option using scrypt as oldest version!
All previous version lower than 4.0 has been removed!

Any feedback?

Sounds like you answered your own question.  I think GPU and scrypt was discontinued around 3.8 or 3.8.2.

From the Top Post

FAQ

Q: Can I mine scrypt with FPGAs or ASICs?
A: No.

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
A: Top-posting.
Q: What is the most annoying thing on usenet and in e-mail?

Last cgminer that support GPU was 3.7.x
If you need GPU mining go for sgminer fork: https://github.com/sgminer-dev/sgminer

@conman @kanoi: I have a core file I'd like you to take a look at, maybe, please?
Code:
#0  0x00041dc4 in usb_perform_transfer (cgpu=0xbe2910, usbdev=<optimized out>, intinfo=<optimized out>, epinfo=<optimized out>, data=0x0, length=0, transferred=0x0, timeout=0, mode=0, cmd=C_REJECTED,
    seq=0, cancellable=false, tt=false) at usbutils.c:3061
3061 else if ((endpoint & LIBUSB_ENDPOINT_DIR_MASK) == LIBUSB_ENDPOINT_IN && *transferred)

Hmm, that C_REJECTED command isn't even meant to be something to be sent to the usb as a transfer so no idea how it ends up with that combination - it ends up trying to send nothing. I'll poke around the code and see if there's something obvious.
FWIW, I moved them to a BBB I had an the issue ceased, so assuming it's the as usual buggy Rpi usb/enet driver

Would a command line switch to specifically enable/disable certain Bitmain USB devices be possible?  I am running cgminer under Win7x32 with 12 Bitmain U2s.  I limit the number of usb devices to 12, and when all goes well the result is:

Then, unpredictably this can happen:

Sometimes you can fix it by quitting and restarting cgminer, other times a reboot is necessary.  Obviously not a priority, negligible hash rate I'm maintaining because it's on my desk and I don't want to throw away the gear.  The U2s also randomly disappear or go zombie once every few days, so I scheduled regular reboots.

Thanks ckolivas for great software.  I've been mining with cgminer for 15 months now.  I haven't sold any of the mined BTC, so the fiat return to date is -49%.  It is more about supporting something I believe in than trying to make a profit.  I'm up to 7 TH/s now, but BTC would have to go back above $640 for the operation to be in the black.

Are there any pre-built linux distros of CGMiner with Gridseed support enable? I can't get this to compile at all; GCC is throwhing an error saying it can't compile executables.

Done with this forum. Goodbye all.

I can't find anything that supports it honestly. BFGMiner is supposed to but it can never detect it. Maybe somebody else will have better luck with it. Anybody want a GridSeed?

Anyway, I need CGMiner for a RockMiner New RBox too.

Anytime I get to the "make" stage it gives the following error:

If configure end up in error make will not work, sudo or not.
Read line prior "can't create executables", or config.log.

Hey,
I'd like to discuss an issue regarding cgminer 4.9.0, but not in a 790 page forum thread, of course. Would you mind activating the issue tracker on github.com in order to make issues readable and discussable?

Is the blockerupter prisma/tube not enabled in the windows binary download?  When I run cgminer 4.9.0 it never detects the tube I have connected with a

CP2102 Uart.  The option "bet-clk 25" results in "unrecognized option".  I complied it myself in Mingw.  This way detects it but I get LIBUSB errors the a crash.

This same setup works fine under Linux but due to hardware placement windows is the only option now, or the crappy controller using a proxy.  Never have been

able to get this thing to hash under Windows 7 x64.

...
I also now noticed there is a bug in LSTime that was mentioned earlier, the time isn't displayed properly.

Thanks for the update Smiley
Yeah a fix for that is looking unlikely now ... I've been looking into it in the last few hours ...

They changed the code that outputs the "Last Share Time" somewhere recently between Ant S1 versions.

So it makes it a bit beyond silly having the API break it's extremely reliable backward compatibility for a silly change like that ...
If it was a new field, that's no issue to add to my API hack/fix, but changing an existing field from a unix time number to a h:m:s string is a problem.

The new binary works great!

I got it back to a normal appearance rather than just the UNIX timestamp.

vi /usr/lib/lua/luci/controller/cgminer.lua

Find the part where it says: "--lst_date = os.date("%c", lst)" and get rid of comment (the --).

Had to do a reboot to get the change to show, buy you guys here probably know a better solution to reload luci/lua/whatever it is. I'm very new to all of this so hope it was somewhat helpful.

From:
         if lst == "0" then
            lst_date = "Never"
         else
            --lst_date = os.date("%c", lst)
           lst_date = lst
         end

To:

         if lst == "0" then
            lst_date = "Never"
         else
            lst_date = os.date("%c", lst)
            --lst_date = lst
         end

only 2 posts and never seen again. This fixed my updating and time table. Thanks for solving one of the problems I just ran into using updates. This fixed the problem thanks again.
