Same here epic failure  for r9 280 Dual-x  (compute errors, 0 h/s, red everywhere, no need to ask drivers, oc, compute, lock memory pages all ok! i have a Vega 56 rig too doing better but still 100w more for V8 than V7 and 100h/s less...
)
i dont want to be disrespectful with your awesome work and support (really) but:

As you ask on your 1.7.0 release post: NO! WE DONT WANT USELESS EXTRA TUNING GADGETS to mine 10h/s more but screwing up 50% of our gpu's and all pasts benchmarks.

I mean of course if it's usefull, like very usefull i'm ok but:
i MINE : CryptoNight ,CryptoNightAlloy, CryptoNightArto, CryptoNightB2N, CryptoNightFast   ,CryptoNightHaven ,CryptoNightHeavy   ,CryptoNightItalo , CryptoNightLiteV7, CryptoNightSaber, CryptoNightStelliteV4,   CryptoNightV7, CryptoNightV8 with a profitability switcher that i coded
if i need to bench (x8)²x508x48 possible settings/cards/algo on every release i'll rather to stop using a tool that will makes me spend more time to bench and set up than to mine ...

SO PLEASE YOUR PROGRAM IS GREAT!= new goodies or i dont know how do you call this (fragments, bralock, aes) and all these ****** settings which makes me pull my hairs off for 1 week to earn what: 10h/s or 0========E X I T !

very easy fix, use old version that good on r9 280 und problem solved

my vega & rx rigs thank you for 1.7.0 doktor!

I use minerstat switcher for this rig (this is my PC in fact...) which cannot reach old api requirements (which change on every release too)....

API in SRB changed on every release?

Hello !
Is it possible to set up a forcerestart windows 10 when the miner crash? Every miner crash I lost remote access (teamviewer, google remote) to the mining RIG and I need to acces physically to the rig for shutdown.

if the OS crashes then you will need a smart outlet for remote control. I have all my rigs on the tplink HS110 it also has energy monitoring built in.

Well if windows hangs then you can't do anything else but restart the machine physically.
Maybe you should lower a little bit your overclocking settings so it won't hang ?

I tried but my Vega ( 56 reference blower) are already running at low speed 1395 / 925 . Miner crash every couples of days  (5-6) , there is only 1-2 compute error per card after one week running. I don't know how to identify the bad one.

No i'm wrong (fast answer... i was deleting my post.sorry..) just minerstat default value didn't match with the new/old 1.6.8
"(- API parameters now have to be set in start.bat (--apienable, --apiport, --apirigname) , removed them from config.txt)"

I use 1.6.8 for r9 280 dx, i need to check when minerstat auto-update miners to force it to roll back/downgrade....it's ok for a 10€/month miner not for my 3x6 Vega 56 (Sapphire Pulse 56 nano PCB which are amazing...btw!)

1.7.0 for my 56s running ok with default settings, it seems to draw less power than 1.6.9 and prev'
<=1.6.9 :220w of the wall OC 1508/950 Cv8 2000H/s
1.7.0 :190w; gpu-z says 130w/150w= 2000H/s Cv8. (Cv7= 2100H/S)

No problem i got used to angry people  Grin
What is really making me confused sometimes is that some complain on XY gpu new version is a lot worse, while others for that same XY gpu say the new version is a lot better. Smiley

I know something got 'lost' for older cards on the road, in the next version i will again add a 'useless extra tuning gadget', which will maybe bring back what got lost for those older cards.

I have a rig with 6x RX 570/580  - 3 with HYNIX memory and 3 with Samsung.
On the HYNIX memory I am getting only around 900 H/s on cryptonight_v8 and 990 H/s on the Samsung

Rig is - Windows 10, Beta blockchain drivers, SRB 1.7.0, 1200/2000 MH/z

The cards are not throttling, they are at 100% usage, I tried --computemode, doesn't make a difference.
I tried editing the bios with SRB Polaris - nothing...

Can anyone give me an idea where the problem is, I see lots of you have Hynix memory cards
Thanks

yeah angry people in a angry "beautiful" world (sense?!!!) .... Grin
fact is f*** windows 10 of s***** likes to make jokes:
i used to experiment (when i was a cryptominer kid  Smiley ) some services, user assignments, regedit, drivers, UEFI access related to storage/pci-e, -- inherents, non-logicals, "can't be" errors...(we are not talking about stock bios /brand programming, OC, risers, dual PSUs ((server(Gpu+Riser)/pc(MB)) wired together with floppy port) and all hardware/software config  yet  Wink  Grin )  Grin

What i remember:

- Clean hardware installation and bios settings (for exemple: DO NOT assign and boot on dGPU but on igpu; i can read this bullshit everywhere! i work with TB250 BTC and trust me that's a mess!)
- Very clean, step by step Windows 10 installation and set up (for exemple: W10Pro no often the best one, i recommend business or workstation ; i use in order (if it can help) :

1 W10 Updates,
2 Activation script,
3 Lock pages in memory, Pcie-e Power link and HDD settings,
4 Iobit drivers booster (uncheck dgpu),
5 Reboot,
6 AMD Drivers Andrenalin 18.6.1,
7 Reboot,
8 Optimizer 4.5 (check all),
9 Reboot
10 Add PPT .reg file and crossfire/ulps off,
11 Resetvega+overdriventool homemade script with compute mode,
12 Reboot,
13 IOBIT Advanced System Care full clean up and optimisation,
13 Reboot
14 Scan with anti-malware then uninstall (i use IOBIT Malware Fighter of course!  Wink )
15 Install Nord Vpn
16 Reboot
17 Download and install miner (check and tune access to .exe (admin?!, user assignments, owner of the partition.ONLY IF SOMETHING MESS UP when start mining..)
18 Tune miner settings
19 Reboot
20 set up "auto boot" in bios (scheduled + AC power loss)
21 set up auto-start script for miners for windows when system boot up
22 breathe, eat, fuck, sleep!
23 code a profit switcher script  https://github.com/autominer/autominer or use Minerstat https://minerstat.com (sorry some advert here but simply THE BEAST, THE BEST, THE MORE EFFICIENT, WELL CODED, USER FRIENDLY, AWESOME and very COOL SUPPORT app, yeaaahh i'm in love!

yééé im good timing 23 23 23 23 - https://youtu.be/xfE3EVaSqtk  Grin Grin Grin

Writing all of this i was wondering if the recent AMD Gpu Pro 18.30/RocM in Linux 18.04 brings finally a chance to reach sames hashrates as windows?!
What do you think about this? implement a Linux version should be THE solution to brake with "angry people" and they "gadgets related" stupid questions?!  Grin

Thinking about SRBMiner Linux? not at all? maybe? yes of course here is the link?!  Wink

Sorry for my english as you can read only a french guy can screw up eng language like this  Grin

580/8 hynix memory. 1.6.7- 1100+h/s but 1.7.0- 1050 h/s haven. there is an opinion that the miner 1.7.0 does not see some parameters from the config. when changing aes, fragments and bralock, the speed does not change and parameters a,f are not change in the table at startup.

Because you need to add them like this:
"gpu_conf" :
[
   { "id" : 0, "intensity" : 58, "worksize" : 16, "fragments" : 4, "threads" : 2},
   { "id" : 1, "intensity" : 58, "worksize" : 16, "fragments" : 4, "threads" : 2},
   { "id" : 2, "intensity" : 58, "worksize" : 16, "fragments" : 4, "threads" : 2},
   { "id" : 3, "intensity" : 58, "worksize" : 16, "fragments" : 4, "threads" : 2},
   { "id" : 4, "intensity" : 58, "worksize" : 16, "fragments" : 4, "threads" : 2},
   { "id" : 5, "intensity" : 58, "worksize" : 16, "fragments" : 4, "threads" : 2}
]
}

Hvala unapred

Thanks @MinersRus .

I finally made my 6x vega 56 works. They are modded with vega 64 bios. No soft power play table. Miner is SRBMiner 1.7.0 and driver is 18.10.1

I follow the instruction here.

https://www.reddit.com/r/MoneroMining/comments/9pwedo/guide_to_reaching_2k_2020_hs_on_cryptonight_v8_on/

except the intensity is set to 120.
Totle hash rate is 11900 H/s and the power on the wall is 1250w. Isn't this power consumption kind of too high? or it is normal for v8?

Did you bios mod your cards?

No

Did you use soft power play table?

No

XMR-stak did not work anymore for me so I am trying to use srbminer now. Any link or pointer would be appreciated.

Complete configuration details are here:

That actually is pretty good. V8 is much more power hungry.

Your power is 208 watts per Vega 56. My seven average 225 watts.

Can you provide what your Core P6/P7 frequency/mv are set to and the MEM_P3 frequency/mv is. Thanks

So after setting the fragments in gpu_conf, you get higher hashrate than on 1.6.7 ?
