hello everybody,

I am using win 10 64 bit and 3 vega rx 64 with adrenaling 18.6.1. driver
I had the problem that after a while (3 to 24) hours one of my cards crashed completly and could not be reset bei srbminer anymore, so hashing stopped completly.

now I reinstalled the driver (DDU save) and also didn't use BIOS hack anymore.
I deactivated CrossFire and started srbminer 1.7.0. with only changing my wallet adress in pool file.

srb starts, detects all 3 cards and connects to the pool. as soon as it starts to mine, the whole windows crashes and restarts automatically.

what could be the reason. thx for an clou.

thx
uli

I had the same problem when I first started using SRBMiner. To tackle this issue, I identify the problematic GPU and reduce its memory clock a little bit and that solved the problem for good.

I also had the same issue with one of my Vega 56's. I had to start with minimal settings and then one by one tweak until I identified the weak one. I was then was able to do the full aggressive tweaks to the other six then found where the weak one would fail then back off on it.

So i have some issues with one rx 480. Sometimes everything works with it running at 900 h/s. Most times it is running at 650 h/s, with or without video cable on it. What could be the issue? Anyone has similar problem? TIA.

Thank you for the info. So the plan for me now is to identify the one card that is making problems and when I found it?
sorry for the noob questions.

OK, I digged deeper into it. Problem was deactivation of crossfire with on specific card. I now changed the riser I use for this card and everything is OK again. I only hope that also the problem of temporary crashes is solved now.

thx for you help

DOK. my cards don't work well with the drivers 18.5.x and 18.6.1 (even in stock frequencies), stable work only with 18.3.4. with i 54, w 8, f 1, t 2.
rig 9xSapphire 580/8 special edition, HYNIX H5GQ8H24MJR
999000000000000022339D00CEDD6B4470551414B80D960B0040C400750314204A8900A00200000 018123745B92B3A16. (this timing is the best and stable for me) 1230-1250/2100-2150 (880mv) - 1135-1165h/s on the haven algo.
If i>54 and f>1 + 2 threads = crash cards. in 1 thread i can start miner with i=100 f<=16, but hashrate is low and only 8 cards and 1 card (random)need low settings (i 54, w 8, f 1, t 2) 9 cards = crash. any ideas?

Getting a TON of compute errors with 1.7.0 on CN-Heavy.... Same settings at 1.6.8 and I saw no issues with... Keeps telling me to reduce memory clock... Even with dropping all clocks back to 1950 I see these errors... Anyone else?

1.7.0 is working great for me on my 4x RX 560 (XfX 2GB) rig mining CNv8. I'm getting 460-490H/s per card with intensity set to 25.0 and using MSI AB 4.5.0 to set core at 1200, mem at 1900 and 100% PL (running an Anorak powersave BIOS). I really like the restart miner if hashrate drops below a certain value function as it seems that one or both of the middle two cards on this rig will drop in hashrate by about 150H/s every so often.

All in all, I'm happy to pay the dev fee vs. running xmr-stak compiled to have no devfee, as the latter barely did better than 400H/s per card and it had stability problems when it did run. Unfortunately, I am running at a razor thin margin of profitability vs. power cost right now, and it is only because the weather turned cooler recently that I am keeping this rig running at all (everything else was turned off and/or sold earlier this year).

Just a little headsup for the ones with a rx570 4GB, I increased the hashrate with +/-50 h/s by using W8 instead of W16, v1.7.0, on various cards with various clockings. All the options in between gave me errors or reboots or crashes. Power consumption seemed to increase too by 10 watts or so, for both stable clocking sets for 800 mV and 875mV. (SRBPIMP straps).

Hello friend,I also have these cards , this strap is the best strap for Hinyx memory, but your  880 mV is too small for this algo V8 and these cards,rise up your mV to 950 and have a nice minning.

9 gpus x 8gb memmory  =  72 gb x 1024  =  73728 gb of virtual memmory you need to set for these cards.

So my problem are the straps too? I tried all other setting (intensity, fragments, wroksize etc.)
Which straps for RX 580 8G Hynix or cards with HYNIX memory in general are the best for V8...

P.S. Greetings Slav brothers Tongue

This strap is good for this type of memmory ,but gpu conf isnt good, only 330 mhs per card
Try this setup
"gpu_conf" :
[
   { "id" : 0, "intensity" : 100, "worksize" : 8, "threads" : 2, "fragments" : 16, "bralock" : 50},
   { "id" : 1, "intensity" : 100, "worksize" : 8, "threads" : 2, "fragments" : 16, "bralock" : 50},
   { "id" : 2, "intensity" : 100, "worksize" : 8, "threads" : 2, "fragments" : 16, "bralock" : 50}
]
}
You can also try Intesity setup up to 116

king_pin Read this : use this strap and second "gpu config"  1230 gpu  2100 memmory  950mV  power, happy v8 minning.

Repeat of question:

Whats happening with the RX 550 2GB with the 1.7.0 version?

When i run benchmark mode the hashrate is 465 (lower than the previous 490), but when i run the miner it drops to 365 h/s. Algo is normalv8. The RX 570 perform better than before, the RX 460 are at the same level.

Doctor, do you have RX 550 cards to test this?

Any answer would be much appreciated because my 12xgpu RX 550 rig is hashing only 2/3 of what it did. As i said, the two RX 570 rigs work even better than before. Great job on that!!!

Don't repeat, but read back. Try various values for 'fragments' parameter. Benchmark uses same config as normal mining.

What is your settings in config , I set sensitivity to 27  worksize 24  thread 2,   memmory 1970 core 1170-1200 880mV   460mh/s per card ,maybe can better ,but this is stable for me.
