something on your side is up

tried multiple rigs

I: 56 (heavy loves this)
WS: 8

--resetvega --ccryptonighttype normalv8 --cgpuid 0,1,2,3,4 --cgpuworksize 8,8,8,8,8 --cgpuintensity 56,56,56,56,56 --cgputhreads 2,2,2,2,2 --sendallstales --enableduplicategpuid --gpureorder

this is extremly good for heavy, but what is going on V8, if i switch back to heavy everything goes like charm..

Intensity 56 is too low for V8, if im right you have a vega, so set it to :

intensity : 112
worksize: 16

for mining stellite I stopped at version 1.6.4
the hashrate is somewhat lower, but without failures and without errors

ok, in global which version worked the best on those R7 370 pitcairns ?
Im asking because i can try to replace kernel 2 with that old one you say worked the best for you, and add all new algos without trying to mess up too much.

Also do you get compute errors on new SRB version on V7 too ?

Because V8 can make more compute errors, it's more 'sensitive' to overclocking and the strap you are using.
If i remember good you had a lot of compute errors even on 1.6.4

if someone has managed to get Tube2 version 1.7.1 to Rx 580 8 GB without fail it will be thankful to share settings.with adrenaline 18.6.1 I tried a lot of combinations but for now without success. "heavy_mode": 3,"Fragments": 9999 was the best I got on 7 cards - 8310 h/s on heavy,  but one of seven cards did not go away."intensity" : 58.   Doc, how do you benchmark the cards when running the program? It is interesting that with the same settings they give different crashes. Have one reached half or some percentage of their power and there are stuck?

In the global sense, the best version for older maps of the Citcairns for me is the older version 1.6.0. It is a bit slower, but did not fail where I used it
  1.6.4 works with errors but not everywhere, but faster

Hey Dok.

Thanks for the constant updates on the miner.

Tried the last one and it seems I've lost 150 hs on each vega 56 on haven compared to the last one.

My config is as simple as possible. I did try to play with the values but it doesn't affect it. The miner starts above 6700 for 4 vega, then drops slowly to 6300 / 6200. Does seem watts are down a bit...

Any tips?

Thanks

If you don't really want to play try :

"intensity" : 61,
"double_threads" : true,
"worksize" : 9,
"fragments" : 1,
"aes" : 0,
"bralock" : 32,
"heavy_mode" : 2

Thanks! My best Vega does 1720 now. Average is 1700. Power went up 40 W on the rig, but that's ok. Don't get the mentioned 1800 yet Tongue

check i=58 mode 2 f=0

i check all manual settings on 1.7.1
they all give worse results, went through all the combinations
but more than automatic mode they did not give
-combination last driver + 1.6.7 (possibly .1.6.Cool
 only valid for Algo: cryptonight-saber

Hello guys !

I did the update to 1.7.1 but I have lost 300 H/s. I'm mining Normal V8

I have 3 Sapphire RX Vegas 64 Nitro+

Config in 1.7.0 :

{
"cryptonight_type" : "normalv8",
"intensity" : 124,
"double_threads" : true
}

GPU0: Radeon RX Vega [gfx900] [8176 MB][I: 124.0][W: 16][T: 2][F: 4][A: 0][BUS: 9]
GPU1: Radeon RX Vega [gfx900] [8176 MB][I: 124.0][W: 16][T: 2][F: 4][A: 0][BUS: 13]
GPU2: Radeon RX Vega [gfx900] [8176 MB][I: 124.0][W: 16][T: 2][F: 4][A: 0][BUS: 3]

I tried to put same config in 1.7.1 but lost 300 H/s...

Drivers : 18.6.1
I tried to play with "aes" ; "fragments" and "bralock"  but nothing good ..

Going back to 1.7.0 ...

Any tips ?

Ok, wanted to make another report. For the past 12 hours both of my GPUs are mining at their full capability, both going above 1750H/s. But before I restarted the PC one of them was like 900-1100h/s. And I'm sure, as always, that the second GPU will drop to the cca 1000 at any moment. Everything seems so random, I cannot pinpoint at any setting or config to tweak and say I did this thing and it works properly now. I simply downloaded the latest 1.7.1 version and inserted my wallet into the config. It was mining with one GPU at 1750h/s, and the other one always started at 1100 and dropped to 900 eventually. So, yeah. Really not sure what I can do myself for that matter.

Edit: I'm also using the latest 18.11.2 driver.

Edit2: Ok, I just played a video on YouTube and it dropped to 1100h/s right off…. And it stays like that the whole time now. *sigh*
