Hello everybody.
Tell me please.
Can I use a miner for a solo fork ether?
Tks.

Yes. The Claymore miner can mine solo.

I'm interested in a solo FORK ethereum, and not the ethereum...

edit
Thank you all. I managed to set up a miner for a solo fork ether.

my 330watt x51r2 with XFX RX480 8GB no OC, been running for 24hr+ @24Mh/s https://i.imgur.com/4yQppQB.jpg

Hi, may I get to know about your GPU driver for rx 480? I'm not sure if 15.12 is compatible with it.

I have been trying to use Ethermine with Claymore dual 4.7, with no luck. There is probably something obvious I am missing.

1) When I use the supplies start.bat, it starts and submits shares, if I add a worker (test123), the worker shows up in stats.

2) When I change Eth-address in startup.bat to my own, I get error message that dev fee is not supported on pool and that I have to use the -allpools 1 switch.

3) When I ad the -allpools 1 switch to my bat I get only rejected shares from pool and my worker never shows up.

Is the ethermine pool no longer supported, although the OP says so? Anyone who get this working with 4.7 and can share their .bat?

I am currently on miningpoolhub, but I get rather low payout, and my miners keep disconnecting and reconnecting. I think this messes up the difficulty or something, cause I am getting low yields, or simply the downtime is the problem. Is it only me having problem with miningpoolhub?

Thx

If u have problem with ur bat then show how it looks exactly. Otherwise its pointless guessing. Like maybe ur address is not complete and miner thinks its a username.

my rig : 6 X R9 290 / asrock z97 / i3 4170 / EVGA 1600 G2 / Win7 (but I tried 8.1 and server 2008 too)

windows detect all my GPU but Device Manager say 2 aren't working & AMD installer install correct on 4 of the 6 GPU but Radeon settings say no devices and wont open.  Huh
Claymore's dual Miner work fine with only 4 GPU but can't control OC at all + he does not even detect my 2 other R9  Sad

Hi Claymore - any updates on ETA for the new version that includes the 2nd coin option? Thanks

If I provided you good and useful info or just a smile to your day, consider sending me merit points to further validate this Bitcointalk account ~ useful for future account recovery...

Windows 7 by default cannot install driver for more than 4 amd gpu, not to worry easy fix is to use this mod: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=712228.0
Run as admin select force, modify registry and reboot options. Note only run after u have installed driver, any change to drivers will need u to re-run the mod.

Which Claymore version is best Huh

New miner, was running on version 4.1 for a few days, didnt realize. So upgraded to the 4.7 Version, Temps drop by about 10 c on each GPU however the share rate dropped by over half so went to Version 4.6. So now im getting around 10 shares per 10mins. Goa run this for 24hrs see how it goes.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated .

Running 3 GPU's:  Sapphires (2 R9 290 standards & 1 R9 290 Tri X) getting 84.5 on average....

On looking at the numbers, think i was getting more return rate on shares on the 4.1 version however did run alot hotter....

Not sure but since I believe 4.7 came out after the soft fork and it has the DOS vulnerability I think I may try 4.6 beta myself I still have that version archived.

The miner from Claymore has nothing to do with the geth soft fork. You can use any version without problem.

Yes should have of course, it was on one of my miners and I did not have access to it when I wrote. However, now its solved, really stupid. The .bat was a .sh  which came from a Linux box which I started to edit  and I was playing with a Win7 machine => wrong line breaks => all crap in windows cmd ...

Thanks for the reply

Default eth intensity was lowered since v 4.1 from 16-8 this would account for lower temps.

@Claymore:

What is duration of 390X GPU round when -dcri is set 8 and 16? I still can't decide what value is better. 16 makes higher hashrate, but increases some losses due to job changes. You estimated it as 1% but with what pool and rig hashrate (if they matter at all)? I think the GPU round starts when new block is found (that is, every 14 seconds), but what is the round time with both settings? I want to prove myself that 8 is better :-)

In short, is -ethi 8 still better than -ethi 16 in the long run, despite the hashrate reported?

there`s something about mining EXP i cant figure out.

some rigs do EXP fine, but others hang and freeze (needing hard reboot).

same gpus, win7, same memory, same drivers...  Huh Huh
