Or better put these setting in environment variables.
setx command puts them into environment variables. Unlike set (that puts them for current process and child processes only), setx puts them into a global environment and saves in the Registry. So any process started later will use them even after reboot.

Actually I don't know who and why first put them with setx - I see no reason to change global environment for local task (miner). Simple set is enough and it doesn't affect other programs.

Is there a way to put them back to Windows default?

Yes: http://ss64.com/nt/setx.html
Delete registry key/value.

Actually, as I just read, setting them for the first time does NOT change current environment (only new processes), so it was even more stupid using them in a batch file just for the miner.

There's an easier way

Right click on start-->choose System-->click Advanced system settings on the left-->click Environment Variables-->Edit or Delete the variables right there

How about eth hashrates for every card in monitor just like temps.
+1

Added as option, just wait a bit for new version.

Please read Readme and FAQ in the first post of this thread before asking any questions, probably the answer is already there.

And it's not very good fan algo control by miner. Trixx auto fan control works much smoother. For example it stable with 75 degree and 41% fan with Trixx. Your's goes much higher to cooling down GPU and then much lower when temp is far from 75 degree. So it's go up and down too much.

As i understand right automatix trix control works with preemptive mechanism. For example if temp target 75 so if it's now 74 the fans goes up a bit and it's looks smoother.
Do you realize that Unwinder (who is behind Rivatuner, Afterburner and Trixx), had worked for more than 10 years polishing the core of the program And fan control mechanism?

As for Polaris, fairly sure most miners will work on them - they are base on same same GCN architecture

Miner #4 quit showing temp and fan speed. Mining Speed still holding steady. Sapphire 380x card and I have restarted the rig but no luck! What can I do to get it back?

Just saw this!!
AMD's Radeon RX 480 brings high-end graphics to the masses for just $200

4GB memory at 150 Watts per card!

Please I hope it will work with this miner!!!

how do I disable only a card, I have 5

-di    GPU indexes, default is all available GPUs. For example, if you have four GPUs "-di 02" will enable only first and third GPUs (#0 and #2).

DEAR Claymore. Please help me.
I use your product since its release.
Since the first version, I could not get 64 Mn from 3 r380x card that shows your miner. The maximum that I have received is 55 MH at different pools.
I changed the setting from 4 th to 16 -ethi, setting -dcri from 30 to 60 in different versions
I tested with different settings for 24 hours or more a bad result
the last configuration
-ethi 4
-esm 0
-dcri 47
-powlim 15
-cclock 1100,1150,1150
-mclock 1500

-epool eth.poolto.be:8547
-ewal .....................

-dpool stratum + tcp: //yiimp.ccminer.org: 4252
-dwal ............................................
Hashrate on eth - 57 mh
Hashrate on dcr - 1600 mh

what is the problem? Teach what to do?
 Thank you.

p.s.
I am willing to pay for an individual consultation for my video card settings

On my test rigs I use miner with default settings and on pool I see about 4-5% less than miner shows (my hashrate is about 800MH/s if I turn on all rigs). Miner shows "raw" hashrate, 2% is devfee in dual mode, other 2-3% can be related to the connection quality, current pool status or/and may be something else. Also, from my calculations miner loses about 0.5-1% because it cannot drop current GPU round when it gets new job, it is related to "-ethi" value, so I made it 8 by default instead of 16.
But if on pool you see 10% less than miner shows all the time - something is wrong with pool, your connection to internet or your hashrate is low and you did not wait enough time to see average hashrate for 24 hours. Usually I use ethpool for tests.
DEAR Claymore!
Thank you for your response and your miner.
I changed to a pool and received average hashrate 67 Mh, the current 58-78 Mh
-ethi 8
-dcri 50
-powlim 15
-cclock 1100,1150,1150
-mclock 1500

This is a great job.
Thank you.

I was actually reading that they are based on some new architectures & technologies, but I don't understand most of the terms, hence my question / curiosity Smiley

Dear friends!

Total amount of memory in MSI HD 6970 card is 2 Gb, but  CL_DEVICE_MAX_MEM_ALLOC_SIZE is 512Mb.
Is it possible by some way to put DAG-file in memory of the card?  Or this is quite dead for Etrhereum?

Thank you!

There is a thread in the altcoin mining section. You can find the 6970 can be used for mining Etheruem.

Hi guys. Can someone help me to detect where the shoe pinches?
I have two similar PC's with almost same motherboards (msi g31tm-p35 and msi g31tm-p21, they look the same, even inscriptions on board N1996 MS-7529 ver. 1.6) with same graphic cards on board (powercolor radeon r9 380x).
First one starts great, second one (even when I've changed graphic cards one to another) starting 1 time after clear windows is installed, shows 4gb video RAM and says "cannot create DAG file". Closing and restarting miner results in app crash (btw it shows 3gb video RAM somehow). And all next miner restarts shows me app crashes. Even after drivers uninstall and clear install. I've tried to flash same BIOS versions to motherboards... no way... that's not the reason... Need some help lol xDDD

Here's first start after clear windows installed (shows 4gb video RAM):

this one works fine:

and this one doesn't:

Windows 10 or 7? Which driver version? I'm using linux but I've read that Windows 10 is problematic unless you rollback to windows 7 nvidia driver. I would suggest you to think about drivers.

Also, are you starting you miners with

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

in the .bat file?

yes, of course.

Increase Windows virtual memory to minimum 16GB and use Cat 15.12

Claymore,

Thank you for your miner. I have 2 requests about the dev fee :
  • Please create an account on coinmine.pl for devfee. I do like MPOS based pools a lot, and it seems there are none in your devfee accounts as of now. I'm getting invalid shares when switching from my pool to the devfee pools
  • Please allow to setup a region for the devfee pools : I'm in europe and my miners are connecting to us1.ethermine.org (terrible ping, +/- 144ms vs 40 ms for eu servers, reported by your miner)

Thats all Smiley

1. Well, then I will have to create accounts on other pools that requires Login.Worker style. Not a good idea. You cannot get invalid shares on your pool due to switching to devfee pool. If you get invalid shares during devfee mining, it is not related to your earnings. It can be related to devfee only.
2. Same thing - bad ping to devfee pool is not related to your earnings. It can be related to devfee only.

Please read Readme and FAQ in the first post of this thread before asking any questions, probably the answer is already there.

v4.5:

- improved "-tstop" option - if it turned off wrong card (see "KNOWN ISSUES" section in readme about possible GPU order issue), it will close miner in 30 seconds.
- added more statistics for "s" key.
- added "-logfile" option.
- fixed issue with "-mclock" and "-cclock" options for some cards.
- a few minor improvements.
- bug fixes.
- EthMan: added more info - number of restarts, number of failovers, number of invalid shares.
- EthMan: added option to display detailed statistics about GPU hashrates.
- EthMan: added command "Execute reboot.bat".
- EthMan: added command "Edit config.txt".
- EthMan: added "GPU warning temperature" option.
- EthMan: if some table columns are hidden, webserver won't show them too.
