1861  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale Betting Strategy on BlackJack, how effective it is? on: August 08, 2022, 02:59:23 PM
Very effective, as long as everything just keeps going according to plan. But then the inevitable happens, you lose 7 bets in a row. Knowing that you started with a $1 bet, that's a decent amount. 1,2,4,8,16,32,64 already lost together. Then you have to bet 128$ the 8th time to be able to win only 1$. Then you realize it's crazy. Again, it could work but you need high table limits and be able to absorb 10 losses in a row by continuing to gamble. It may happen that you have lost even 12 times in a row and you are still betting to only win 1$. Not logical actually.

This is very true. Like what I usually comment when people ask for a strategy, the martingale system comes into mind. But the only limitation comes with the amount of capital that you are willing to shoulder in case of a losing streak. As you all know, the higher the losing streak, the higher the money that you have to bet in order to neutralize you losses in the given bet.

Personally, the martingale strategy works best for me. My brother also used the same strategy but there was a time where he had to bet like $500 in order to recover all of his previous losses. At the end of the day, this strategy is not for the faint hearted.
1862  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Running household expenses with gambling on: August 08, 2022, 12:00:35 PM
Is it possible that we can run our household expenses with gambling ?

I am asking for those people who don't have any skill or job ?

I do not see this idea feasible in the long-run given the nature of gambling that is highly unpredictable.

When we mean by household expenses, this include everything from your food, lodging, electric bills, and all other monthly expenses. These type of expenses are what we call running expenses since they consistently incur every month. If you attempt paying them with something that is unpredictable, chances are that you will incur more obligations and credit in the long-run.

Quote
The lesson learned was that it is better to move closer to what is new to us than to be condemning it from afar. Can you imagine that despite having enough money to invest in the cryptocurrency between 2019 -2021, I was adamant that I wouldn't because I believed Bitcoin aids legalities like trafficking, money laundering, terrorism, activities of drug barons, and many more. I forgot to think that as it has its advantages, it also has its disadvantages, no system works perfectly.

Thanks to the present-day awareness, development and regulations that make it clear that Bitcoin is not as porous as I thought. 95% of my only transactions are now crypto-based.

I love to read your stories about Bitcoin adoption too!

Ahh yes, this is how media stigmatized the cryptocurrency that we love due to the recent issues associated with it.

It is no surprise that BTC has been tagged as the way for money launderers to move their money and for people to use it as the main currency under the dark web. But in reality, it could be any currency! Heck, you can even accomplish those illegal stuff with fiat also. I do think media played a significant role of twisting the real image of BTC, disregarding the innovation behind the technology.

Good thing is, more and more people are starting to realize its positive than the negative effects. More countries are starting to adapt it as part of their payment system and as their legal tender.
1864  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Japanese Animation Slot Machines on: August 07, 2022, 11:31:30 PM
What do you think about these japanese slot machines?
Do you like them?
Would you gamble on them?

I mean, I would definitely try them out as this idea is somehow of an innovation towards your conventional gambling slot machines. But if you are asking if I would get addicted to them, chances are that I will not. The problem with slots revolve around the probability of winning the prize money, which is absolutely low. You would definitely cost more money in the process than to win the actual prize by probability.

Though that may be the case, the innovation introduced would definitely bring and attract more users into slots. This seemingly harmless addition is potentially dangerous in making people getting addicted by introducing anime aspects of it in your gambling games.
1865  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Whales Store Their BTC on: August 07, 2022, 05:04:32 PM
Big players like Michael Saylor, the president of EI, or even some exchanges, i have been wondering how these guys store their BTC, their solutions, and their hardware storage.

Do any insiders know something? BTC

Most likely they will store their BTCs in multiple hardware wallets which are inside some safe locks which are closely monitored and secured. Imagine, if you are an owner of tens to hundreds to thousands of BTCs, you would definitely invest into securing your wallets safety. Unlike banks who store your moneys inside a safe lock, you have the sole responsibility of depositing and keeping them safe until you use them for a specific transaction.

You would almost find it impossible to hear that a person is keeping their BTCs inside a respective exchange due to the nature of it being scammed in the past.
1866  Economy / Economics / Re: The impact of Russian and Ukrain war on world economy on: August 07, 2022, 03:56:09 PM
...what is your thinking about the collapsing of world economy with highing inflation.
It's a difficult situation, but not to the extent of collapsing the world economy.
The lingering war would have lasting effects, as it was unexpected and many countries who were heavily dependent on either Russia or Ukraine got hit hard, and it would take a while, but they would recover and adjust.

The lockdown crisis is also a factor in the falling economies and would also take a while to recover from.

Not to the collapsing of world economy totally I mean here but many countries economy dropping with high rise of the inflation because things increased as the war continue. If this continue to happen it will get into recession and some countries will want bail out from international community and countries.

I personally felt the inflation here in the Philippines- oil prices have increased drastically this year and food issues have been an ongoing concern on below-average median households. Unfortunately, the poor kept getting poorer and the rich are getting richer in this economy. With lots of opportunities being withheld, unemployment rates are slowly increasing in the country with job opportunities lessened.

The war between Ukraine and Russia will have a crippling effect over the years. We might feel the effects of inflation but with the recent announcement that Russia will cut its oil supply, expect prices to increase in the market again.
1867  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do Online Gambling Streamers Ever Get Addicted to Gambling? on: August 07, 2022, 03:45:19 PM
I think they can become gambling addicts if they can't resist or they feel very challenged if they lose and want to win,
indeed they were originally funded by the casino that used them, but I'm sure they will always use the money from their salary to promote the casino itself
like the saying "you can because you're used to it" and because it's normal that makes them addicted to gambling

I think it depends on the streamer if they are affiliated with the gambling website or if they are really gambling as a whole.

There are streamers on CSGO where they are affiliated with some gambling companies that sponsor their case openings. I have watched a ton and due to this sponsorship, they have become addicted to gambling on skins (this is purely on e-sports).

I have yet to encounter a normal streamer who suddenly promoted a gambling website and became addicted to it. It is most probably that they are doing such promotion due to the money that was offered for their exposure and advertisement.
1868  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1xbit dispute on: August 07, 2022, 03:32:59 PM
these 1xbit scammers they have a big advertising machine all over the internet and in many countries, if you pay attention you will see that they are accused of having many other scam sites, they keep denying it, but the truth is that these scammers are very active in this matter Of marketing. they managed to clean their image on other review sites and I think this is because they bribe the review sites and with good image on the review sites they are managing to have new customers unfortunately, and here on the forum they have a subscription campaign that continues to give more chance of them having customers

Interesting, so 1xbit is a conglomerate of various gambling websites? Since this may be the case, they might cloak themselves with seemingly genuine websites but in reality, they are rotten to the core. This is somehow dangerous as they literally have the funds to create tens to hundreds of gambling websites and scam away their users with their unspoken TOS amendments and withholding of funds.

I just hope that people would absolutely stay away from all gambling affiliates 1xbit is connected to. If you truly want to lose your money not because of gambling but because of mismanagement, then be my guest and gamble on their website.
1869  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Another KYC requirements ng coins.ph? on: August 07, 2022, 12:08:00 AM
Akala ko po ay okay na, pero today. I received a notice of account closure.

Gusto kong magmura, kung hindi ko siguro ginawa iyong enhance verification eh malilimit lang ung account ko.
Ngayon ay sarado na daw. Non-appealable, sabi din, to protect the integrity of their procedures, they will not be able to provide a thorough explanation of the reason my account is closed. They just said to refer to their ToS.

This sucks.. a lot.

This really sucks grabe. Like in a similar situation, si coins.ph limited my withdrawals from p400,000 monthly to only p25,000 kasi daw involved account ko sa isang gambling establishment, which is prohibited under their TOS. Sa sobrang strict ni coins.ph sa mga ganitong bagay, yung mga nakalagay sa TOS nila is very restrictive to the point na ikaw mismo na lang iiwas gamitin services nila.

Good thing when I asked dito sa forum for alternatives, ang dami agad nag reply. While nasanay nga tayo gamitin ang coins.ph, ito rin ang magiging downfall nila dahil napaka restrictive na ng services nila. I just hope that everything is okay on your end bro. Good luck sayo!
1870  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Concern over market fluctuations affecting a 5year bitcoin investment plan. on: August 06, 2022, 11:45:30 PM
What are some steps I need to take, to ensure I protect my investment from possible loss over this 5year duration? Is the intent to commit to a monthly investment overseeing this period, likely to backfire in any way? Should I be scared of a market crash incident?

With the volatile nature of cryptocurrencies, I suggest ditching the idea of "leaving your coins and not touching them" and sell them as soon as you hit the profit. The good thing about volatility is you can take advantage of multiple short-term investments in a span of a relatively short amount of time compared to any investment platform.

Though I also recommend HODLing, if you are really concerned of price fluctuations in the 5-year span, then better do short-term investments and sell it once profits arises. At this kind of method, you avoid losing more money and earn lots. The only downside is, you better observe and check regularly the price of BTCs in order to maximize profit.
1871  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Looking for best casino on: August 06, 2022, 11:34:27 PM
Hello forum member,
I actually new in Cryptocurrency gambling. I made a few bet on sport's by fiat on 1xbet I'm also seeing scam accusation against 1xbit there is a similarity on there name I wanna know are they connect ?
I also wanna know the which Cryptocurrency based casino is best for me ? Because I saw lots of casino here .

Like what I previously mentioned, what makes 1xbit so popular that people really attempt to play on their gambling website? There are tons of better gambling websites that have positive feedback and better management, yet people still play and risk their funds in 1xbit.

Since you asked this question OP, I recommend any gambling website that is currently being promoted in a campaign signature, with the exception of 1xbit. The fact that these gambling websites have a dedicated fund allocated for advertising means that there is a stable flow of cash on their website.

Check at the gambling thread for more information and avoid gambling at 1xbit at all cost.
1872  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1xbit dispute on: August 06, 2022, 11:23:34 PM
OP did you check their reputation in the forum or anywhere else before you decide to play there ?

I mean just look at this account https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2835882, it has been red tagged to oblivion at this point. so sorry for what happened to you but you really should be more carefull next time.
Aubrey did not check anything concerning the reputation of the group that is supporting because if assume it makes a research concerning the group i think that the group supposed to have more views and more positive suggestions. But i believe that Bitcoin and people who plays gambling in this forum doesn't not support any thing from 1xbit

While trust-ratings in the forum can be subject to abuse, a profile like 1xbit that has tons of negative feedback and evidence of scamming are conclusive evidences that everyone must see to avoid losing money from them. I find 1xbit too persistent- setting up a campaign signature and attracting more users to promote their scam website.

To be honest, I am really surprised that people still gamble on their website. Based from your experiences, has anyone really tried their gambling website? What is so special about them that people still gamble on their platform despite numerous cases and reports against them?
1873  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Time to Buy or Sell or Hodl? on: August 05, 2022, 11:43:44 PM
Hello,
According to the marketplace, now is the time to Buy or Sell or Hodl?
Any idea welcomed.

Thank you.

Imagine, the decision is truly yours if you want to invest into BTC or not. Think of it this way, its price already reached $60,000 last year. The possibilities are endless especially if you consider this circumstance. The fact that it already happened means that we should not discount the possibility of history repeating itself.

Personally, I would definitely recommend buying and HODLing at the same time until it reaches a certain price that you are comfortable selling. While we all know that BTC is volatile, take advantage of its nature and try to earn a quick profit in this method.
1874  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: taking out a loan for a sports bet (UPDATE) + fixed match on: August 05, 2022, 11:30:53 PM
<snip...>
Anyway, the bet won easily so I couldn't help but feel like I should've taken out the loan... Sad

I do think that you are lucky, considering that you won the sports event by purely basing it on an insider info. Remember, the bet that you are dealing on is so risky that if you were to take out a loan, there is no guarantee that you would win this amount of money even with the insider info.

In gambling, it is always better to be safe than sorry. Preventing a loss is so much better than actually paying for your loan in the event of a loss. Besides, almost all gamblers experience this "paranoia" that they should have betted more money in the process.

1876  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino Games or Gambling Considered Sports, really! on: August 05, 2022, 11:00:08 PM
So, you think that other traditional games where you bet have that status.
What casino games are sports in your country?

In the Philippines, cock fighting has been consistently practiced by by gamblers to the point that it gets televised regularly. Though the game itself is much more of a gamble than a sport, most people view it as such. In addition, the barrier of entrance to participate in betting is easier and regulated by the government itself, which makes it truly a "sport-game" compared to most card gambling games.

Basketball is a sport which is considered the heart of Filipino games. Many of our countrymen play and see the sport as the "main sport" that everybody uses. You would see tons of courts in the streets which are consistently being used by many. As the case may be, betting in official games have been a consistent practice done by many.
1877  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you introduce Bitcoin to people without digital literacy? on: August 05, 2022, 10:32:16 PM
I personally think that this would pose a challenge to explain the basics and fundamentals of cryptocurrencies to someone who has no digital literacy, unless they are seriously keen about learning them.

I remember, I tried explaining BTC to people who first heard it but they soon lost interest during my explanation. You can actually see the that they are not interested and everything just sounded so technical to the point that I even lost myself in the process. But, there are ways in order to at least lessen the burden especially by using non-technical terms and using metaphors to make it bearable.
1878  Economy / Economics / Re: TOPIC: Pros and Cons of saving fiat versus saving Bitcoin in this current econom on: August 05, 2022, 04:28:51 PM
I am doing both, there are rumors of war and an existing one plus all of those health emergencies and that's why I'll be saving cash as well. At the same time, I still have my bitcoins on hold because of my future plans and I believe that this is going to be really profitable more than I've seen it in the past. Despite I'm already in profit, I'm not going to remove that hope of earning more. I'm not that greedy at all but that's part of my investing plan.

Fiat will always be fiat. While its value may decrease/increase in the given circumstances surrounding the world, it is considered widely by all countries to have a value that is accepted all throughout.

The problem with cryptocurrencies is its nature and acceptance. Its value is highly volatile in a way that it can vary from time-to-time depending on several factors. Another problem surrounding is its acceptance by countries. China has started prohibiting its use and the biggest exchange in India has closed due to strict regulations and implementations from their government.
1879  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐️Share Your Winnings Story. Why do people gamble?⭐️ on: August 04, 2022, 04:57:23 PM
Generally, people gamble due to the hope of winning the jackpot in a relatively short amount of time and resources spent. All of us have that dream where we gamble like $1 and win like millions of dollars in the process.

Personally, I also have my fair share of winnings when I used to gamble with my brother. I remember, I mainly focused on gambling csgo and dota2 skins on dota2lounge.com since keys were the main currency in that game. I won like $100 worth of keys and lost 90% of it when I gambled them away and experienced a losing streak.
1880  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you stop gamble if your girl friend insists ? on: August 04, 2022, 03:38:03 PM
Many people obey their girl friends more than anyone else.

What if their girl friend insists you to stop gambling  Huh Will you Stop  Tongue

This depends if the actual intention of my girlfriend is for the greater and common good.

Normally, people follow their girlfriends due to the lack of control over the relationship- men sometimes blindly follow their girlfriends without even asking the reason why. Though this may be the case, if the intention of your girlfriend is for the well-being of your future, then you must consider her side and reason. But, if your girlfriend wants you to stop gambling due to "personal reasons" that she will not even disclose, then it is up to your discretion if you want to follow her or not.
