1981  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to cash out crypto payment on: July 02, 2022, 03:35:40 PM
A software company want to pay me in USDC but I dont want to sign with KYC , I dont want to put my ID online is there a way to create a USDC wallet to receive payments and cash out directly ?

Thanks

Since you want to prevent KYC, I suggest selling your BTCs via p2p transactions between you and some other person. Though this mode may be risky, I highly recommend using an escrow to utilize the transaction to make it relatively safe and secured at the same time.

If abovementioned procedure fails, then I suggest creating an account in your respective local exchanges. Though KYC documents are needed, you can still create an account but you are faced with certain deposit/withdrawal limitations.
1982  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Strong Hands Are Buying on: July 02, 2022, 02:28:47 PM
I think it is pretty normal for FUD to arise given the fact that most investors have released more than hundreds to thousands of dollars on this investment. The slightest increase/decrease on its price can mean millions of gain/loss on their end. Though FUDs are the normal occurrence of an investor, it must really understood that this opportunity must be taken advantage of.

Back in 2017, I started my journey in which the price of BTC was around $4,000. Lots of people were speculating that BTC is a 'bubble' that might pop soon. Though this may be the case, its price continued to rise which made at least everyone happy.
1983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin dump have any impact on gamblers ? on: July 02, 2022, 01:29:55 PM
Gamblers around the world use crypto and bitcoin to play the bets. Do they really care if the bitcoin prices dump hard? I know traders are directly impacted by this dump, and investors are also in panic but what about gamblers. Their motive is to play gamble and they may not be a concerned if the price of bitcoin is declining sharply?

I do not think so but the impact could be on the amount of BTC they can wager.

Obviously, as the prices of BTC start to go down, more and more BTCs would be circulated to reach the current value they must bet. But people who bet using BTC at this time should definitely consider the investment aspect of it given that its price may reached another ATH of $60,000 within the next couple of months or even by next year. That is why, I always advise people to gamble using dollars or fiat instead of using cryptocurrencies.
1984  Economy / Gambling / Re: Disgusting beitsler on: July 02, 2022, 11:51:23 AM
Disgusting bitsler, played there for years...i swear they rigged my account after i did cash out from their fcking faucet(, not even faucet, its fucking nitro WHICH I WAS FUCKING MORE THAN OUGHT TO HAVE) well they rigged my account after...so im done with them... 225 bets bets 6.6x dice payout reds, 185 6.1x dice payout and shit like that...ye tell me its unlucky. You are BITSLER shit then. Well i had some few trx and they wouldn't let me cashout until i wrote to their fucking rigged support. DO NOT PLAY AT THAT CASINO UNTIL U WANT TO GIVE OUT MONEY TO THEM . ITS SCAM

Again, these kinds of post should not be taken seriously without substantiating any proof to the contrary.

Bitsler is one of those online gambling websites that have been around for years. Generally, online gambling websites should create and maintain a reputation wherein users would trust their credibility and business. That is why, having an active customer support is one of those key functions in becoming a successful online gambling company.

With your allegation, one must provide proof and evidence to establish a proper complaint. Have you talked to their customer service? Have you checked if you violated their TOS that warranted them to withhold some of your funds?
1985  Economy / Economics / Re: Irrelevance of Education in Nigeria. on: July 01, 2022, 11:58:48 PM
The adage (school na scam)by most Nigerian is becoming realistic.for a country to grow and develop,it most invest in is human capital.presently.universities, polytechnics and colleges are on strike.the educational system of the country is very poor.

Another problem is high unemployment rate: most graduate that are are qualified and ready to work, are not employed which is decrease the rate at which people go to school.
With the poor educational system of the country, skills acquisition and empowerment is also low which worsened the situation.

By a mile, education is indeed the best investment that a person can have. A person may be rich but education is something that is innate- one that cannot be taken away from you and one that can yield you constant reassurance and security of excelling in the future.

While that may be the case on your country, you still have to support your fellow citizens and countrymen. With this time where prices are high, constant support and help are needed. Even if you think that such people are taking advantage of their education, still, the relevance of education is so high to the point that such is considered a privilege.
1986  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Things to do to keep Bitcointalk safe and to improve its reputation on: July 01, 2022, 11:53:06 PM
I appreciate your time and effort for posting these important reminders, OP.

Generally, this forum is already big as it is considered the biggest cryptocurrency forum to date. Since this is the case, some people take advantage of this medium in order to create various scams and hacks in the forum which prompted some of our users to personally report all suspicious projects and/or links to certain boards for immediate action.

From my experience alone, I could say that you must really remain curious and vigilant in order to keep yourself safe from all the potential scams that constantly lurk here.
1987  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you be in favor of Gold or Bitcoin !! on: July 01, 2022, 06:25:13 PM

In any case I believe that comparing bitcoin with other stuff that don't even fall in the same category as bitcoin (the currency) is wrong. Both gold and bitcoin serve different purposes than one another. For example you can't really use gold to pay for stuff easily but bitcoin is designed to do exactly that.

As you say, the comparison probably won't be quite right in every respect, fiat, gold, bitcoin, each with its own characteristics and used for different purposes. But people compare because they want to prove that bitcoin is good, it includes the features of gold and fiat. So if bitcoin is widely used then it is considered as all-in-one solution, it can be both a storage asset and a payment method.

I actually agree with you- it does not mean that one incurs value overtime that means that they are on an equal footing with each other.

People tend to compared and conclude that BTC is the digital gold of this era. While that may be true in terms of inflation, their innate nature is different. While both may be non-renewable resources, gold has a natural intrinsic value; while the price of BTC is primarily derived from what people are willing to pay for it.

Again, fiat, gold, and cryptocurrencies may have different purposes but all of them have value.
1988  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CHESS] FIDE Candidates Chess Tournament 2022 on: July 01, 2022, 10:00:26 AM
Thank you very much for creating this thread! This is badly needed given the fact that the reputation of chess has been steadily increasing over the years.

With that being said, Nepo has been dominating the candidates again this year. He plays so dynamic and fundamental- even if his opponents are very well prepared, he seems to create ideas on the board which makes further complications.

While there may have been speculations and news regarding Carlsen's withdrawal of the WCC match, I doubt that he will hand it out easily to Nepo, if the latter would win this year again. Though I was specifically rooting for Caruana and Rapport, seeing a rematch between Carlsen and Nepo would still be a fun thing to watch!
1989  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons why people avoid KYC in gambling casino ? on: July 01, 2022, 08:35:14 AM
It's been observed that gamblers prefer to play on casino which do not enforce KYC. Well, let's discuss what are the main reasons that they do not want to show their identity and gamble anonymously.

They don't trust the casino as the casino might misuse the kyc documents or the gamblers want to gamble without telling anyone that they are the gamblers,  gambling is illegal in their region or religion and they want to hide their identity or there could be any other solid reason?

KYC means "know-your-customer." This heavily implies that gambling websites require your personal information, whether it be your name and addresses, or more.

What is the danger behind this feature and why do gamblers avoid this? Well for instance, gambling companies exist on the internet. Since data is privately stored in their system, there is always that risk of leaking your personal information.

When your personal information gets leaked, everyone including their family members or friends are placed in a position of potential danger of misrepresentation. Hackers may use such personal information for their gain and advantage.
1990  Economy / Gambling / Re: Alternatives to 1xbit on: July 01, 2022, 08:04:56 AM
Before I answer the questions you put, I must inform you that you definitely did the right choice of RESEARCHING a certain gambling website before investing your funds into them. 1xbit is apparently famous in this forum due to the alleged scam accusations (though MOST have proven to be true). Unfortunately, the campaign is still being advertised here as negative trusted members applied for such advertising campaign signature.

Which casinos are overall loved around here?

Generally, almost every casino under the gambling boards are loved. If you see an active gambling board, most likely they have an active customer support service and playerbase.

Which one is safe to deposit my money on?

In adherence to my answer above, I generally put my funds in blackjack.fun gambling website due to its overall simplicity and design. You can actively chat people there and see all the rankings of the top wagered amount.

Which one is your personal favorite?

I would say that blackjack.fun, duelbits, and fortunejack remain to be my favorite gambling websites. These gambling websites, especially FJ, have been around in the forum for years now. They also have an active campaign signature which implies that they continue to be active and profitable on both the player and the owner.
1991  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The fear of Negative trust and Ban on: June 30, 2022, 04:21:57 PM
If people won't do shit that might result to their account getting negative trust and being banned -- you'll not worry about these kinds of things.

I say shits like defaulting a loan, plagiarism, merit/account selling, joining campaigns with prior history of scam, spamming and all other self explanatory issues that you think is not right. As long as you aren't doing these things, you are passively contributing to the betterment of the forum.

I wholeheartedly agree with you.

Unfortunately, there are newbies who primarily join this forum with an evil intent already in mind. They tend to apply for various of non-collateral loans in which they are not completely qualified for. Despite all the rules that have been posted and even warnings, these newbies still tend to violate the said rules which result to the banning of their accounts.

Again, just do not do anything that will get you into trouble. If you have a clear conscience with a willing mind to learn, then nothing will ever happen to your account.
1992  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To build your Professionalism on casino on: June 29, 2022, 11:58:46 PM
While the rules and principles that you provided are the ideal attitude when it comes to gambling, everything is all easier said than done especially if you are the one suffering from addiction already. When a person suffers from it, they tend to forget all their morals and principles since what matters to them is that they are satisfied with their bets.

Though these principles are really useful and supportive in nature, I just hope that gamblers snap and realize that they are indeed suffering from one. Most of the time, they deny that they are suffering from addiction in the first place.
1993  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Phil Mickelson Opens Up About Losing MILLIONS From Gambling on: June 29, 2022, 11:48:32 PM
This is brutal loss since he is a world class golfer that won many championship in the past. He loss all his savings that he earn on his career and I think the pain will not gonna easily go even with therapy during that times. I suffer too a massive loss in the past and I’m still remembering it until now. I don't watch the full video of his statement but I’m sure he is ok now since he is sharing now his depressing life experiences.

Losing 100$ is already painful so I really feel the pain on this kind of video.

The risk and reward scenario is what captivates gamblers more into spending their resources into this activity. Unfortunately, when rich people are involved into this game, they pour at least majority of their resources into a single night which can yield them a profit/loss of around millions.

Imagine, building a career for years and years only to destroy it into an activity which involved a small amount of satisfaction. With tons of stories and millionaires suffering from gambling addiction, I just hope this becomes an eye opener to everyone about its destructive effects.
1994  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: When to take profit? on: June 29, 2022, 11:28:32 PM
I am thinking of taking out my initial investment when I double my money and just leaving the profit to see what returns I can get long term. Is that a common way or is it best to just take small amounts at a time?

You have to keep in mind that investments are money in the sense that you can cash them out whenever you completely feel the need to do so. Let us say you have profited at least 10% from your investments and you badly need the cash for some emergency purpose, then feel free to do so.

Doubling your money from an investment is literally the dream scenario of every investor but this kind of event rarely happens. Especially that cryptocurrencies are high risk investments, you can either take that 20% profit or lose 50%, or the other way around.
1995  Economy / Economics / Re: How Will Investing Help the Economy of a Country on: June 29, 2022, 11:08:11 PM
Investing is Widespread now in the Society such that the Inability of not Investing, is Paving a room for not Benefitting from the Outcome.
And Right now Investing in Crypto is a yardstick of measurement and has created an opportunity that's reliable and trusted..
But I really can't tell how thus Investing in The Economy will help one's Country.

When you invest in a certain mechanism, cashflow is liquid- this means that money is going well and being utilized in such technology. For example, if investment firms enter the economy of a country, they are dumping and adding their respective currencies to that country in which it is beneficial in terms of financing, etc.

Think about it this way- when you invest, your funds are earning on their own. If you store your money inside a safe box, the value will not increase (though it depends upon inflation). But when you invest, you are somehow doubling your funds on their own.
1996  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How I started Bitcoin investing on: June 29, 2022, 10:05:14 PM
That’s how I started my bitcoin journey. How did yours begin?

I remember back in 2017 where my friend in college introduced me this forum. At first, I was hesitant to join but when he showed me his actual funds and his bank account, I was convinced that there was something going on with this forum.

As a college student, earning money at the expense of working online is a big deal. Given that I also live in a third world country, competition is tough and any amount of money is seen as a necessity. I quickly learned the nature and foundations of cryptocurrency during the whole year of 2017 and I was able to participate into dozens of campaign signatures.

I was able to earn a hefty sum of BTC and I quickly converted them to cash to purchase some college books and materials. Though I would have profited even more if I HODL my coins, the necessity of my situation compelled me to do such thing and I regretted nothing about it.
1997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An alternative to gambling with money. on: June 29, 2022, 02:32:44 PM
What is your opinion on Fake money gambling apps, do you recognize the potential I think they have to assist in reducing the number of gamblers who loose real money?

This is actually a great alternative for people who are looking to at least play a game that simulates their gambling experience without the need of having to pay real cash.

The only problem with this kind of method is that its scope does not cover all kinds of gamblers. The reason on why gambling is so addictive is because of the added adrenaline due to the wager that the person betted. In addition, there are also some gamblers who do such activity primarily for profit. I guess if the game can introduce some sort of in-game money where the same adrenaline can be mimicked, then this alternative would be more effective.
1998  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips on how I controlled my Gambling addiction. on: June 29, 2022, 01:43:57 PM
Identifying that you have a problem in the first place is a great initial step. I think you should discuss in more detail how you have become now and not just saying that you stopped and that’s it. Addiction is very hard to stop and that’s a challenge for everyone. It’s not an easy task to do so maybe you can share a more specific detail to what are the things that you have experienced that made it hard. Maybe then people can realize WHY it’s important to stop.

That is actually true- knowing that you are suffering from an addiction is one thing; but the actual execution of a plan in order to address such issue is another.

When a person is involved in something that is addicting in nature, they tend to rationalize their behaviour saying that what they are doing is entirely normal. But once they admit to themselves that they are indeed suffering, they have two (2) options: either they continue; or they address it. If you choose the latter, then the chances of one recovering from such addiction is greater.

There are tons of reviews, guides, tips, and even videos on how to overcome addiction but recognizing that you are suffering from it is the very first big leap of faith that someone has to do that will open so many new doors to recovery.
1999  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why can't bitcoin be based on something that has value? on: June 25, 2022, 11:59:23 PM
The price that derives the value of BTC is the law of demand and supply. In addition, with its inflationary and limited supply, the price is something that increases as more supply is being mined. Though many investors have frowned upon the lack of intrinsic value BTC has compared to gold (which is considered as a precious and non-renewable resource), the price of BTC is what many have took advantage in order to invest either for long-term or short-term.

Though I do understand where you are coming from OP, I guess it's better if you just focus on the investment aspect of it.
2000  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is BTC transaction so slow on: June 25, 2022, 11:56:24 PM
I am probably going to get nailed for this but its the truth, BTC transaction sucks🤦‍♀️ its slow as a snail, I am trying go send some bitcoin to exchange using my trust wallet and it's just there over 5 minutes, imagine been in haste in a store nearby trying to pay with BTC using your wallet and this happens, you are forced to wait around till the transaction go through, not a good feeling at all.

This has something to do with the fees associated with your transaction. The more people that use the network, the more delay would be incurred. As you increased the fees, then the priority also increases as miners would be able to prefer your transaction. Like what some suggested, you may opt to convert your BTC to some certain altcoins and you may transfer such to your wallet (if they offer altcoins on your wallet).

Remember that all of the transactions are posted on a ledger, so that means that the confirmations would take at least some time before they all become valid and confirmed.
