2061  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Something Like This Happen To You on: June 07, 2022, 10:49:12 PM
We experienced unexpected events or moments in gambling like this one, you are calling it off a day in a session then you're suddenly on a winning streak thinking that it's your time to get back what you've lost will you go or will you stop and come back the next day.

I'm sometimes tempted to continue but I know you cannot beat the house, so most of the time I just call it a day and just wished that tomorrow or next time it's my lucky day. What about you what's your take.

The House will always have the better edge in a gambling casino or establishment. Since these casinos are considered as businesses, people would at least provide a slight advantage to their business over the gamblers in order to at least earn profit. This is also the reason on why gambling is very popular and profitable but it requires a tremendous amount of capital in order to operate the business.

Personally, I like what you said that no matter what happens, one cannot just simply "defeat the house." I think this must serve as a reminder not just for me but to anyone who experiences winning/losing streak during their time. This must also be a warning that further gambling can either make/break your winnings in the process.

Hello shasan, it's me again! I'm asking once again for a non-collateral loan which I would pay a week from now or as soon as we receive the proceeds this week from our signature campaign. There are some unexpected bills that I have to pay which compels me to ask again for your loan!
2063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: the beggars in cryptocurrency casinos on: June 07, 2022, 10:33:18 PM
<...snip....>
I would like you to share your opinions on this topic, how do you handle this issue of beggars in crypto casinos.

The answer is, you don't.

The problem with people who ask for bonuses and money in casinos is that they will not stop as long as you continue to win. The more you win, the more that these people would follow and bug you around ask for money. So that best way in order to deal with these people is just to ignore them and move on from them.

To be honest, it bugs me that your "so-called friends" only approach you whenever you win your games. I think this is the sign to cut them off completely from your life as they are taking advantage of your money, OP.
2064  Economy / Economics / Re: Share your Money management strategy on: June 04, 2022, 11:53:18 PM
I've been working closely in taking good observation on my investments and trading strategies i use, i keep to ensuring my cost limit is maintained within the profit line, i just don't invest but i took from the profit earned to reinvest on another turn, I don't also don't lend money to make an investment but rather make sure its from my past savings, I don't exceed my budget plan on investment and i make buys when the price is bearish and make sale of my coins when the price runs bullish

I think when it comes to money management, proper budgeting and allocation for each expenditure should be taken into account. Managing money does not equate to purchasing different cryptocurrencies at once even it may look like you are diversifying your portfolio. By managing your money properly, you know inherent nature, the research, and the background of each cryptocurrency that would support and help you when to cash them out in case of a contingency plan.

While the plans and techniques provided by OP are very useful, it is important to note that managing money does not equate to success in every way but it definitely contributes to proper allocation and expenditure.
2065  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what countries have the best / most privacy fiendly bitcoin laws? on: June 04, 2022, 10:59:10 PM
Which countries dont ask for KYC for their citizens buying bitcoin on exchanges.

and how come no exchanges have set up operations in those nations and gave a middle finger to the US and EU when asked to collect KYC on their exchanges?

It shouldn't be so hard to anonymously buy bitcoin.

I do not think that there are countries which are lenient when it comes to transacting with cryptocurrencies and BTCs. On Asia itself, most of the exchanges require the submission of KYC documents for you to access their local exchange where you can exchange conveniently your BTCs/cryptocurrencies to cash.

In the Philippines, while our central bank has been silent with laws and implementations regarding the transacting with such, our main local exchange requires one to submit tons of KYC documents (e.g. ITRs, etc.). Though this may be the case, I do think that surrendering in this function is much more convenient and safer than to find someone for a p2p transaction.
2066  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel when the market is downtrend? on: June 04, 2022, 10:41:45 PM
How do you feel when the bear market is happening and do you hate it?. Every time a bearmarket happens, I always have valuable lessons that the bull market doesn't have. So always be grateful when the market goes down, it gives us many lessons, lessons about emotions, lessons about capital management, trust and patience.

The bear market is not the end but the beginning of a new and better start, the bear market is a measure of our confidence in the market. Worthy rewards will only come to those who truly believe in the market.

As someone who has a relatively small amount of BTCs, I would say that this bear market has given me the opportunity to HODL further my coins and sell them at a price where I am comfortable at. Many people have been open with this bear market for months now but I see this as an ongoing opportunity for people to purchase more while the prices are low.

Though this may be the case, I also do think that it is easier said than done in my experience compared to some who have like thousands of dollars worth of BTC. This means that the slightest increase/decrease on the price could mean a gain/loss of hundreds of thousands on their end, which explains on why some are disheartened by this situation.
2067  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can You See Or Tell If A Fight Or Event Is Fix ? on: June 04, 2022, 10:30:13 PM
It could be on basketball, boxing or horse racing, or any kind of sport, after being in a particular sport for many years can you see or tell if a fight or event is fixed, there are upsets but in the back of our mind, there's a possibility that the match or game is fixed.

There are some external signs that may indicate that a game has undergone "game fixing."

I remember, there was a basketball event held in the Philippines where players should have been competitive with each other. Unfortunately, during the 2nd quarter and onwards, the players just started scrambling; turnovers and pointless shots were made. It is like, no effort has been made at all. This was very surprising given that the team that threw the game played well in their previous games.

2068  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: taking out a loan for a sports bet on: June 04, 2022, 10:12:57 PM
recently I've come across some information for an upcoming soccer match and I'd like to place a big bet of 50-100k, how easy would it be for me to take out a loan and how long would it take? has anyone else done something like this?

feel free to message me or comment below  Smiley

The unspoken rule in gambling is that never use a loan to fund your entertainment or bets. This would only cause the person to continue betting and borrowing money until he/she has satisfied his bet. But given the nature of gambling being highly unpredictable, this would only result to your loans getting higher and higher overtime.

Given the nature of your account, I'd say that it would be nearly impossible for you to loan money without having any collateral in exchange. Sometimes, forum ranks are given basis in order for your request to be granted. Given that you are relatively new in this space and you are already thinking of acquiring some loans to fund the most unpredictable nature of such purpose, then I highly doubt someone would provide and fund you.
2069  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much do you care when you wear a commercial Signature? on: June 04, 2022, 09:30:24 PM
.
Do you research before Apply?

Generally, I do not.

The signature campaigns that I participated into can give you a brief background about the company. Mostly, signature campaigns have been started by gambling companies since their purpose is to advertise their online casino against hundreds to thousands of competitors in the market. If the campaign manager of the signature seems to be a trusted member, then there is no reason to doubt the campaign itself as the manager already did the work of background resarch.

Quote
Do you feel like they hired you?

Oh definitely! Once the campaign manager chooses you to be part of the campaign, you have this sense of responsibility to do your work and to achieve the weekly quota in order to receive payment.

But in most cases, the reason behind the advertisement goes beyond the payment. Every time I participate in these campaigns, I feel like they gave me the opportunity and privilege to work under them- like the campaign manager reviewed my post history and checked that I am qualified to represent the campaign for the period. With this, I feel like they chose and hired me for this purpose, in which I do not take for granted.

Unfortunately like you mentioned, people who applied in 1xbit campaigns are people who are just chasing around for payment. Everyone in that campaign consist of people having negative trust- like the campaign itself is plagued by spammers and untrusted people.
2070  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lucky Winners of the Day - Random Pick on: June 04, 2022, 09:11:19 PM
The stars have aligned for this guy to win- imagine betting $34 and winning $2800 in the process. The odds that he placed are just significantly low and he won with his. bet. Generally, these kinds of bet should be avoided but in his case, he just won the win of his lifetime.

Again, these kinds of bets should be avoided unless you have the capital to do so. As far as I know, the chances of winning or succeeding in winning this kind of bet is just low that the payout would most likely be outweighed by your wager in the process.
2071  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paid the birth fee using bitcoin at the clinic, by accident. on: June 03, 2022, 11:59:40 PM
Dude, congratulations for having your first baby in the family! The feeling is definitely surreal- being able to take care and see your child growing up is an experience that is worth everything. Make sure to properly take care of the family and keep your obligations intact for a stable and healthy upbringing process.

Anyway, it is just truly beholding to see the development of cryptocurrencies over the years. Before, its released was frowned upon and lots of people criticized its decentralization aspect. But now in this day and age, you will find it rare for a person if they do NOT know about the existence of BTCs- in fact, many have already started integrating it into their financials and payment methods.

Again, congratulations for your family and may this experience bring you further closer!
2072  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bought anything with btc? on: June 03, 2022, 11:54:52 PM
So, guys the thing is, do you use bitcoins as an investment or ever bought anything with bitcoins? Maybe a different approach? Do share experience with us

I have bought tons of stuff using BTC- one of the notable one was back in the years of 2017-2019 where I used majority of my BTCs (converted them to cash thru our local exchange) were spent and allocated in order to purchase additional educational materials (e.g. books, pens, etc.) to partially fund my college experience.

Like what I usually comment on similar posts like these, this forum is truly a blessing not only for me but also to my family as they indirectly benefitted from it. Without the convenience of working online, I would probably be working beyond normal work hours just to make ends meet.

Currently, majority of my BTCs are kept in my local exchange and separate wallet for security. While keeping them here may be relatively safe, it is still highly advisable to transfer them to a hardware wallet in the future.
2073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: friendly and profitable board for beginners, have you realized it? on: June 03, 2022, 11:45:07 PM
That it is an entertaining board, I agree, but betting following the tips given here does not seem to me to be a good system to make money, in the same way that betting is not usually a good system to make money in general, rather to pass the time and if you are lucky to win money that day, but not as a system.
He's probably aware of it but I guess what OP wants to point out is that you can find some helpful information here in the gambling discussion board that you can't find somewhere else since you rarely see people discuss their predictions and we usually see tipster services that barely offer any analysis.

Sometimes you can find threads that provide more insight on matches that you bet on even though it's not guaranteed to win you money it still saves you a lot of time from looking up stats, reports, and other information before locking in your pick.

This is the beauty of this forum- people can share their ideas, experiences, and insights that would provide more knowledge to other beginners that would fuel their fire and convince them to gamble on a certain team that they have more knowledge about.

With hundreds to thousands of people active in this forum daily, no wonder that there are tons of information being spread across regarding a certain topics. For example, people who watch competitive chess can share their insights and in-depth knowledge that would help beginners understand more about the game.

While YouTube, Google, or other search engines may provide additional information about a certain topic, this forum can still be considered second-hand knowledge when it comes to cryptocurrencies or sports betting.
2074  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto exit strategies on: June 03, 2022, 11:35:03 PM
We don't literally have to exit the whole market, you've just got to exit at the right time and price if you're wanting to take some profits.

The most common strategy is by using stable coins so your profit will be there and you can reinstate to the crypto that you've got originally as you get back those cheaply.

I agree with you- an exit strategy must be also considered a contingency plan where you would determine if it is the right time for the person to pull-out their investments in order to prevent further loss or to maximize profit.

This is one of those strategies where people took for granted. Despite cryptocurrencies being very volatile, they fail to create an exit strategy/contingency plan in case the price drops/increases. While a price increase is something that everybody wants, a price drop should be controlled as well to determine what % of your profits you are willing to lose in the process.
2075  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA Finals 2022 - Warriors vs Celtics. on: June 03, 2022, 11:24:17 PM
I really did not expect Warriors to lose the first game especially with their home court advantage. Along with their playoff experience, massive home court advantage, lots of stars and notorious offensive strategy, I find it difficult to believe that they really lost game 1, but that is basketball for you.

We really have to give credit on how Celtics ran their defense strategy against the Warriors. Playoff Al showed that he can be dangerous in any parts of the field along with his built and three-point capability.

Though Warriors may have lost this game, I really wish that they would learn from this defeat and ran their counter defense/offense against the strategy of Celtics. Again, Warriors will definitely win the playoff run this year!
2076  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What would you do if you are me on: June 03, 2022, 03:28:46 PM
Is Antivirus still a good way to avoid some malware on my PC? I want to start working on my PC online but I don't have any Antivirus or security on the system since it's been year's since I work on PC last, also I have two to three crypto wallets on my PC.

Like what most have suggested, if you plan on downloading a crypto wallet for your cryptocurrencies, better provide or purchase a hardware wallet as this is considered one of the safest ways of storing your cryptocurrencies.

Unfortunately, it was alleged that anti-virus protection also creates viruses- that is why it is inevitable that people upgrade regularly. In order to provide maximum security, avoid clicking random websites and downloading random links without first checking or doing a background check on the files.
2077  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How often do you transact in the real world with your bitcoin or digital money? on: June 02, 2022, 11:24:45 PM
Fortunately, there is a local exchange in our country that offers easy and convenient conversion rates of BTC (or any other altcoin) to cash. Not only do you convert them quickly (rates are much lower) but you can also use such money to pay for various of services and products, such as paying the bills, ordering some food, etc.

While this feature may seem convenient, the problem with this is that the local exchange requires tons of KYC documents to the point that it asks for your ITRs, source of income, etc. While this may be also the case, I think it is just and fair that the exchange requires these documents as it is also for our protection in case the government freezes our accounts in the event of a huge transaction.
2078  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Mantra After, while playing And Before You Gamble on: June 01, 2022, 11:45:33 PM
Yes that's true, experience is actually the best teacher after all but I do understand them because I also have some friends that is doing the same stuff. Actually it's not like they are basing their lucks in mantra or beliefs because even them know that luck isn't based on things, they're just doing that stuff because that makes them more comfortable and it boost their confidence. Though it may be outrageous to see but eventually you will also get used to it, also it's not our business because that's how they play.

Exactly you got the right point. I also think that having such a habit is not unusual or something to blame. I saw above that many people are looking at it with blame. Yes, this does not mean that gambling can be won by saying these words. To say this means to feel a different comfort while gambling. I also use some common words when I start the game, and use some words to win and some words to lose. I don't see anything wrong with that

I agree with you.

Like the previous comment that I mentioned, having your own designated mantra may not entirely affect the odds but it gives you this sense of relief and confidence before you gamble. Similarly, pep talks are somehow attributable especially it gives you feeling of encouragement from yourself as it eliminates the anxiety and stress from gambling.

While mantras do not have a direct impact and effect to the odds (like I previously mentioned), it is also advisable that a gambler discovers any method or technique that would help them realign their mind and decision before they gamble (this prevents overspending).
2079  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the golden rule of investment? on: June 01, 2022, 10:40:49 PM
I have a friend who invests in cryptocurrency like me, he is an investor hold Luna and he has also lost quite a bit because of Luna. But what's more sad is his 2 best friends. Those two are also hold a lot of Luna's and Luna's crash causes them to lose all their possessions and become insane. As he said, one person has gone through the crisis and one has not. Those two guys who invested in Luna were all from my friend's advice. He said it was he who indirectly harmed them, money can be earned, but his friend are gone.

This is a sad story that I have heard. Through this story I want everyone to know 1 golden rule in investing is: never give financial advice to anyone. By the time you give them financial advice, you may feel like you're one step ahead of them, but if that advice is wrong, you could be the one hurting them.

I will not say that this is the golden rule of investment but one must always have a contingency before they invest. In addition, the investor must also determine the limits of his/her investment (e.g. knowing when to cash out their investments and/or pullout incase of crash in the market). What happened among you friends is that, the other one got greedy and decided to at least wait for more time to cash out.

In the event of a crash, always have a contingent plan about the investments. Lastly, also invest on the money that you can and are willing to lose. Treat your investments as "loss money" so the feeling of loss (in such event), will not be that too bad.
2080  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction causing victim to scam his family on: June 01, 2022, 03:42:05 PM
Such person is really need a professional to take care of him, I'd say beggars are more better than gambling addicts because beggars didn't make anyone got harm from his action, they only need money to buy foods, if not they will eat from leftover foods. If gambling addict can't change his mind and become more realistic to manage his money and his action, he could be lunatic/insane person.

it depends... there are many beggars who have found a way out of the cruel world in which they live in drugs.
So a beggar can also be an addict and do bad things to other people to maintain his addiction.
But I agree with you about the need for someone to take care of these people, and in the case of gambling addiction, the first help needs to come from the family, because it is surely he who will notice the first signs that something is not right.

I think this is a failed comparison as beggars and gamblers are worlds apart from each other.

Beggars always have that potential of becoming potential criminals due to the nature of their circumstances- they have no food and rely on alms to at least eat one or twice a day (not to discriminate all beggars). Though gamblers also have that potential, they are at less risk of evolving into one since their situation can be remedied IF (emphasized on IF) they change their habits and ways.

Unlike beggars, the only way to remedy their situation is having a good foundational education and get a stable job.
