There's a Trojan in there... Type: Trojan

Trojan.ADH.2 is a detection technology designed to detect entirely new malware threats without traditional signatures. This technology is aimed at detecting malicious software that has been intentionally mutated or morphed by attackers. EDIT: just read the first post, kinda sucks diablominer doesn't have a "Trojan", and it works great aside from stratum. ugh :\ EDIT2: Just tried cgminer... had to allow it in Norton internet security, and it still won't work... |

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Running RDP to the mining rig kills the GPU and crash's CGMiner and requires a reboot of the whole mess. That's been my experience anyway.
Same experience here. RDP is awful for mining. I've also found tightvnc works best for win 7. Does monitoring work via tightvnc? Yes. ADL works via tightvnc. RDP causes CCC to crash and ADL calls fail for any aplications using them. Or try teamviewer. It's for Win and *nix and Mac |

Only if you give it parameters to change any of the settings, otherwise all it does is monitor the values. |

Im not sure why but i tried bfgminer now. It has the same error when trying bfgminer -n but its hashing fine where cgminer gives a black screen. I dont know the reason but at least i can check the hashrates of my gpu now.

Can I just put "--auto-gpu 75" into the flags section in guiminer to adjust to temp? Is that how it works?

--auto-gpu doesnt have a value. You should check the normal readme for temperature settings. |

I don't know why I"m giving you this when I should be telling you to read the README --auto-fan --auto-gpu --temp-target 75 --gpu-fan 25-100 --gpu-engine 400-XXX (XXX= whatever your overclock is) Then if you're using 5xxx cards: --gpu-memclock 300 If you're using 6xxx or 7xxx cards: --gpu-memdiff -150 |

I installed cgminer on arch, but it's segfaulting when I start. I'm using the latest catalyst packages with the xorg113 repo and v2.5 of the SDK.
Any ideas?

I'm having a bit of trouble getting cgminer to play nicely with my 7950 and 5830 under Ubuntu 12.04. I understand that mixing 7000 series and 5000 series cards is unsupported and can cause issues with the different SDK revisions, but I'd like to see if it's at all possible to get things working. I have tried using the pre-built version as well as building from the latest git source. My Linux is a little rusty, so forgive me if I've made a simple mistake. I installed the AMD APP SDK v2.5 first (extracted using tar, ran the install script), and then installed v2.7. Did I overwrite the 2.5 install by doing this? Do I need to manually install each SDK and link them myself before building cgminer? Then I followed the readme instructions to build cgminer. There's clearly two things wrong here. First off, the 5830 is not a Tahiti card. Secondly, the ADL seems to fail to initialize (although I do see temperature sensors and fan sensors when I run cgminer). I think the mis-identification of the second card is leading to my issues when I try to actually mine with it. When I run cgminer, the second card is listed, and I can check all the hardware status. However, the second card activity is zero, but the hash rate seems to be split between the two cards (the 7950 normally gets ~550Mh/s at these settings): cgminer version 2.11.4 - Started: [2013-04-13 11:59:02]

Changing SDKs there is no need for a recompile, but you must delete any .bin files generated so they're regenerated. Note there is no clean way to uninstall though so be careful when removing the old one to make sure it really has gone. AMD seems to have taken its ideas for uninstall from windows where you just say it is uninstalled but leave half the files there.
Hey mate, As per your suggestion I rolled back the APP SDK to 2.7. I'm having mixed success. Using the following.... export DISPLAY=:0

Bumping intensity up to about 18 which I typically run on my other computer with a different card I get hardware errors instead. If I try and use thread concurrency instead, I keep running into Error -5. For instance using this line... export DISPLAY=:0

As far as I can see, it appears only one GPU is working even though all of them are reportedly hashing. Usually I'd muck around with the thread-concurrency settings which is what I did when I tuned my 6950 in a different computer, but these kernal error's that I don't understand are really limiting what I can do.
