Just updated to version 3.0.1 my 7970 runs fine but my 5770 just gives error.
invalid nonce - HW error.

I'm using ccc version 13.4 on windows 7 64bit.

Anyone have any idea how to fix this issue?
Put on separate MBs and it should work ok. Same MB not so much. Is in the readme about mixing and matching different series cards. Drivers work great on one aren't great on the other and sometimes cause other issues. Segregate into only 5XXX, 6XXX, or 7XXX cards to a rig and it will work great.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Just managed to get the first stable run of the new cgminer code for BFL ASICs on the Jalapeño with the early working code for it.

(5s):5.974G (avg):5.916Gh/s | A:748  R:4  HW:0  U:38.2/m  WU:86.6/m

Seems it's a bit faster than advertised which is nice. Not sure exactly why that is but perhaps the earlier ones were not the final boards they were going to release them with. More news as it comes to hand...

BFL SC Jalapeno arrived a short while ago

http://www.kano-kun.net/

When are you putting the code into git so I can get a hold of it, Josh said there should be one in the mail for me as well, I will be your verify if you want Cheesy .
Hackathon is underway. As soon as the code is in git master and working, I will inform the forum.

EDIT: I've received one too now.

Hah!  So let's see your unboxing vidya then!

You are in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike.

Q: Is this a virus?
A: Cgminer is being packaged with other trojan scripts and some antivirus
software is falsely accusing cgminer.exe as being the actual virus, rather
than whatever it is being packaged with. If you installed cgminer yourself,
then you do not have a virus on your computer. Complain to your antivirus
software company. They seem to be flagging even source code now from cgminer
as viruses, even though text source files can't do anything by themself.

Q: Which AMD SDK is the best for cgminer?
A: At the moment, versions 2.4 and 2.5 work the best for R5xxx and R6xxx GPUS.
SDK 2.6 or 2.7 works best for R7xxx. SDK 2.8 is known to have many problems.
If you are need to use the 2.6+ SDK or R7xxx or later, the phatk kernel will
perform poorly, while the diablo or my custom modified poclbm kernel are
optimised for it.

... and anyone interested Smiley
There's a change from the spec with the ZOX command Tongue

The reply from getting the work result queue (ZOX) has an extra line (vs the spec) inserted first at the top.
It is: "INPROCESS:1<LF>" (1 or 0)
1 means it is currently hashing on work
0 means it isn't

No idea why they added that.
We certainly don't need it Smiley

Hi,

is there a different between the cminer.exe from the downloadpage and one selfcompiled on Windows?
The downloaded .exe is ~500 K and the selfcompiled ~320K  ?

That would explain why I'm not able to push my 7970 above 600 with this release.

Nonsense that would have no effect on your hashrate. The reason it's larger is the exe is compiled with support for all the drivers.

Can you help me figure out what is wrong when I try to use 3.0.1? It is specific to this new version because 2.11.4 is still working. I am on Windows 7 x64 with all the updates and I have a 6970 in it with the 13.5 beta 2 AMD drivers.

Q: Which AMD driver is the best?
A: Unfortunately AMD has a history of having quite a few releases with issues
when it comes to mining, either in terms of breaking mining, increasing CPU
usage or very low hashrates. Only experimentation can tell you for sure, but
some good releases were 11.6, 11.12, 12.4 and 12.8. Note that older cards may
not work with the newer drivers.

Has anyone tested these drivers on 5850's with cgminer using scrypt?

Headsup for 5k series users.

Ok. I've expressed uninstalled 13.2 Beta 7, ran driver sweeper in safe mode, rebooted back into safe mode, did a registry clean with registry clean expert, rebooted. I've installed 13.5 Beta 2 on my Windows7 x64 machine. I am guessing with supplied SDK, as GPU-z showed I have opencl enabled.

Mining on cgminer 3.0.1-windows scrypt.

I don't see any increase nor decrease in hash rate for litecoin mining with my two 5850's on 13.5 Beta 2 with cgminer 3.0.1-Windows scrypt.

So far, so good. This is good news for me so far, prior, anything over past 13.2 beta 7 drivers, I had sensor detect problems with hwinfo64, and overclock problems, these problems are solved with this latest AMD driver I am using now, also this driver is good for 7k series card I am guessing, so, if and when I get a 7950, I should have no problems, hopefully.
