Does anyone have MOD for this particular memory Hynix H5GC8H24MJ (new model)?

I tried with these cards:

XFX RX 580 8GB Hynix
NITRO RX 580 8GB Hynix
MSI ARMOR RX 580 8GB Hynix

All with the same memory (H5GC8H24MJ)

MOD: 777000000000000022AA1C00B56A6D46C0551017BE8E060C006AE6000C081420EA8900AB0300000 01B162C31C0313F17

Tried with strap 1500 and 1750.

The best I did was:
720~ h/s with monero7
750~ h/s with heavy

GPU and MEM frequencies by default

"double_threads": true

"intensity": 51, "worksize": 8, "threads": 2

Drivers: Blockchain-Aug23 with Pixel Patcher 1.4.6
Install last driver.
Use mod 777000000000000022AA1C00B56A6D46C0551017BE8E060C006AE6000C081420EA8900AB0300000 01B162C31C0313F17
Than set memory to 2150 (maybe some lower depends on card quality - 2140 or 2125)
In SRB try intensity 72, 80, 88, 96, 104, 108. Every try wait 3-5 minutes...
Aren't there other straps for Cryptonight + Hynix 8GB? These straps are good for ETH (31+ in good ICs) but for CN is quite slow. I think we have room to improvement. Unafortunately (or fortunately) I dont have a 580 8GB with Hynix here to try to change something  Sad

You can try timing mod from SRB Polaris bios editor... Maybe it better...

Yeah, one more vote for Blockchain drivers for vega cards. New drivers don't do shi#.

I am using Adrenalin drivers without any hiccups such as hasrate drops on single Vega card (also got same hashrate as I was getting in BC drivers).
Can't speak for multiple though.

So far I've moved over 2 vega rigs - 8 cards to the new Adrenalin drivers. No issues what so ever. Some cards are hashing a tad better, others the exact same.
Working just fine. Will probably move the other vega rigs over as I have time.

Your card is very low quality. With "777..." strap I haved 1 card that normal works without errors on 2140MHz memroy. 2nd card on 2125MHz.
"Pimp" straps better than stock. On SRB CN miner need to tune intensity. On default intensity speed is not optimal.

Yeah, I found the problem, Radeon Settings.  It was set to have off the crossfire, but it was still on.  Operator error, obviously.
Now that I've gone back to Aug 23rd drivers, I am going to attempt to upgrade - and double check those pesky crossfire settings again!

ASIC quality of my card is 78.8% (reported by GPU-Z).
For another card with a different memory type (also Hynix), with ASIC quality 78.1 and another mod, I easily reach 935 h/s for Cryptonight V7.
Therefore I think it is just a matter of finding the correct strap suitable for the type of memory and not the brand.

If your another hynix memory is AJR then it's normal that on it speed faster. AJR better than MJR...
Not only coorect strap important... For each strap it's need to find correct intensity. Just need to spend time to find it...

Still trying to write my own straps for Hynix 8GB MJR memory on Cryptonight.
Its not looking good  Grin

From public available ones, Nerdralph's give the best results on my cards, cant push too far beyond 2.000Mhz though.

what is the core clock and mem clock for your GPU? and what is your hash rate for CN-V7?

I try to go for 820-840mV@1200-1250Mhz core, depends on your asic %, memory above 2000 Mhz, also depends on your asic.
The h/s is just bad on the MJR memory, best i can is get about 930-940.
Funny really as these are my first rx 5x0 cards that i can't get beyond 1k h/s, even the 4GB ones go over 1k easy with the right straps.

Mostly I look at the consumption since i have a lot of this s***.

the best GPU you have, mem clock can't reach more than 2100? so I assume it will lower hash rate for ethash algo right?

These straps are for Cryptonight. You can push memory differently on different straps, depends how aggressive they are.
And no, i can't push more than 2100 on the ones i posted.

Thanks for sharing man.
Later maybe I will post my custom strap from polaris editor one click timing.
if your GPU can reach mem clock 2250 in polaris editor one click timing, with my strap you still can set mem clock 2250 and with core clock 1250 maybe you will get 950 h/s. ethash algo should got improvement also, with phoenix miner I can get 32.xx mh/s.

what is the core clock and mem clock for your GPU? and what is your hash rate for CN-V7?

I try to go for 820-840mV@1200-1250Mhz core, depends on your asic %, memory above 2000 Mhz, also depends on your asic.

this my strap that I modify from polaris editor one click timing.

with core clock 1250 and memclock 2250 should able to get more than 950 h/s.
