Use 54 intensity (CN HEAVY) ABOVE THAT it will lower Hashes on rx580

{
  "cryptonight_type": "heavy",
  "intensity": 54,
  "double_threads": true,
  "api_enabled": true,
  "api_port": 4028
}

Open Config.txt file delete all and copy that

JUST use it and try....

@dingdongtobias use also on my Rig 5x  Rx580 Aorus and 1x Rx480 Nitro+ i can push 6.3k Smiley

These people here think they just throw a number and voila.

For RX570/RX580
If 4gb cards.  59 intensity, wksize 8, dual threads
If 8gb cards   114-120, wksize 8, dual threads

Hi man + others

Thanks for the info, these are my new set of results; (double threads = true)

I cannot push this over 86 with 80 being most stable (5200+ hash)

ALL CARDS ARE 8GB

"gpu_conf" :
[
   { "id" : 0, "intensity" : 86, "worksize" : 8, "threads" : 2, "kernel" : 0},
   { "id" : 1, "intensity" : 86, "worksize" : 8, "threads" : 2, "kernel" : 0},
   { "id" : 2, "intensity" : 86, "worksize" : 8, "threads" : 2, "kernel" : 0},
   { "id" : 3, "intensity" : 86, "worksize" : 8, "threads" : 2, "kernel" : 0},

   { "id" : 5, "intensity" : 86, "worksize" : 8, "threads" : 2, "kernel" : 0}

If I do I get this error:
 Error CL_MEM_OBJECT_ALLOCATION_FAILURE when calling clEnqueueNDRangeKernel for kernel 0 for DeviceID 1 (Thread 3)

How much is your virtual memory set to?  Make it at least  sum of VRAM of each GPU.
Also in order to hash higher increase core clocks to 1250 range (voltages 875-925mV core, 900mV mem)

Also I don't have  "kernel" : 0, in my GPU config settings.  Not sure how that changes things.

I Have Tested The Miner Vs Claymore 11.3

Hash Speed With Claymore 11.3
RX580 8GB MSI =   968 hashes 1200/2000
RX580 8GB GTS = 1024 hashes overclocked core to 1315 mem 2100  Grin Grin
RX570 8GB MSI =   974 hashes 1200/2000
RX580 4GB GTS =   825 hashes 1200/1950 Huh

Hash Speed With SRBMiner v1.5.9
RX580 8GB MSI =  994 hashes core 1200/2000 Grin
RX580 8GB GTS =  998 hashes core 1200/2000 Grin
RX570 8GB MSI =  995 hashes core 1200/2000 Grin
RX580 4GB GTS =  955 hashes core 1250/1950 Grin

I do have my own custom bios For all cards so results may not be the same for everyone but these are the best i could get

in my comparison the two miners or the best but SRBminer with a 4 card gpu rig hases at 3980 hashes compared to 3860 hashes with claymore 11.3

now all we need is a linux version of this miner so i can run it on my SMOS rigs

so untill that happens im stuck with Claymore 11.3 and SRBminer on my 2 Windows Rigs

so as far as the fastest miner goes SRBminer Hands Down Is the King in my book Grin Grin

Thanks you for the miner, it work well but on one of my rig with 8xRX570 - 4g.

It only see/work with one GPU, (using awesome miner).

Do you know why ?

Next version in a day or two

have a litle trouble

algo heavy

cards rx470-570 4gb
double treads work fine
in config "intensity" : 29, "double_threads" : true

single treads dont work with error
Error CL_INVALID_BUFFER_SIZE when creating scratchpad buffer for DeviceID 0 (Thread 0)
in config "intensity" : 57, "double_threads" : false

if set intensity 0 setting 44 and slow rate
same rig work fine with config "intensity" : 58, "double_threads" : false
same drivers version 18.2.1 same swap size 60gb for 12 card same windows version 1709

CL_INVALID_BUFFER_SIZE errors means you're running out of GPU mem.  Reduce your intensity.

Coin switching for the same algo shouldnt be hard, your proxy sends info in json which coin to mine, minert just switches to the pool/wallet for that coin, and continues to mine. Smiley

That's exactly what it does now, it works without a hitch Smiley (Although the switch is manual)

If you manage to make it stable enough ("it never does, it's a continuous fight against new drivers and windows updates" Smiley)) ), i can make SRBMiner compatible with it.

You mean algo switch? That sound superb!

Although now I'm a victim of the win 1803 update, it updated no matter what I did to avoid it, apparently it was not enough.. Now mining above 9500 total hashes (I used to be able to do 13500) hangs the system, so back to Eth mining until I figure this out :\

If it isn't too much trouble could you make the miner show total average hashrate from the time the miner was started? At the moment it only shows max and average for last 5 minutes when you press "s".

Can you add Worktips coin under litev7.....

wtip coin is already there. just input "cryptonight_type" : "litev7", and put pool.txt in a wtip pool and wallet id.

what intensity would people recommend for mining cryptonight v7 algo (wanting to mine graft/monero) but the mining program freezes/ceases mining after 20-30 minutes I tried using cast xmr and that freezes and stops mining as well (haven works fine for me on SRB so trying to get SRB to work for cryptonight v7 algo)

I have 8x Video Cards but after the last update(v1.5.9) i can only see GPU0 but the hash rate is right showing the value of all 8x cards.
I don't know what is wrong, maybe i messed something, i merged all the files except config.txt and pool.txt.

I'm still testing, ill try to do a fresh config again to solve the issue.

V1.6.0
- Added support for Haven new algo after fork (block 89200)
- Added support for Masari new algo (fast) after fork (block 204000)
- Job timeout default is now 20 minutes
- More logging on miner startup
- Added option 'persistent_memory' in gpu_conf

+ 2 new algos added : 'haven' and 'fast'
So after the fork you can use them like :

"cryptonight_type" : "fast"
"cryptonight_type" : "haven"

+ As some have issues with miner 'just waiting some time' on startup, i added more logging option so we can catch where it hangs, and i can possibly fix that
+ 'persistent_memory' parameter added to gpu_conf, basically what it does is tries to allocate some memory that is normally not available to the GPU. It can increase hashrate in some ocassions, by finding the right intensity and threads setup, but also it can make the gpu crash, so it's up to you to experiment Smiley

I am still looking for the cause of random miner crashes (mostly on new 'great' win 1803 update), also for the abnormality that causes higher hashrate on after X runs.

For RX570/RX580
If 4gb cards.  59 intensity, wksize 8, dual threads
If 8gb cards   114-120, wksize 8, dual threads

Hi man + others

Thanks for the info, these are my new set of results; (double threads = true)

I cannot push this over 86 with 80 being most stable (5200+ hash)

ALL CARDS ARE 8GB

"gpu_conf" :

Hi Man,

Thanks for the reply, you are correct my core clock values where bit low from previous setup to save power.
Ether mining different to v7 mining. I have now increased CC value to 1250 and 1000/mv
I have initial VRAM set to 34000 and 56000 Max - this should be plenty.
I'm getting more hash now with this new setting, see below. I know wonder if can increase intensity further due to changes.

Same problem here ! (but i don't know if it come from the last update, first time i use SRBMiner)

But it's only do it on 1 rig on the 3 i got

Thanks for the update seems good, sorry for silly question, how does one access the log file?

Also for persistent_memory what kind of test rig you test on and any recommended settings?

thanks for update Smiley
is this correct usage?
   { "id" : 0, "intensity" : 112, "worksize" : 16, "threads" : 2, "persistent_memory" : true},
didn't crash, but no hashrate changes too

PS you broke JSON API. it shows "cryptonight_type": "\u0000\u0000\u0000\u0000\u0000\u0000\u0000\u0000" instead of normalv7
